4 Middle-Tn kids in the MAJORS now. Weathers from Loretto, Uggla From Columbia, Turnbow from Franklin and I cant think of the name of the kid from Savannah right now. Baseball in Middle TN is as good as any where in the country.

The way things are set up now I would say it will be a all private school finals in A and AA. Public schools just dont have the resources and talent pool that the private schools have. I saw Goodpasture pay in the regional tournament the past 5 years and this was probably the weakest team they have had with their ACE going down to injury but they still walked through the AA tourney. Privite schools should have to play AAA if they are going to play in the public pool!!!!!!!!!

AAA umpire crew for finals 1 former Major League ump 4 college umps and a high school ump. Sounds like a pretty strong crew fro the finals.

I dont believe the camp is mandtory. I worked the state tuurnament in Memphis in 2004 and have never been to a TSSAA camp. When I worked the State tournament most all were good umps but we did have a couple of the buddies that were not very good and they worked the lower classifications. It makes a difference that when you get to the state tournament all games use a 3 man system and some of the umpires have only worked the 2 man all their umpiring career so it is a big change in the rotations. TSSAA has a great group of umpires from retired major leaguers, Major DI umpires, small time DI umpires, Juco umpires, to just very good High School Umpires.

HEY USJ fans congrads on the kid going to UT the juco college on the hill. Something I would be very proud of. UT cant even get in the top 25 a very average baseball club the past few years. Now Marshall Co. should be excited when coach Corbin of the #1 ranked VANDERBILT. Has been checking on one of the golden arms for the TIGERS. Good luck TIGERS make Disttrict 10 AA proud. Show them how a bunch of country boys know how to play Baseball.

great single A baseball with 2 good teams! when one team made a error the other team took advantage of it. Summertown played decent but I think it hurt them having all the students there just wanting to get out of class and not even paying attention to the game. Seems that Cascade was more ready for the game than summertown also. I would pay to watch that game again.

TIGERMAN I would like to see u get out there and umpire that game if you think the umpire was a joke. Umpires sure do get bashed on here way too often!!!!! I would like to see shome of these bashers try to do just one competive game with a stand full of fans. 2 coaches hollering at you 200 fans hollering at you while you are trying to call balls and strikes. ball 8 inches off the plate and the catcher tries to frame it to make it look like a strike. Tigerman I have a mask if you want to borrow it.
