  1. The turnover bug hit us hard 6 fumbles. When we drove the ball against them, just to fumble. It was like a snowball effect. The Hudson kid was all that he was adverised to be, he broke tackles, he reversed the field and man was he fast.

Just another hard effort with bad results, huh?

  2. NAW MAN I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE!! THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! POLK CO FANS WERE OUT OF THE STANDS THOUGHT THE GAME WAS OVER!! IT WAS GREAT!!!

IT WAS A SHAME SOMEBODY HAD TO LOSE THIS ONE, BUT THE BETTER TEAM WON!!!

COME ON POLK CO FANS!!! COME AND EAT YOUR CROWE!!! LETS HERE IT 6+4+3=2!!! YOU ARE BUY A LOT OF PEOPLE STONEY DOGS!!!! BEST GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! what was the score of the howard and seq game?

Unfortunately,Captain Obvious was right on it, 42-7. I knew you would be fired up. I would have liked to have seen the game. Again, congratulations! Go get 'em next week!

  3. Okay guys, give me the gory details. I didn't get to go to the game, but I heard the turnover bug bit us hard again. Were we just simply outclassed in this one, were we flat, enlighten me when you feel like posting about it. Hang in there boys, you will get there. These things take time and hard work. GO CHIEFS!

  4. Just saw the final on the scoreboard. WOW,THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A GREAT GAME! Congrats to the Chargers! Hey,Smokey, you didn't have heart failure or anything did you? It really must have been something to see. When I first checked the score, PC was up by 8. Great comeback! Congrats to the great effort for both teams and to the fans who got to see it. Good luck against Howard next Friday and in the playoffs, hope you represent the region well!

  5. OK. Just sounded to me like the kids are being punished for a transfer. Seems like if the state is going to allow two different types of systems to be ran the kids should be able to transfer without having to do extra work. It's not their fault.

What year of school was he in and how much extra did he have to do?

He was a junior at the time of transfer. He had to take a Spanish class and an Algebra class in the summer to catch up. Nothing major, but inconvenient all the same. I agree, seems like the kids pay the price.

  6. Can anyone else hear the drums beating............our young braves putting on the warpaint..............hitting the warpath to Chattanooga..............and then gametime!! Ply hard play proud. GO CHIEFS!!

I hear 'em! Good luck to the Chiefs! Safe trip for everybody! GO CHIEFS!

  7. Where can I get info on how a students credits will transfer from one school to another? I am trying to transfer a student and have been told that since they operate on different systems, block vs conventional, that the student would lose credits and have to do credit recovery. Does this sound right?

Any help would be great. I haven't found anything yet.

I apologize for putting it here but I didn't know where else to put it to get answers. Move it or delete if need be.

Losing credits and recovery sounds right. I went through the same thing a couple years ago,and he had to take summer school for a couple classes he was short on. It wasn't a real hard task, just minor difficulty for what he was facing at his old school. Hope that helps a little.

  8. Well heres some news for you, they are that much better AND its at Howard AND its senior night AND the Chiefs are gonna get blown out. I hope you realize you just said "they only beat us by 21 and 24". I mean.....if you think thats a close game.....its whatever you think man.

Come on,dude,Irealize what I said. The way I meant it was to compare to the 35 you say Howard will beat us by. No,I don't think that is close, but the games were closer than you think or the final score sounds. Just never mind. I just still don't believe it will be 35,but....it's whatever you think, man. GO CHIEFS!

  9. Sequoyah is too young for an explosive team like Howard and it'll show if they give up a big play. Lets be honest Howard is fast enough on the outside to score at will against any team in the region. Hudson is too athletic to tackle. Oh and theyve got three lineman that look like men amongst boys and they're defense FLIES to the ball. Hustlin Tigers by AT LEAST 21 but im stickin with 35.

WOW,I didn't realize Howard was that much better than Polk County and Mcminn Central. We just lost by 21 and 24 to those two teams. I guess that makes Howard the region winner hands down. Captain, just how many points did they score at will against Polk County? I still believe the final score will be a surprise to you and many more. GO CHIEFS!

