  1. Does anyone have results from the match?
  2. I'm curious. After looking over the bracket, is there a 1A or a 2A team with a winning record, who didn't make the playoffs? If there is, then that is a criminal-like flaw in the system.
  3. So proud of my alma mater. The first undefeated season in school history, and never even trailed at any point in the season. Good luck in the playoffs.
  4. Will Tyler Rice be 100% for the game? If he were to have to sit out, would it matter?
  5. I don't know about the reception of the radio station in Collinwood, but during football season, I was able to pick it up quite clearly over the station's website. I would love to be there but the distance from my home, and the fact that I must be at my job all day on Monday, make radio, television, or the internet my only options. I was just being selfish in wanting to listen to the game. But then again, supporting family is sometimes a selfish endeavor. So personally, I don't care who would sponsor it. As far as the "fartherist" the team has been, I thought the Jace Bryant-led team went to at least the sub-state, if not to the state tournament, but I'm not certain.
  6. The expenses for a broadcast are relatively limited. You should find some sponsors in Collinwood and approach the radio station with a proposal to broadcast the game. I'm sure they would sell you the time. I agree with you that they should do the games of their own accord, and a professionally done proposal might show them that it would be worth their time.
  7. So Collinwood won the game by 1 point in OT after hitting a 70-footer at the end of the half? The late night phone call I got last night left that detail out. Anyone have the ability to put the buzzer-beater on YouTube?
  8. I'm certainly no Ronnie Carter groupie, and I can't speak of The Clinic Bowl situation. But I would like to address your last lines. And I certainly mean nothing personal by it. First off, I have no idea how old the man is. The TSSAA is a private, non-profit organization, not a state agency. It establishes guidelines, rules, and regulations for its members. Membership in the TSSAA is strictly voluntary. No school is required to be a member, and member schools are certainly free to compete against non-member schools. Any one of us who believes he/she can do a better job of organizing high school sports in Tennessee is perfectly capable of establishing a competing organization. Just write a few dozen rule books, and make presentations to nearly 400 high schools around the state. The TSSAA is far from perfect, and there is more than enough room for improvement. But when compared to other states' organizations, it is a standard bearer. And can you imagine what it would be like if it were a government-run agency?
  9. Do you have any idea who would be 3rd right now? I'll be quite impressed if you're able to calculate that.
