I think there are a few reasons Cornersville stayed close: 1) Forrest did not shoot the ball well from outside to open up the post for Shankle who still managed to score 23 points. 2) In my opinion, Coach Mac from Forrest does not go deep enough into his bench like Cornersville does to use all the talent they have available. 3) I think the biggest reason Cornersville stayed close is that they are starting to beleive 100% in Coach Wilson's philosophy and it is only a matter of time (this year or next) that Cornersville will become a real powerhouse.

I saw that today trooper, but I knew MCHS was playing because the coaches have been telling me for sometime. Coach Steely did confirm those dates and times for MCHS on the phone with me this morning.

Not good greenwheel. How do they expect to gain a good gate without promoting the tournament?

I just spoke with coach Steely from MCHS and he said MCHS plays Thusday at 7:00pm and Friday at 1:00pm.

I have been an Eagles fan for 40 years, a season ticket holder from 1983 to 1989 and have a feel for what the team will do. I say Eagles 35 Cowgirls 10 and the lead in the Eastern Division. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marshall County High School is in the Tourney also...I wish we knew the dates and times each team was playing...I have to be at Eagleville too.

How can we improve the flow of information about holiday basketball schedules in the future? It seems there is no real system to get the word out to the fans who would be more than willing and to go support many of the tournaments.

I would have been there myself if I knew MCHS was playing here.

Can someone from the Smyrna area please give us the girls schedule for next week. I checked every website I could and found no information. I don't know why schools do not keep the public properly informed. It is only to their benefit.

Collinwood lost 56-54.

The Cornersville Bulldog got a huge win tonight versus Wayne County, 41-38. The game was neck and neck all night as the two team had a great battle to the very end when Lucas Highfill tipped in a missed shot to put the Dawgs over the top. This is the first time in quite a few years that Cornersville is 5-5 at Christmas time. Coach Adrian Wilson is doing a great job in Cornersville and is turning the program around. I think this is a team that could make some noise the second half of the season. Next week will be a big test for them versus Eagleville and Forrest at the Eagleville Christmas Tournament.

Collinwood lost their first game tonight versus Santa Fe 56-54. Collinwood had a chance to tie with 2.9 seconds left, but missed the front end of a one and one. The Trojanettes trailed by as many as 16 in the game against the Lady Wildcats, but mounted a fierce comeback in the fourth quarter, only to fall short. Abby Andrews was amazing in defeat!

I am realitively new to this forum, and in my line of work the information I get here at CoachT is invaluable. If the reader can decipher through the negativity that some people post and make sensible judgements for themselves the information obtained here is endless and important. I was amazed when I first found this site and I am even more amazed today at the wealth of knowledge that can be obatained here at CoachT. Thank you everyone for all you do to help people like me.

Does anyone know the schedule of the Smyrna Christmas Tournament next week?

The Lady Dawgs could not throw the ball in the ocean tonight and lost to East Literature 44-37. It was a game that was frustrating to watch for Bulldog fans as the girls should have won, but just did not shoot well. Sarah Nelms had 12 and Lizzie Hewitt scored 10 for the girls from C-ville.
