  1. i will disagree that EHS is a one man show with Corn. While he is the big dog of their offense, others do play a role. Bowers is a reliable QB, Swett and Paisley seem solid at receiver. Shefield has racked up a bunch of yards the last few weeks at running back. And the offensive line seems very strong.
  2. Glad to hear it. I hate to see kids get hurt.
  3. Does any one know if the player that took the block on Bowers TD run is ok.
  4. Best game EHS has played all year. The offensive line executed well all night. QB and backs did a great job. And the defense came up with some big plays to keep Baylor out of the picture.
  5. Will McCallie or EHS webcast the game this week?
  6. Congrats to BA. They played a great game. The QB had some fantastic passes and the O Line protected him all night. Clearly the better team won, and clearly the two best teams are in the championship. Should be a great game. Also congrats to EHS on a great 1st varsity season, looking forward to many more. I would like to complement BA on a great football atmosphere FRI night. Fans were great and supportive, but there was no taunting or poor behavior when BA clearly had the game in hand.
  7. This should be MBA's game. They have a very good team. A couple of future D1 players. They seemed to be focused and ready to play every weekend. They are two games away from a state championship for a brand new coach. Father Ryan on the other hand, has that rare chance to play them again. You always hear "if we played them again, we would win". Father Ryan's team does not seam as disciplined or focused as MBA. Mistakes and penalties will kill any chances of a win. MBA wins 28 to 10
  8. Penalties and interceptions doomed EHS. Ensworth has to play almost flawless ball to beat teams like MBA/FRHS/BA. Obviously that did not happen last night. FRHS has a good team, their O&D lines are huge, should be a game next week againist MBA.
  9. Interesting how many discussions of MBA football come back to Bowers and Ensworth. MBA has a great history and a bright future in athletics. This obsession with Bowers is odd. Seems strange that MBA supporters would want to take attention away from their own program and a fairly prestigious invite to talk about another school.
  10. You would think for almost 20 grand a year we would get better creative writing from the EHS/MBA students on this board. When this game was scheduled, no one gave EHS a chance. On paper MBA should take this game without any problem. MBA does have experience, numbers and for lack of a better word more "star" players on their side. EHS has taken a couple of very talented players and used a very talented coaching staff to build a team around them. EHS seems to get everything and a little more out of its players. For EHS to win, they will have to play almost perfect defense, execute almost every play perfectly, and avoid penalties and injuries. If EHS can stay in the game untill the 4th quarter, they stand a very good chance to win.
  11. How many "scholarships" do these private schools give?
