DITTO Good job to all the girls and good luck to Kacey and Haley as they take the step to the next phase of their lives. You girls have nothing to hang your heads about i know there we some dispointed faces Friday night but be proud of what you accomplished this year, you girls went farther than anyone ever thought you would i guess we showed them. Congrats to Coach Roach, Coach D and Coach Wells and a job well done. Can't wait to see what next year brings. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

Well truth is physical never hurt no one ( well hopefully not) just makes you play at the top of your game. God only knows we've got a few that are physical also as long as the refs shakes out even it should be good competition. Never say never stranger things have happened. They sure played a good game last night the only thing i saw was they needed to rebound more but with the way the refs were calling 10 fouls RHS to 2 fouls P.F @ half well it was a good thing we didn't or the whole team would of been fouled out. Glad to see acuff crashing the boards with 21 points and 4-3 pointers and roach with 12 points and 2-3 pointers and great job to crews and brabson for their defense to allow the shots. waldrop, edde, johnson and straton chipped in on defense. Overall good job girls and don't let anyone tell you that can't make it to state because with determination and hard work you can. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!

Does anyone know what year was it when the last Rutledge girls team had a shot or went to regionals and or state? Good Luck Girls in districts. Play hard team ball and show them what good ole girls are made of. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!

Rutledge has several who can pull down 3's roach---senior---point guard johnson---senior---point.small guard stratton---junior---point/small guard acuff---freshmen---center usually most don't expect points or centers to be able to drain 3's. Keep up the good work blue and good luck in the districts. Hopefully we see ya in the regions.

Congrats to Coach Roach on his 700th career win.....GOOD JOB!!!!! Does anyone know the outcome of the boys and girls games for Rutledge vs West Greene? How did each team play?

well I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers on this one and no i don't have the experience Coach Roach has but as i said sometimes one wonders why a coach does what he does. The fourth qtr plan did work and maybe it should be used more when the first 5 can't get it done and the fresh hands and feet of the second 5 can. I am a true Pioneer fan i just don't look through rose colored glasses always. I just want to see both teams play to their potential that should be one thing we agree on, both are loaded with talent. I do APOLOGIZE to the teams and coaches if i offended you and hope we go all the way. By the way you do a good job of agitating. Go big blue!!!!!

RHS02 Don't mean to be so negative but i just get aggrevated when there is so much potential on both teams. For the record i am a coach maybe that's the problem when you can see other coaches faults and not your own. Bet you know nothing about that huh!

Gc Grizzlies so what was your take on the RHS vs PFHS last night. Personally i think Rutledge was ridiculous to only have 10 pints going into half sad...sad. The girls and boys have forgotten what team ball is about. Not sure why these two teams are falling apart but i sure hope they get it together both teams have a shot in regions and districts if they'd come together. If little roach and waldrop hadn't stepped up in the 2nd half we'd came home with a loss. Their defense and baskets made the difference and Acuff's 3 was nice accompanied with Edde hitting her foul shots and brabson baskets but bottom line the 2nd string pulled it out for them. One thing about last night game they stunk as a team. On another note Friday night being Senior night i sure hope the coaches ( boys and girls) let the seniors have their night like Johnson and Starbird.

well they have updated coacht Stats but according to the total points of the games and the total points of the girls it's still off over 300 and the boys don't have individual totals so who knows if they're correct. We need to take Math 101 again. No wonder colleges don't look at Rutledge when it appears we can't even do Math correctly. Well let me restat that comment maybe Wally High will recruit our boys and girls!!!!!!!

Anybody got any takes on the G.P game? Didn't get to see it and was wondering how the teams faired.

GC Grizzlies i agree hats off to Union county. Roach was definetly on Friday night and brabson and crews did have some good shots but my concern is the lady pioneers were not playing like a team at all...not sure what's going on behind the scene but Coach R needs to find out and fix the problem or these girls want even have a shot at districts or regions which ever they call it now. I heard the student section talking about a bet made between a pioneer and lady pioneer about scoring the most points. They need to worry about winning the game instead of betting on who can dump in the most points if you're playing like a team the points will come....i saw brabson take shots and miss them when cruze and stratton and acuff anf waldrop was open....come on girls stop the foolish and lock down and play team ball and lets bring home a title for RHS....you can do it.
