  1. White Co. 64 Blackman 84 David Barnes with 37 pts (21 in 1st qtr)
  2. Who? Blackman manhandled him in the post and our tallest player is 6'6...
  3. True, but like I said it's never too early. I just wanted to get everyone's opinions...
  4. Carter is the better shooter, not scorer. My bad...
  5. Preview of district championship? Never too early...
  6. They won't. Allen goes for 20+ and Kit does whatever he wants inside. Oakland by a lot...
  7. Nobody has Blackman, but everybody has Riverdale? Blackman beat Riverdale and battled with Oakland for most of the game. Riverdale sits at 4-2 in District 7-AAA while Blackman sits at 5-1...their only loss coming to Oakland.
  8. Bottom Line: Cutter is the better scorer on a mediocre team while Carter is the better scorer on the better team. Fair?
  9. No winner between White Co or Riverdale? I agree...definitely going to be a great game. If it were in Sparta, I would give the edge to White Co, but since it's in the 'Boro, I'm not too sure. Riverdale doesn't have a great homecourt advantage, but we'll see how it plays out. I'll take White Co by 3. Hang me if you want...
  10. Do we not follow basketball in Murfreesboro?
  11. I'm going to have to disagree with you. A team could score 70 points a game, but if they don't stop anybody, then they're going to get beat most of the time. Defense wins championships...
  12. This should be an excellent game. In White Co. or at Riverdale?
  13. What do you expect?? He does play for Siegel... Does anybody else find it funny that "Siegel Village" has half of the people it had last year. Classy bunch of folks. Way to support your team...
  14. Can Blackman get some credit? They dominated Siegel by 20+ tonight, beat White Co. in White Co, which is not easy, beat Riverdale in a game that wasn't as close as the score said it was, and barely lost to Oakland. They have the 2nd ranked defense in the district (just over 46 ppg), despite already playing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ranked offensive teams in the district. And also the best pure shooter in the district in Alex Carter (yes...he's a better shooter than Cutter). I just don't understand how people can pick Siegel to win the district over Blackman and Riverdale. But then again, Siegel fans are pretty stuck up aren't they? Even though I go to Blackman, I think the Blaze have to play near perfect ball to beat Oakland at home. Top 4 teams in the District: 1. Oakland (Oakland 42, Cookville 41???) 2. Blackman (loss to Oakland only blip on district radar) 3. Riverdale (tough losses to Blackman and Oakland) 4. White Co. (will shock some people at home...look out) The rest are too close to call.
