  1. if there is a waiting list its because they have no space left. they got lucky and was left in their classification at the last count, I think they are the biggest 1a bball (2a) football school in the state. that will more than likely change at the next count. there has always been cases like this where a school or community is growing and it seems unfair for that school to be in a lower class when it appears they are over the limit, but the rules are set in a way to take care of that at next count and re classification will more than likely bump them up.
  2. The multiplier rule was to offset recruitment and scholarships, not open enrollment. In open enrollment you don't get to choose who you get to enroll! Open means anyone, not simply the athletically gifted.
  3. Sounds like mcnairy needs a new football coach. I agree the talent level at mcnairy has hit rock bottom but how that is adamsville footballs fault I don't see. They don't have a dominant boys basketball team. Open enrollment is a right of taxpayers in public schools. If I can get my kid there then they will go where I want them too if I am paying taxes in that county. The coach at mchs basketball is a good man, winning isn't everything, he teaches them right from wrong and self respect, there is value in that. The talent level at their own middle school has been down for 5 or so years, it's only natural the high school feels that effect, it will rebound. If they play in such a tough district how come they loose to Middleton (single a) every year. Right now they would struggle in single a but they will bounce back. They need a young football coach who actually goes and watches jr high kids play football in the county, the one they got now just assumes if they go to bethel or ramer that they will go to McNairy. I am. It saying recruit, but introducing yourself to jr high staffs around the county and building a repoire with them couldn't hurt. The coach they have now doesn't even attend their own pep rally's. If u had a boys who wanted to play football why wouldn't u let him go to Aville, do u not like success? Deep runs In the playoffs every year if not the state championship or would u send him to McNairy where you won't even make it to the playoffs. Even when they were a powerhouse football school, mchs barely got out of the first round. They also repeatedly ran up the score on people. It's funny now that Aville has kicked em in the teeth for 5 years and made the state championship twice they now start crying about being at a disadvantage bc of open enrollment. Take ur own medicene accept the whoopin's (cause u once dished em out) and get back in the trenches and make good things happen, start by getting a new football coach a relevant one with a personality, that will help bball. Look at the bright side open enrollment will eventually bump Aville up in classification, then it'll be even more interesting with mchs and Aville playing in same district for the same trophies.
  4. aville has been in AA for a little while and faired well compared to central......and that was in avilles rebuilding years.........as for bolivar and liberty, you are in thier district because you are the same size! that means you have no excuse for not beating them, aville does! besides you can still shoot for third behind them instead of your usual 4th or below. then in the region the top two teams advance to substate you could at least make it to a semi final game, but no! and you talk like mcnairy should be given an award for playing in the state champ district, they won it! not we! not our district! lets put an asterick besides centrals 9-15 records the past few years because they play in a tough district. you know the saying .........when the going gets tough! the cardinals get going! cowboy up and beat bolivar or liberty in february when it counts not in dec or jan. in frb or march.
  5. no better than third for the kittens.......liberty repeats as champs of the state, blow out city!......i think mcnairy has a ban on gold and silver........so its third or fourth for them at best.
  6. its simple math mcnairy has 753 enrolled students, aville has 422..............dang near double! when you weigh out the difference either aville is way better than they should be or mcnairy is way worse that they should be..........prolly a combination of both! lol! yeah the whole mcnairy rap music, cheerleader striper routine was a little risque! to say the least. as for humbolt and union city, bring em on, mcnairy couldnt beat em. as for bolivar and liberty being in your district, you are the same size school as them so whats your excuse for not getting to murpheesboro? you see what i am saying though, this is what mcnairy plays for one win and maybe a .500 record....aville plays for march and the gold, its all that matters, if we get beat by schools that are twice or three times our size along the way, they will only make us stronger! and help us reach our goal.........mcnairy will be lucky to get fourth and a region bid. aville pretty much rolls to substate........we dont pick the districts........and its not like mcnairy would have gone anywhere if bolivar and liberty didnt exist. they would still finish fourth. i got a question? bingham shot pretty lousy in the first half and not to well over all. he has done this each time i have seen him. how many shots must he have taken over the years to amass 3000 points? and couldnt any average joe score 3000 pts if he shot 20000 times?geesh becareful what you brag about. its about winning big games, games that matter, games in feb and march. face it this year mcnairy has maybe a 10% chance of getting to the state maybe! then you lose your whole offense, bingham........who you gonna let shoot 50 times a game then?
  7. macnarry.............the brain vs. braun comment was legit, you better check then re check your spelling you must have grautated! from the hill lol! mcnairy played prevent dunk defense! a version of hack a shack. from where i was sitting adamsville did not play very well missing numerous free throws and a couple open lay ups that was the difference. and the only difference. as for mcnairy that is about as good as they can play! it was the ken bingham show and tonight he didnt even star in his own production. its pass and pick for bingham when hes in there. mcnairy was like ticks on a dog on the big guys of adamsville so afraid to get dunked on. the difference in this series is plain and simple ......this game will make adamsville better, and enable them to play into march into what we like to call the regional and state tournaments. mcnairy on the other hand better win while they can cause bolivar and liberty looms in the waiting and it'll be a challenge to get to the region for them. bottom line.............its about winning games at mcnairy....woo hoo we beat adamsville who is less than half the size of our enrollment. at adamsville its about winning championships! anything less than murpheesboro is a failure at adamsville, evena 25-5 season last year.....NO one was happy with that. at mcnairy they hang fourth place distict plaques like they are proud of em. at adamsville walk in the locker room and lobby and all yo usee is gold and silver from the past 15 years. as for recruiting, thats a joke! mcnairy doesnt recruit they persuade in a more personal way than recruiting. single a teams have more class than mcnairy and know that adamsville runs a quality top notch program and that every t is crossed and i is dotted on mr knights tssaa papers. now if they can just dig the bobcat finger nails out of his arms after the muggins in the lane he might be a factor next time. look at bolivar and the madden kid last year transferred in played bball, left after the season and went back to his home school in arkansas to graduate. cry me a puddle. maybe they just dont know where to look for the right talent. as far as i know all of avilles roster is local except for knight who moved in from nashville. last time i checked it was legal for americans to move freely. kudos to mcnairy though, they are quick and decently good, but decently good in AA is usually 3rd or 4th in your district and a first round exit in the region. if they played in A they might have a shot at the title. by title i mean state title.........not district or region those dont mean anything at aviile, just another rung on the ladder. winning the state is the only goal. by the way i heard the freshman at aville thumped the bobcats thurday night by 20. should be an interesting next few years.
  8. should be a good game, aville needs to limit turnovers and establish a post game with knight and jackson.....since they will be a foot taller than everyone else....it should be a dunkfest. i am sure that the blue nation will be dissapointed to see their rims rattled like that. mcnairy is quick and smart, braun vs. brain......see ya sat. night
