  1. I haven't seen Giles Co. play, but I'll go with Pearl-Cohn by less than 10.
  2. I can't believe Gerald Robinson hasn't been mentioned.
  3. Haha, you've obviously never seen Slater play when he's healthy.
  4. I understand that it's part of his game, but you have to admit, he does flop an awful lot. I have reason to dislike CPA, believe me - they're my rival school. Anderson is a good player, I just wish he didn't resort to some of his gimmicks. He has good D and a pretty good offensive game. Another thing: I respect people who take legit charges, but some of the stuff Anderson falls at is ridiculous, regardless if you admit it or not. Maybe "hate" was the wrong word, but would you logically assume someone is that angry and hostile to someone he barely knows? I also appreciate your addressing me as a "loser." Way to practice what you preach.
  5. If CPA wants to advance, they might wanna throw it in to Z a little bit.
  6. I heard he actually handed the award over to the assistant rather quickly. However, I think Maddux (although I hate to say it) deserved the honor.
  7. The main reason that Z didn't reach double-digits is because CPA completely got away from feeding him. In addition, he didn't work too hard on sealing and Smith from MLK is a very good post defender. The game was very exciting and I couldn't wished for a better one to watch. I think everyone not for CPA (and probably even some of them) hates Anderson (#1). If I see him flop one more time, I may lose it.
  8. AA - Gerald Robinson. His team doesn't have great talent, yet he led them to the regular season title in 9AA, one of the most difficult districts in the classification. Leads the midstate in scoring as well.
  9. Although CPA is riding high from the big win at Lipscomb on Thursday, I'll go with MLK in a close game. Gerald should carry the load once again, with good supporting performances from some of the others. Miller from CPA needs to actually score a bucket for CPA to have a shot.
  10. I agree with you for the most part. It was poor play, like I said, but I do attribute a lot of it to the coaching for each team. You're right, face-guarding Miller and opting for Anderson and Z to beat your isn't a great move, but it's one of the better ideas for guarding CPA, IMO. Even if the "players played as their coach's instructed," Clayton and Slater both missed crucial shots, namely Slater. Late in the game, he should hit those shots at the line. And you have to admit, nearly every 3 he (Slater) took bricked, not just missed.
  11. CPA beat Lipscomb, 35-32. I was at the game and it was really ugly. Slater, Clayton and Miller all played poorly, and I was especially suprised at Slater's lack of control. Anderson from CPA stepped up for Miller and Mason played pretty decent (hit 2 3's, good inside play). Overall, it was exciting but not great execution from either team. I was confused at DL's coaching; I would say they were outcoached by CPA. CPA's fans stormed the court after the game.
  12. Lipscomb in a close one, although it wouldn't suprise me if CPA came out on top.
  13. Pearl-Cohn got out to about a 12 point lead in the first quarter, and FRA was unable to get it any closer than 7.
  14. I hope this tournament doesn't get screwed up by the snow today...
  15. I believe they are being played at David Lipscomb High School.
  16. Does it make anyone else kinda irritated that the District tournament isn't being held one one weekend? It's always fun to have the semis on Friday and the Finals/Consolation games on Saturday. The championship on Monday just doesn't feel right. I'll miss the excitement, for sure.
  17. Any predictions for the play-in games on Thursday? Here are the matchups: FRA at Pearl-Cohn Hume-Fogg at CPA Ezell-Harding at David Lipscomb
  18. Haha, I just asked this in the 9-AA thread. I'm curious as well.
  19. Did anyone watch the CPA - Pearl-Cohn game last night? I noticed neither of the Mason brothers for PC scored. What's going on there?
  20. Haha, oh - I thought you meant that everyone didn't "remember," meaning that it seemed like so long ago. My bad.
  21. Umm, Pearl-Cohn beat Ezell by 35... http://preps.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/...4&story_id=
  22. Some big district matchups on Tuesday: David Lipscomb vs. FRA MLK vs. CPA Ezell-Harding vs. Pearl-Cohn Any predictions?