  10. I am sorry I thought this was a public forum where one could express his own opinions and thoughts, but I must be mistaken because I always catch a lot of slack when I express myself. I have actually held back on somethings that I have noticed, because I do not want other coaches to use the weaknesses that I see against us.

I think we all see things that can be improved upon or maybe things we would do differently. Knowing Coach Summey the way I do,I figure he sees the same things and more. Remember, this is his first year,he has had to learn the players as much as they have had to learn him. Are we always going to agree... no. Out of ten people, there will always be someone who has a different view. Are there weaknesses, you bet. Do the coaches know about them...probably a lot better than you or I ever will. What we see on Friday nights is a product of the effort in practice, and you know it's not always the best. I believe you have coached in LL,so you know it is almost impossible to get the kids' best all the time. I also believe our coaches are working these kids hard, and the weaknesses are improving. To me,what this team needs most is dedication in the weight room. They need to be stronger to play the likes of G-P and Polk County. I also think for the most part, you have been positive since the season started,so post on and we will like it or not. You are correct, this is a public forum with personal opinions, and as I said, we won't always agree,so what? I thinl you,as well as me,as well as the rest, want to see the Chiefs do well. I don't know about you,but I am looking forward to every game they play now,and I haven't always been able to say that.GO CHIEFS!

  11. How many Sequoyah fans are there? My goodness, 85 pages? For a team that's not even any good? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Just wait till they really get good! 85 pages and this is the second time around. Speaking for myself,I enjoy this and I believe the others do too. A lot of us only get to converse this way due to our work schedules. Our team is tremendously improved from last year, they have a clue about what to do during the game, and their work ethic is improving daily. I'm really excited about next year and the years to come. Heck,I'm still excited to see what happens these last 2 games. I have really enjoyed this year. No,we haven't won like we want to,but the light is at the end of the tunnel. Still many things to work and improve upon, but dang it is fun to watch them grow and evolve as a team. The future is bright, maybe some day we can see you guys on the playoff trail. Till then,GO CHIEFS!

  12. Well we are heading in to the last 2 games of the season. I for one would like to say that i have really enjoyed watching this team improve thru out this year. Good job coaches, I don't think alot of folks realize were this team was when you guys got them. You have brought this team along way. I talked to a friend of mine from polk friday night who is very close to thier program and he commited on how he thought we were 100% no 200% better than we were last year. And that he thought that we would be one of the teams to reckon with in the region next year. Said that he was really liked the offense we are running. I agree and am really looking forward to the future of this program. as for the next 2 games keep working hard boys we are closer than you think. You are right there we just need to keep improving every day. GO CHIEFS.

Ditto,Warchief! It has been fun to watch this team improve. I,too, say hang in there coaches. Keep up the good work,it will pay off in the not so distant future! Good bunch of youngsters to go with the experience there, all working hard, and it shows.GO CHIEFS!

  13. Well you guys say what you want i did my hittin and playin for the past two years at the high school level....and now i am done...i have done my fair share of trash talking across here because i knew Sequoyah's team couldnt hack it against us this year...but they did have many positives and i look forward to seeing what they can do next year...to anybody i offended i apologize but im a person who speaks my mind and will continue you to say what i want and to anybody that thinks i couldnt hack it go right ahead i know i could have if i wanted to and thats all that matters...sometimes people forget that its just a game...and some people love it forever....some people hate it...and some people love it for a long time and get to the point where it eventually feels like a job...i am one of those people...and i honestly do not miss thos 3 hour practices and the coaches get in my face...and lastly hats off to all the players out there that love to play football and are still sticking with it i used to and now im done.

Young man, there is a great amount of difference in speaking one's mind and just flat-out degrading an opponent. I don't think anyone on these threads would mind you stating your opinion. A lot do that. When the offence comes is when you trash an opponent. A little respect goes a long way. Have you ever heard "Don't kick a man when he is down"? Everyone on this thread knows,Sequoyah has a ways to go to compete with your team and the other top tier teams in the region, but they are getting there. It is okay to let out frustrations at times, but not at your opponents' expense on a chat board. If you have that much pent-up,perhaps you should have stuck it out on the field.

