I agree, I was the ump behind the plate that game. Grundy co pitcher set state tourny record for strikeout's in that game with 17. forgot to back up third on a overthrow for the winning run to score.

Marshall has the best youth and summer program of any of the teams in this district. Giles Co. has a good group of kids that have played together since 10 yr old. no dominate pitcher though. Loretto has 2 good pitchers but nothing else. lewis county has 1 pitcher and avg hitting and defense. Page and spring hill both have new coaches with spring hill's coach being Coach Lamn's son. This year they are playing each school back to back days home and home so my predictions are: Marshall co Giles Go Loretto Spring Hill Page Lewis Co.

MR EVERYTHING there is no way u could be from LORETTO with comments like that. Coach LAMN took kids that would not even start at most schools in the district and one great arm and was a couple of hits from being at spring fling. Loretto will be down alittle this year on def. hitting will be a little weak but they do have a couple of good arms that will keep them in most games. And also nobody has a nicer place to play ball in the district than the mighty mustangs!!!

No discipline was coach Jacobs biggest problem. I saw most games this year had the talent to win 4-5 this past year. Next year schedule not overpowering. If we get stronger and have a little community support we will be headed in the right direction

Football man the program is headed in the right direction since jacobs has been let go! no community support! Now that he is gone football is in the process of raising money to improve things.(Jacobs didnt care) with the right hire 8 wins is not out of the question next year.

loretto has 2 seniors both out rest of the year!!! how do u expect to compete in 9AA with sophs and jrs. Mustangs year will be next year if they can figure out how to win!! Mustangs have a great head coach if they will listen( some of the kids have select hearing).

The reason for no news out of Loretto is that the school does not have a teaching position open. Mr. Danials does not know if there will be a position open for next year at this time. There has been several coaches contacting the school about a position. No big names at htis point because we might not be able to hire a coach for the 07 season. We did have a big name coach out of alabama with 7 state championship rings to contact the school and was interested though. Loretto football is on the upward path. watch out Lewis County here we come.

Good luck with the process! I started the last thread and checked back a couple days later and wondered where the thread went to. I have heard a couple of interesting names that have showed some interest.
