  1. This weekend, IHS lost to both Livingston Academy (74-59) and Ensworth. Casey Consiglio emerged as a viable scoring threat scoring 16 in the Livingston game and around 20 in the Ensworth game. This team has a lot of potential, they just have to dig to reach it.
  2. Wow, I'm really starting to dislike you Millington fans more than Franklin fans. You guys sure do love talking smack even though you've won just as many state championships as we have. And we've only been open for 4 years. You Millington players that are posting on here and actually practice what you preach by doing your "talking" on the field.
  3. I think we can both say that as fans of Independence and Millington, we do not know much about each others teams. What I know about Indy though, is that they have a multi-dimensional attack. They can hurt you with the run, and they can hurt you with the pass. And on defense, they can stop the run, and they can stop the pass. I also know that this will be a classic game that will go down in the books as one of the best high school games in TN.
  4. Not to my knowledge. There is one website, www.ihstdclub.org , that has everything you need to really know about this Independence team.
  5. Independence beat FRA tonight 67-58. Zach Jeppesen was on fire from downtown, hitting 5 threes and finishing with 18 points. Juniors Casey Consiglio and Ryan Eilermann finished with 12 points. IHS has to cut down on the turnovers if they want to make an impact in district play.
  6. In my opinion, if Smith is still here at Indy, the Eagles wouldn't be playing nex week.
  7. Offensive coordinator Paul Chryst was the one who recruited him. He liked the offensive system and judging by the recent quarterbacks in UW history, he will succeed. I can't wait to see him playing at Camp Randall next year.
  8. I think the coaching has something to do with it too. The reason he is so high in recruiting rankings, I believe, is because college coaches see potential in him and can mold him into a playmaker. The Antioch coaches don't seem to use his talent to the fullest.
  9. I've heard Issac will play but will have surgery after football season to scope out his knee (just what I heard). And this does hurt the team becuase he is a playmaker. District opponents don't understand how big an impact he makes because he's always gotten injured before or in the beginning of district play.
  10. Agreed. I tried to find Mike after the game and tell him that. There's no doubt he has a bright college future, but he'll be known for his bball game.
  11. I can imagine every cop from the Franklin/Thompson's Station area will be there.
  12. 192 yards total on 30 carries. Pettigrew had 101 on 10 with a TD. Heckman also ran it in close and reserve Josh Bailey ran it in. It was tough to increase the rushing total because we kept getting extremely good field position and ran out of room to run.
  13. Nobody even bring up the earlier game because it is irelevant now. Both teams are extrmely hot. Every game since the Ravenwood game, there have been people picking the Eagles to lose (that's right, including the Columbia game). No doubt Franklin is a good team, but Indy is better. Too many weapons to cover will result in an Eagles win
  14. This was by far the best defensive game I have ever seen Indy play. They did a perfect job containing the QB Davis as he tried to make plays. Every single person on that starting defensive unit made a play. McAdoo was useless until the last few minutes of the fourth when he was playing our reserves. He did not make an impact on defense either. Overall, the offense had great field position set up by the defense and special teams which is why they scored so many points. I believe there might have been only one scoring drive was over 50 yards. It's always easier when you play the whole game on your side of the field. It's going to be a good game next week but there's no doubt in my mind that Indy will pull out the win.
  15. Tennessee Morinings, the Fox morning show, is coming to IHS tomorrow to feature the Indy football team for their "Championship Friday" segment at 6:45. This is going to get the players and fans extremely pumped for the whole day.
  16. Indy-48 Maplewood-64 Indy held with them in the 1st quarter but big man Robert Wade took over the game. Blake Carden led Indy with 18 points with Casey Consiglio also in double digits with 10. The whole Indy team made some very careless turnovers and just can't control the paint. The Eagles are going to live and die on the 3 this year.
  17. There's no question about that. His intensity on the field makes him a team leader that everybody loves.
  18. It's dissapointing to not see Ryan Consiglio recognized as a finalist after an amazing year.
  19. True. I retract my previous statement.
  20. Indy beat Fairview tonight 56-30 behind juniors Ryan Eilermann (16 pts) and Blake Carden (10 pts). It's not much but a stepping stone in the right direction. The Eagles play a very talented Maplewood team on Thursday at home.
  21. Everyone, including myself, thought Gallitan's dual-threat QB would do damage to the Eagles but we seemed to have corrected our problems that plagued us when attempting to stop Becker and Krow. Yes, my prediciton is 38-21 E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES. How many of you Antioch fans are coming down to the game?
  22. It's either gonna be 42-35 or another 42-7 game. It just depends on what Indy defense shows up. As of now, my prediciton is 38-21
  23. 106 yards on 17 carries and 2 tds (4 and 2 yard runs).
  24. Indy by 17. This team has really turned it around since Week 4
