  1. sorry just figured out you sent a message...I am working as usual and reading all they're saying about us.

  2. Jacob Tuckers Mom does keep some stats but they are neither offical or accurate or used for official recording. She usually only keeps them first half and it is just for the coaches at half to give them a general idea of the number of pas v run plays they have run and the success of either or both.
  3. There is something I want to mention about the Tucker kid, even after being dealt a game ending injury and the Vikings defeat I was on the field after the game and I notice that he had a couple of our players chating with them away from every one else, that moment will stick with me as I brought it to attention to one of my buddies, and they talked maybe a minute or two, The point is that a young man at this age was dealt adversity and he overcame it with humongous character, That really sticks out at me with one of the high points of the game ! I would like to say this young man one day will be very special, because he is already a leader and being humble doing it ! I will be keeping an eye on this young man in the future. Good luck to the Vikings and Jacob Tucker ! Lots of adults could learn something from you ! I wanted to update everyone and let them know that Jacob's injury last Friday was a torn ulner collateral ligament in his thumb. He had surgery today to reattach the ligament and came through it fine. He is expected to make a full recovery. I want to thank everyone for their kind words throughout the season regarding Jacob. I am very proud of him and God has blessed him with talent and a love of sports. He was also fortunate enough to play with a talented group of guys at Perry County and good coaches. We can't wait till next year! Go Vikings!
  4. Wonderful poem! And because you know the heart your son puts into the game you feel all the emotions with him rather he's happy dissapointed hurt or elated, as a parent you feel them all. My son is only a sophmore and has played since he was 7, but he is already such a young man. But the one emotion I always feel regardless of the outcome of the game or efforts on the field, is pride. Pride in the boy he has been and the man/leader he has become on the field.
  5. Any thoughts on how this game might turn out?
  6. Congratulations to the Lady Vikings on an awesome team win last night! Great job coaching on the bench Kaz! Get well soon! Looks like they are going to take care of business till you get back!
  7. After reading and laughing at all the posts I just wanted to share something my jr. high basketball coach at Cascade told us many years ago. "The referees are human and will make mistakes, but if you are a good enough team you will overcome the bad calls, the over zealous opponents crowd and the other team." I have three kids that play sports and have always tried to teach them to do their best and repect the officials and have tried to set that example, although I do get caught up in the game at times I appreciate and respect the officials and know I would not want their job for any amount of money!
