  1. I will go out on a short limb and pick Farragut this time in a run rule.
  2. He's pretty cool, I just hope his average doesn't go down, he tends to get alot of back spasms. I mean batting average spasms. But those spasms only occur at those low batting average and pitching times. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  3. Who knows, it could be he threw a sombrero at his coach or a tortilla, haven't heard for sure. He gets his mexican heritage from the Green Acres Flea Market. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. The altercation- was that with his coach or the opposing team? I heard last year that during warm ups in the infield he was throwing trying to hit the Seymour coach. Imagine that?
  5. While we scratching our heads on this, I have heard of one prominent Knoxville High School team that is going to have fall scrimmages off campus. They are going to split up in two teams and do this off of school property. Legal or illegal?
  6. Anderson County not only got a fine individual but a good coach. Coach Browning is a knowledgeable, ethical and hard working teacher as well as a coach. Good Luck Coach Browning!
  7. Any news on hiring of new coach at William Blount High School?
  8. If he had three juniors that were drafted in the top 40 spots, sounds like they had talent. Wonder why they cannot make the NCAA tournmanet the last two years? I believe that Mike Hamilton wants a successful team that is in the running for the SEC championship every year. I know it is not possible to win the SEC for anyone every year, but be more competitive than TN has been. This will attract hometown talent as well as talent from all over the country. For Example, look how TN basketball recruiting has changed. Players that are being recruited by Duke, NC, are also considering TN. No knock on Coach D., just the facts. A famous quality management person once said, "Change is the only constant."
  9. The end result is they didn't attend TN for various reasons. His job as a coach and recruiter is to get them to come there to further their education and play baseball. I do not know every reason, but I am very aware of a few of them. I believe each Division I school is alloted the same number of scholarships, so everyone has that to work from. This is not meant to criticize, just posting some facts on a message board.
  10. Look at the local players Delmonico missed out on in just the past several years - Rob Catapano- North Carolina- Farragut - Tyler Cannon- Virginia- Pigeon Forge - Harrison Eldridge- East Carolina- Farragut - Chad Bell- Memphis- South Doyle - Chris Kirkland- now with Memphis- South Doyle - Ryan Holland- Memphis- South Doyle - Cody Hawn- Arkansas- South Doyle - Matt Spencer- Arizona State- Morristown East - Brett Basham- Ole Miss- Bearden - Michael McKenry- MTSU- Farragut - Cale Iorg- Alabama- Karns
  11. Memphis U.'s baseball team is under same guidelines as UT's, somehow they attracted those players.
  12. Can a upcoming sophomore qualify for the TBCA Worth Showcase team?
  13. Any ideas as to who will be the new head coach at William Blount High School in Maryville, TN? Throw out your ideas.
  14. What teams have the best chance of going to the state tournament next year? What players do they have returning? Let's see what everyone thinks. Post teams for all divisions.
