  1. Go back and read my post again. They are wrestling in the Jones wrestling building AND the dome(the gym). 2 separate areas with plenty of room. Again, that EXCUSE won't fly.
  2. I never said Bradley wouldn't wrestle D2, I said since McCallie will be there Bradley will find somewhere else to wrestle. It seems they only have a problem with Baylor and McCallie as they(Bradley) have wrestled D2 schools such as Christian Brothers and Father Ryan.
  3. OK that EXCUSE won't work because the duals will be held in the Jones Wrestling building and the dome. Furthermore, I would be a bit skeptical of a coach that put the parents seating and comfort situation before their wrestlers getting good competition. I don't think that they do that. I'm sure you've probably heard it said if McCallie and/or Baylor will be there we (Bradley) won't be there and if you haven't heard that then you are probably not as close to the program as you think you are.
  4. It appears Bradley is tired of getting beat up on by Collins Hill year after year and since McCallie will be at the Cleveland Duals it is no surprise that Bradley will be going somewhere else to wrestle. As they say, it is their team and schedule and they can do it however they want to. Just gotta be the BIG FISH in a small pond!!
  5. Tax dollars vs. financial aid is apples to oranges. Please carry the dialect in an educated manner.
  6. When I read your reply the first thing that came to mind was "it is better to keep your mouth shut and let them think you are stupid than to open it and remove all doubt". Know what you are talking about before you post. The only time you have to pay tuition in Bradley Co. is if you live in the county and choose to go to a city school. Ye know of not what ye speak.
  7. If you are really serious about wanting Bradley to wrestle Baylor and McCallie then why not do away with financial aid on the D2 side. Then Baylor and McCallie could have the kids who are zoned for their school enroll and join the wrestling team and you would truly have a public school team. It would appear to me that Baylor and McCallie may not want this match to happen as much as they let on because then they would not have financial aid to acquire the athletes that they desire. Just a thought.
  8. That's a good question but I have heard there is a bigger question, like, will he even be at Greenback next year. I heard a very interesting rumor floating around on Friday.
  9. IMO that was a bit more than a display of emotion, it was an embarrassing scene. I will take into consideration his age but usually when you get to the H.S. level you are taught about things like Unsportsmanlike Conduct and the value of team points as I'm quite certain McCallie teaches this because I have always thought the McCallie wrestlers were very classy individuals. Speaking of which, was there a team point deducted? I did not see it called. I do agree that once that had taken place it should be addressed behind the scenes. Hopefully Mom and Dad gave him a little scolding too.
  10. I agree. I definitely think for an 8th grader this was very brazen, however that type of action is not what H.S. wrestling is all about. Personally, I would've liked to have seen Coach Connell go out and grab him by the ear and lead him off of the mat. I don't know Coach Connell but my guess is that you probably won't see that type of behavior out of the young man again. At least I hope not.
  11. Some of you guys on here are unbelievable! Leave the kid alone, he has suffered and he will probably suffer some more at a later time. Geez, u guys are supposed to be adults, get a life and quit gabbing about a kid who made a mistake. Grow up!
  12. You guys are hijacking my thread!! Keep it on topic.
  13. Who do you think is CoachT's wrestling mats most annoying poster? Please, no explanations just post their screen name.
