No way you think yall are evenly matched athlete wise lol
I watched a couple of their games on NFHS and could tell that very quickly, ER would have to have a very awful game for York to have a chance to win...

Page wins 10-7. crazy ending. SW had a chance at the end but Page D came up big.
Yeah, tight game!

These York announcers are hilarious.
wanting a grounding call when he threw it right at Groves . The safety valve
and the announcers said he was “standing on the sideline and the refs thought he was in the game”, lmao he was in the game
Exactly, someone needs to explain to him how grounding works...lol

Maybe 4A, but not 3A. That would mean they beat Alcoa on a regular basis and I can't see that
The 4A teams repping the east over the years aren't so shabby either...

For those who say the QB is not that good stats don’t lie, against HC and Beech Perkins is 28/47 for 512 yds and 7 TD’s.
Pretty sure everyone here has raved about how good the SW QB is...

As an East Homer I think riverside is better than both…
I got East and Riverside as a toss up, IF they both indeed win this week it would make for a good 2A title game imo...

All the Butt Hurt because of what coach said. Mad he said it??or Big mad he pointed it out?? Without the covid shutdown that pooled the talent to SW they would still be completely irrelevant.
How about just say congrats to them, they have a great team, how did he even know all of that, was never even mentioned until he spoke about it, I seriously had no clue, plus the covid stuff was like 3 years ago, SW was very average last year, which means they improved a lot in one year, pretty commendable if you think about it, just saying...

I will be making the trip for this one.
SW is a very good and athletic football team with a future big time QB.
You want a shoot out??? This one is a must watch!
Young man is cool as a cucumber out there, goes through progressions and has a cannon, pretty fun to watch, plus he is only a soph., do not see high school QBs that young that have that kind of composure very often...

This was the most disciplined team I have ever seen out of Memphis. I thought HC coaches knew what would happen if they didnt play possession football against a very talented team. The QB from SW was the deciding factor. He never got rattled, went through his progressions, and made the plays when needed. I think HC coaches made two critical errors this game. One was getting cute at end of 1st half with a minute to go and started throwing the ball instead of staying the course and giving his kicker a managable fg to go in the half up 4. Secondly, HC should have gone for 2 on the 3rd TD to try to go up 9 making it a two possession game in the 4th quarter to put maximum pressure on SW with such little time to go. I think HC had a great game plan to slow down SW but in the end, the talent level on offense was the deciding factor. Im a realist. SW has the best chance to win the gold ball between these two teams. They were a more rounded team that could afford to make a few mistakes. SW opened the playbook up where HC seemed to be holding on by a thread playing not to lose. I think SW beats Page by 14-21 next week and gives West all they want. The Pateiots have nothing to be ashamed of. For a team to look so bad in the preseason against Paducah to a very formidable foe in the playoffs was a testament to the development of these young men. Good luck to SW next week.
I feel Southwind has a great chance to win but I believe the game against Page will look similar to the HC game, Page has a huge Oline and will try to pound the ball and control the clock. They may even have a better defense than HC which will be interesting to see how they deal with SW's passing attack, SW's QB is doing things as a high school soph that Josh Huepel is trying to get 6th year college senior Joe Milton to do...lol
I said the HC game was toss up and that is pretty much where I am with this one right now, I am really looking forward to watching this one on NHFS or maybe it will be the Friday Night Rivals game of the week...

That actually sounds pretty good!

We should be talking about the SW soph. QB, he stood back there with no worries, calm, cool, and collected, and went through his progressions like a seasoned vet, that young man did not get rattled one bit, and it seemd like he had eyes in the back of his head, feeling pressure, stepping up, and throwing lasers, the one TD pass he threw to tie it up in the 4th qtr was on a rope!

I believe ER is on a row, hope I can watch this one next week somehow...

If I had a dollar for everytime I seen someone say Smith Co easy, or by 21 or more, if you are one of those your opinions are devalued, especially after watching them play the 1st time with ER only losing 14-7, where is your logic, has always been difficult to beat a good team twice...

I’ll admit I’ve only seen one game this year and it was a non competitive blowout win but they do have a really good quarterback who is spreading the ball around and making good decisions. From what I’ve gathered they don’t beat themselves with dumb penalties or have many self inflicted wounds. Scrappy, physical lineman who play bigger than they really are. Defense is solid as well. HC will be the best team they’ve faced all year so it’ll be interesting to see how the sophomore qb and handles playing on the road in a hostile wet environment.
That was my take away as well, not much size but still very good play on the line on both sides of the ball...

Athletes with discipline and Good coaching staff, is what makes SW good this year.
I believe their defense is not talked about enough, they swarm to the ball very well, having said that, their QB is really good, especially for only being a soph. This should be an interesting game...

Man, the winner of this game gets a ticket to the semis and that's it. I hope the winner of our game (preferably us) gets to Chattanooga, but there ain't no reason Page or Centennial doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt after the last 5-10 years. That region is legit.
I am with you, reguardless who wins this game, they will have their hands full with the Page/Centennial winner...

After watching film on Southwind, rain would be beneficial for Henry County's style of play. Southwind wants to spread you out and use their speed and athletic ability. They like to put the ball in the air. Hopefully we get a good rain during the game, coupled with the long ride to HC and crowd noise would be a great home field advantage.
I fully understand what you are saying, I dont want to sit in the cold rain though, if it does rain I will probably just watch online...lol

Really hoping that HC best defensive player is back this week, Demarcus Patton, HC will need him this week, been out due to injury.
Yes, the defense needs to be as intact as possible for this one, the SW offense is very explosive, really looking forward to this one, just hoping the weather holds up, they said it was supposed to rain last weel too...
