  1. Milan has a nice place and there is alot of history there. It will be a pleasant experience for GP and there fans. I played against Milan in the 80's and they have always been a hard nosed, smack you in the mouth football team. I also met CPA fans at the Camden game and I met GP fans last week in Madison, All I can say is that both were very polite, nice, and thoughtful. This should be a great game between 2 very tradition rich schools. I wish a safe, hard hitting game to both teams with no injuries.
  2. I forgot how many region 6-2AA teams are still in the playoffs? What about 7-2AA. Enough said
  3. I'm very proud of our boys, my son will play for Camden also,he played for Jr. high this year. My point is to get better we have to pick up the competition level above the teams we are playing or go to a different classification. I am proud of the fact we were Region 6-2AA Champs but we got to improve this team and build off of this and were not going to do it playing the region competion that we play. Yes, I am a fan,but I'm also a realist.
  4. Know it very well. How many times did Camden scrimmage or play Humbolt or Trenton this year? Yes we did get to go to playoffs, on a buy, and yes we did get beat by BA 42-7. Whats your point? Mine is that if they would have played Humbolt, Milan, and Trenton this year they would have lost 2 of 3 because they could not move the ball against very good D's ( example: Huntingdon , Westview, and Lewis co.) 1 TD against all three, a blocked punt and two field goals. CPA has never seen a O like Alcoa, Goodpasture has ,remember state last year when Alcoa beat Goodpasture 55-13, It wouldn't surprise me to see it again. Remember, Alcoa has lost to 2 teams , Maryville is Nationally ranked and only beat Alcoa 17-14, Fulton was #1 in 3-AAA and beat Alcoa 24-21, and Chat. Mccallie was #1 in Div.II AAA and Alcoa beat them, and as a matter of fact I think Mccallie knocked off BA. Alcoa has not lost to a 2-AA school since 2003. Did very well against Milan, Trenton, and Humbolt is not beating them.
  5. Camden didn't play 3 of the 4 listed if they would have they wouldn't have been playing in Round 2 last night. I said this in a earlier post, Camden used to play the Cream of the crop when we were district 14. I also said it in a earlier post, Alcoa is a public school and they will dominate all the way to the state game for #3. Including Goodpasture. 6- 2-AA was just a good region. Not a great one
  6. You called this one and Camden,.I was simply amazed at how easily CPA moved the ball on Camden. They completly dominated. Lowry was impressive and very poised, is he a Jr. or Sr. Legitimate D-1 QB. Camden's D was not able to stop the run or pass.
  7. YOU'VE BEEN SERVED!!!! Care to ride in that Helicopter to CPA/ Goodpasture next week?
  8. What He said, They Dominated us from A-Z , both sides of the ball, from start to finish.
  9. My pick for State Champ. Alcoa 63 Sweetwater 17
  10. Goodpasture rushed the ball 29 times for 295 yards and Stroud threw 7 of 13 for 218 yards according to the Tennessean.
  11. I agree , Goodpasture put 457 yard of O on CPA earlier this year. Someone told me this morning they put 513 on Lewis Co. last night .
  12. Exceded my prediction, CPA and Goodpasture both completely dominated last night. I was at Camden and the game was over mid way through the 1st. quarter at half time Camden and Cpa fans were trickling out. And Goodpasture handled CPA pretty good earlier this year. 6-2AA just doesn't have the competition of region 5. congrats to Camden and LC on good season.
  13. Waverly couldn't beat Camden and CPA blowed both camden and Wavo out.If those games were to be played again next week you would still have the same results. CPA would still blow them both out. Congrats to Camdens senior class and 6-2aa championship. Did I mention Camden would smoke Wavo again.
  14. When I played for Camden in the 80's and we traveled to Milan there always seemed to be an awe around Milans stadium and team, I think it was because we were about to play Milan who at that time was just terribly always good and John Tuckers reputation of winning games, I consider him the Bear Bryant of High School football in TN. with that, I say Milan 21 Trenton14
  15. Who's the best running back in 2AA that you have ever seen? The best all around back I have ever seen was Terrance Bell of Huntingdon, he was a terror in 2003. He set all kinds of records in the State title game that year. I thought he would go on to a D1 school but someone told me he played for Bethal now. Any Truth?
  16. I didn't say Donald was effective on offense He was defensively, camden tried to keep the ball away from him all night and he had a big game still, someone posted 1.5 sacks , I say at least 4 and tackles at the line all night at that game.when he came on a blitz he was not stopped.
  17. You need to check your Stat's a little better. Don't talk to me about being loyal, I played from 85-88 for Barry Barnett back when it was District 14 and Camden really played some Competition I.E. Milan, Jackson South Side, Humbolt ,Lexington. I'm a Realist Camden will have it toughest game of the year friday night and if they win they will lose to Goodpasture in a Severe butt kicking just like last year. Don't say they lead through the first half either everyone knows that and it in the past. they got dominated the second half. Best of luck for my Lions they will need it.
  18. B.T. Washington recieved money to travel to Alcoa. I wish Camden would play some of the top tier schools and the schools can arrange it if they would. I would have drove to Blount county to see Camden play, or anywhere else in the state for that matter.
  19. The 2004 Huntington/ Alcoa shoot-out was awesome.
  20. All I said was Camden needs to be on thier toes because like it, lump it, get over it, this will be the best team Camden has faced to date. As far as goodpasture and LC, NO ONE has held Goodpasture to fewer than 30 points this year except 3AAA David Lipscomb. No guru, I read the Tennessean every Saturday morning, maybe you should do the same instead of cruising Mickey D's and Sonic.
  21. No Guru here, I do see alot of games, been to all of camdens but one. No, I'm not a Guru< I'm a realist. If Camden makes it past CPA, They will go down to Goodpasture. Defenses of both thse teams are just to much for camden. FACT! Goodpastures front line will wear lewis County down and that stable of backs they have will score on the ground repeatedly and at will, if I'm wrong you can tell me about it, if I'm not your gonna hear about it. It's all for mute though, Alcoa will repeat as state champion. After all they haven't lost to a 2AA school since 2003. Goodpasture is loaded as well as CPA but they still don't have the talent to hang with Alcoa, niether does Camden. Huntingdons Chris donald had his way with Camden all night, Camden could not move the ball on them ,and if Golden did not block the punt and Gilliam took it in for the TD camden would have lost cause they could not move the ball. Fact.
  22. Goodpasture wins big, Lewis County won't stop the running game. The front line of Goodpasture will wear LC down by halftime and Goodpastures depth just keeps scoring. Goodpasture wins in a physical beat down.
  23. I've seen Camden play all year, Camden is a good team but thats it, a team with a good defense will shut camdens O down, Want examples, Huntingdon, Westview, And Lewis County. Camden could not and would not have made it as far as they have without thier defense. CPA will be the biggest challenge Camden has seen all year if they are not on their toes Cpa will make it ugly. CPA is a very physical team on O and D. any mistakes and they will make you pay I'm rooting for camden since I live there but don't get the big head because you beat DCA, this is a different beast. Remember they hung 21 on the #1 team in the state in the mud and rain and got stopped on the 6 on downs one other time in the game.