  14. The young lads from McMinn Central will make the Polksters bow down in this one. This will be a really good game for several quarters, but as the game goes on, the Polksters will wear down. It is close for awhile, but in the end only one thing will happen. The Polksters will bow down to one of their bitter rivals.

Polk County will not get tired and wear down. Central may win,but it won't be the easy way.

  15. Sequoyah played very hard and have things going in the right direction.Coach Summey and the assistant coaches are a class act. We at Polk appologize for these posters who have quit our program and like to talk trash. They sure didn't

do much talking or hitting when they were on the practice field! Good luck and keep working hard. The true WILDCATS respect what you are doing.

Many thanks. Polk is a program we respect and look at as a level we want to achieve. Consistently good year in and year out. We know the standard each year includes Polk as a team to beat and that's what we are striving for. Good luck to the Wildcats and the Chargers next week, should be a great game.

  16. Polk:35

    Sequoyah:14

well boys i callled it darn near right and if they hadnt scored with 19 seconds left to go i would have i should have taken into account that coach would have put in the second string oh well...chiefs lost....played a good game though until the fourth...to bad yall couldnt extend that win streak to 3 hahahah

Almost makes you want to pull for Central.

  17. If MC can keep the ball in their hands they'll be makin some big plays. I say both teams will score quick then come the 4th quarter Polk will get tired and MC will head back up 411 with the victory.

    MC 24

    Polk Co 14

They won't get tired. You will have to play to win,and play hard. This one will come down to which one wants it the most in the 4th quarter.

  18. Polk won but not in impressive fashion. I'm not sure if they played down to the Chief's level or just aren't that great. I guess we'll wait and find out next week when they host the mighty Chargers.

PLAYED DOWN?! I'm about sick of seeing that. The fact is,just like I said after the Central game, the score did not indicate the true game, just like tonight. Granted,we are not at these 2 teams level yet, but much improvement has been made as the season has gone along. This game tonight was a war for the better part of 3 quarters, proof being you can't make a load of mistakes against a solid,well-coached football team, which is what Polk County is. Don't take them lightly, they can make you pay. I have seen this Polk County group frustrate this particular group of athletes Central has before,in a championship game no less. I know,I know, you guys are all great and everything now,but don't be surprised if you look up in the 4th quarter next week in a really tight game. We are much better than when we played you,and the scores compare because both teams were able to take advantage of our mistakes, which good teams will do. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season, pulling for you both in the playoffs, and we are hoping to join the fun next year. The fact is, I am proud of the effort tonight against a superior football team. GO CHIEFS!

  19. i know that wouldn't be sensible....play a regular season make up game the monday before a 1st round playoff game? naw....i heard that they have forfeited the rest of the season. thats a win for central this week, if thats true, but that still leaves the chargers rusty...healthy...but rusty.

On the other hand, the week off could benefit them. They will be fresh and rested. I don't care who you play every week,it takes a toll. This late in the season rust shouldn't be a problem, especially when playing a rival. It really is truly sad for Grundy County. In a perfect world, we would all just play games, but it's serious instead. I wondered how this would be handled, and they have done it right. Truly just an unfortunate situation all the way around. By the way, the invitation to come and eat supper stands.

  20. I understand the Polksters were robbed at Sweetwater, but you must move past that one. The task at hand is Sequoyah. Go get this one and then get ready for the next one. The Polksters are still a good team. I think you can go a couple of rounds in the playoffs before you have to bow down to someone. Good luck on the rest of the season. Polk County beats Sequoyah by at least 3 touchdowns.

I believe you missed the last one? Here's hoping your streak continues. Seriously, Sequoyah has improved a lot this year, and I also believe they will surprise Polk. Whether that is enough to win,we'll see Friday night. I like their chances if they don't turn the ball over, which will be tough enough considering this is the toughest defense they have faced. No turnovers and limit the penalties, Polk will be challenged. GO CHIEFS!
