Thanks for the update Indian. I would think that the Tigers would be pretty good considering they only lost one starter and have one of the best young post players in the valley. I think South Pitt with some work could be the only team that can challenge Marion for the district next year but I do not know a whole lot about Van Buren.

I know that the boys camp at Sequatchie is usually good. How are the teams that are participating looking so far?

I noticed that Rachel Lockhart was not in the box score...I know she was hurt in the CCS game...is she going to be alright...I wish her a speedy recovery and hopefully it is nothing serious

I agree...recruiters and coaches know to look at more than just scoring...they recognize a good player when they see one...I still don't agree with running up the score...you can try to justify it any way you like but it is still poor sportsmanship. My coach never told us to stop playing but would make us run our offense to perfection and full speed for at least 7 or 8 passes before a shot was allowed to be taken...there are ways that coaches can keep their players playing hard and keep the score down. The other team had no idea that we were using clock...and it forced us to work on our "stuff" Lay-up drills against a weak team don't make the players or the team any better. In a game against this weak of players, starters don't get any better. I agree that it is good to allow your younger players as much time as possible...averages shouldn't matter...

Richard Hardy is not good...Last year Arts beat them 95 - 3...as you can see Arts is full of class...I never know what they are trying to prove...At least the Texas team that won this week 100 - 0 feels bad about the game and is seeking a forfeit loss (not that I think Arts should do the same)...And yes Arts fans I know you could have beaten them worse, so could just about everyone else that plays them, so I don't want to hear those excuses that it could have been worse...

It is just funny to me that the same school that turned in Temple in for violations just happens to bring in new talent...and yes I know she was granted a "hardship", it is very suspicious...as the saying goes sometimes "it is who you know..."

I know what CSAS does to get better and that is to bring in more talent...

Bledsoe 58 Whitwell 32...Whitwell looked lethargic, not to take away from Bledsoe...Bledsoe played well and hard. It seemed as if the grundy game took its toll on the lady tigers...didn't help not having two starters out. Bledsoe should do really well this year, they play hard and seem to be well coached.

How could I not be a fan??? Sequatchie is UNBELIEVEABLE, I think they are the greatest team I have EVER seen. As a matter of fact they will probably win the next 5 state titles...they will probably make a reality tv show about them on MTV and how tough the program is...I can't wait til' state!!!!!

it's funny how these sequatchie county fans want to get on here and talk trash now that they think they are football "giants"...they weren't talkin' so much last year. A little recognition in the paper and they think they rank up there with the vols. I see they have another "tough" district opponent scheduled this week in Bledsoe county. I think Sequatchie is unstoppable...probably go undefeated and win state...

Dyer played last year...and was probably their best guard, she was just always overshadowed by Danielle Rector and Amanda Jordan. Temple doesn't have a great supporting cast around Dyer...she is forced to score their points and carry their team offensively.

Sale Creek should be improved but CSAS has too many athletes.

Whitwell will surprise many teams in the district this year, they will be very tough.

Yes, Shea is got to be mentioned as one of the better players in single A.

CSAS should be very good again this year...very athletic and quick. They didn't lose much if anyone from last years team. CSAS beat East Ridge handily. Should be a very entertaining year in the district.

I have to work tonight so I can't make it. Whitwell was my only choice for a while. I just thought it may be a good game since I guess the schools are so close. What size school is Whitwell? Is their basketball team not good? Is the school hard to find?

I am new to Dunlap but a basketball fan and caught the girls game with Notre Dame (saw it on the school sign). They seem pretty tough. I believe their next game that I will try to make is against Whitwell (isn't that just down the road??). Should that game be a good one?

Is Seq. Valley Fan John Walker? Because if it is, he is hot! I remember watching him play...it was a pleasure. If Whitwell could get something out of big #50 in the post, they would blow RH out of the water. He is too soft and always shoots fade away shots. Why wouldn't someone with his size use his body more??
