You are right 14pioneers. They had a game that turned heads at least mine tonight when they lost at home against Cumberland County in the play in game to the district tournament. What in the world happened? Cumberland County had not won a single game in the district all season long. I was looking past this game and to the tournament. Oh well, there is always next year. I know what you are saying "Whitey", but Cumberland County also upset Coffee County too !! However, the loss to Cumberland County has really given all Lady Pioneer fans a bad taste in our mouths. To be honest, I really felt, this team underachieved all-year, but I think this new coach deserves the benifit of the doubt, but this team had more talent to achieve only 4 wins for the year.

I truly enjoyed the talent level the "Borro" brung in every year, even though we were not as competitve most of the time, but we DID win 7aaa during the Luna years and was a very competitive team during coach Kiel's tenure. Good Luck to Oakland in the post-season and shouts -out to 2p and every other Patriot fan in 7aaa !! Hope someone brings the Gold Ball back to the Boro !! I am just reading from ESPN 2011 prospect database and Scout.com, but I hope your right "goutvols101", I would love to see another Pioneer wear the Orange, I don't think we have had one since Danny Martin !!

I really don't know who started the old thread or the new thread concerning Cody Robinson, but time will tell if Cody will be a D-1 prospect or not, I cannot find him being on anyone's watch-list as of today,but that doesn't mean he won't be at season's end of 2011. Let's just let Cody enjoy his Senior year and find-out what happens then, all this talk is pretty much useless until then.

Big win last night at White County !!! I can't remember the last time we won at White County !! Great job guys !! Keep working !!

Finally !!! Finally!!! The powers to be got one right !!! I have always said Warren County is a gold mine ready for the right coach to come along . I truly believe this new coach we have, gives us the best chance to be successful, and bring back the glory years from times past. I am excited, lets get behind this coach and hopefully more young men will want to be a part of the Pioneer program, and stat something special next year. I can't wait !!! Go Pioneers !!

At what site will the district tournment be held at this year for the new district 6aaa ??

The officiating in 8aaa has been subpar to what we were used to in 7aaa for many years. I really don't know how this new district will play out (officiating wise), but I thought the 7aaa refs we used to have over the years, were far more professional and consistant than their 8aaa counterparts. I didn't attend the game, but I do know what you are saying "whattimeisit"

That's usally how it plays out "Nitro", The new regime comes in and has a 5 year trek to show improvement, sadly, sometimes , Upper classmen are sacrificed for the betterment of future players., but, I will say this to all concerned, be a team player and a team parent, bite your lip and go on. It will be worth it in the end. Good luck to all the Pioneer Nation.

Chaisson Allen (former Oakland standout) is on SportsSouth right now against VCU, who has a tremendous big man playing, Allen has already gotten 5 points early in the game.

I am interested to see how We play against Cannon County tommorrow night. We lost by 20 at our place earlier in the year. Can we pull this game out at their place ?? Hope so, we'll see, I hope it is a close game win or lose, that would show improvement.

What type of squad are the Fresh. Pioneers ? Do they have any size or speed ? Are there any Wietzel's out there that are 6'7 to 6'9 ???

Not a bad showing at Franklin County, even though we came out a little on the short end of the stick. I am sure ya'll are loving your new district,but I really miss the "Boro" teams coming to McMinnville, although we do host Blackman Fri. night. Wow !!! I hate to rag on our new Coach so early, but it is one thing to play hard and another thing to play smart, maybe I am just not used to this style of play, but we cannot go out and MUG the other team night in and night out and expect to win Basketball games. Every team we have played is in the bonus midway through the 1st quarter it seems, and it looks like chaos to me right now. Hopefully these are growing pains learning a new system. I hope so, good luck Pioneers and Coaches in your up-comming games.

Where is "SpaceRaider " ??? , and what happen at the Standard ?? I have never been given an answer to this question?? Did I miss an edition explaining his absence? I enjoyed the "SpaceRaider" and wish him the best of luck !! Wherever he is ??????

It still amazes me that the girls side of Coach T , concerning Warren County, gets much more support than the boys side. Maybe, because of long past success or maybe because there is a perception, that it is easier to win on the girls side of the ledger ?? I hope everyone gets behind this coach and players during this bad portion of the season, hopefully we will be playing better basketball by season's end.

I would have to think that Cookeville will win this district, I think the rest of the teams are pretty close. The "SWAMI" is confused right now about our new district , I am going to miss the talent the Murfreesboro teams brought in to our place over the years. I think everyone in 6aaa will be watching mediocre talent on most nights in what is probably considered the weakest district in the Midstate, if not the state.

I thought the ladies played hard, but was just overmatched , by a very good jackson County squad. If I was a starter on this team, I would pick-up my game, this lady pioneer team has a pretty good bench. Not much of a drop off, that I could see. keep working hard !!!

I thought the game was gonna go on forever !!!! Soooo many fouls and sooooo many fouls that were not called, but a good win. I thought the top 40 atheletes of-all time in Pioneer history, was a nice touch, however, I was amazed of some who were left off . Did anyone else, see something, quite disturbing about the top 40 ???
