Obviously you know very little about what is going on in the game and what the coach is about. He is a defensive minded coach first and in fact would say so. So scoring points to him is of course important but his whole philosophy is hardcore get in your face defense. Also you use the term "everyone" very loosely because I go to most of the games and do not wonder about such thing in fact I can almost predict when a player is coming out due to poor rotation on defense, fatigue, or just lack of hustle. Please refrain from putting at least me under the umbrella of"everyone" at the game because although disappointed in the recent losses I feel as though I have a general idea of the game and how it should basically be played.

Were you at the game? Obviously not because everyone got in. C'ville just plain and simple shot the ball. Period!!! They shot like 16/24 from the three point line and mostly had guys in their face. They are a good team. Caldwell requires so much attention that guys were in the lane to help with him and they moved the ball extremely well. I can guarantee you could do no better coaching this team and I don't even know you. Emerson was an ok young coach, he had a decent team but caught C'ville in semifinals on a bad night. I was there for that win and the butt whipping that Springfield put on them in the Championship. This thread does nothing but put a strain on our team. I don't mind people discussing the games but just trashing good people is nonproductive and does not help anyone. If you want to help someone go to the games and support the players even if you like or dislike the coach. Shoot some hoops with the younger players of HC. I would really bet none of you even know the coach or staff. Threads like these are only a cancer and really do not merit the time that I have put into this post but when people make asinine comments comparing Emerson to Wilkins I have to at least support the man we have here now. By the way who do you think will give us a winning record?

Correction I believe HC goes to Northwest. They switched that because they were redoing the floor early in the season

Yeah all of those days off I'm sure they'll be rusty against NW on Tues!! ALso a note I heard that the NW game has been changed to a home game for Tues the 8th.

Clarksville shot the ball very well! Henry County did not come out with the same intensity defensively that we've seen in past games. Clarksville if shooting as well as they did last night will be a tough team to beat. If you play to help on Caldwell they kick it out to spot up shooter who can knock it down. If you play the shooters then Caldwell has free rein. I still feel like HC is in CLarksville's neighborhood as far as being a good team and the rematch will be much anticipated!! Also looking forward to NE and Dickson Co.

Costanza, thanks for the info. Although you are a bitter rival I'd like to say that in my opinnion Rossview has one of the nicest facilities(if not the best) facilities in 10AAA. Your gym is beautiful and I enjoy watching games there. So I hope that Regions will be played there. How does HC match up with Dickson Co. or NE?

Well said JYD!!! I hate losing any player, but whether a player plays or does not should not be an indicator of the coach. I watched Kenwoods coach get beat and not once yell at his players and even use a timeout while his team was being dismantled in the first quarter with a HC 15-0 run. So is it better for your players to like you and lose or a coach that gets in your face and challenges you to push harder at all times then you feel comfortable with and like but win? If all we're concerned with is whether the players like the coach then we are looking at the wrong things. As long as the coach does not cuss, or degrade his players as people, then we need to sit back and shutup. I for one was in the military and my Drill Instructor stayed on me all the team just like a coach and I respected him. I want my son to play for a coach like Coach Wilkins. He holds his players accountable for their actions on the floor and expects perfection. Thats what is needed to be successful in life. Determination,attention to detail,and focus on a goal. So although I hate that we've lost two outstanding athletes by no means can we say A + B = C. Coach has done a great job. NE and DC should be the game of the night as far as two good teams! Not seen either yet. NE over DC but less than 10 HC over Rossview by 12 or more Clarksville destroys NW at least 20 I've seen both Springfield and KW and I'm giving the edge to Springfield. They got an athletic starting five. Just no bench to maintain that athleticism. If they can stay out of foul trouble they (Springfield) could be tough) Not to look past Rossview but am looking forward to Friday night when C'ville steps into the friendly confines of Gamlin Gymnasium.
