I didn't post anything that should be offensive to kids??? They no all of it anyway and have very strong feelings about it. Yes I believe VERY strongly in what I have said. Going to church on Sunday has allowed me to forgive all those involved, but I will not forget it(Pete Mosier taught me that). Where did I say I was the only one right???? Yes I have strong convictions about what I believe, but I will listen to legitimate arguments. The best this county has to offer is what I too want and again my point is with certain people that will make decisions like they made it filters down through the entire system. One would be hard pressed to believe that this was an isolated incident, if so all they had to do was admit they blew it and commit to doing it better, no they only cared about "trying to defend an indefensible position". I call it a discussion that has some very strong passion on both sides. Do you honestly think the children are getting the best this county can offer????

I have made the point several times and to tell you the truth the real issue here is that if they will treat athletics like this then don't think for a minute that other decisions aren't being made the same way. That is what is so scary. It is what should scare every parent to the point that they can't sleep at night. I am not trying to be over dramatic it is just simply that bad. When a school board member tells you the superintendent "sold his soul" to get the job, everyone should be very concerned. That has been my point all along, its not just about athletics, when there is a recurring problem of making decisions based on what this one wants or keep this group quiet, scratch this ones back things will NEVER be as it should in Monroe county. Make the right decisions for the right reasons it is just that simple. Do you live in Monroe county? I think one time you said you did lived in the area at one time and kept up with things here, I might be wrong. The whining as you refer to is pretty insensitive comment as I see it. Those kids were done about as dirty as you can do a kid without being arrested, by people that are elected and appointed to always have there best interest at heart. There have been hours on hours of hard work and commitment by a group of kids to have a once in a lifetime experience in high school that will for some and most for that matter will they ever have that chance again. So you think that is whining???????? You want me to believe for one second. That if they are making decisions like they did,,,, for the reasons they did,,,, with no more information than they had, that those people can honestly be trusted to make GOOD decisions for our kids?????????? Well excuse me Mr Cooper but your are dead wrong if you think for one minute that it is JUST about football. Yes it may have been a big part of the discussion but you can rest assured it is no what is at the meat of the problem. Also if you think it is the minority on the key boards, then just look at the last election, and that was with an over abundance of candidates that split some of the vote or it would have turned out even better for the kids in Monroe County. There is already a plan in place for the next election to continue replacing those who only care about there own agendas and favors. If you were referring to me as far egos go, all I can tell you is it makes absolutely no difference what they did to me, it is not my first rodeo. It is entirely about the kids and those in charge of making decision for them. Yes I have jabbed at Ole wingT, Forrest, and chicken little too much. If you had been lied about, your kid refereed to on here in negative ways, and it all about jealousy and what there kid did not achieve, the opportunity to expose him for what he is was just to great for me. Again I apologize to everyone for that, but I do believe that those that know "all" the history and facts understand.

Great post. I think there are a lot more people that feel the same way. There have been several that you speak of that make scratch your back decisions or lets get even, with NO BASIS for fact,,,, they are never even at the games ,,,, you start by cutting the head of the snake(central office). Replacing some more board members will do wonders for the entire county. The board needs to vote now on not letting a spouse work for the schools in the same district her husband represents, That just crazy and should be one of the first things the board does to send a message that things are changing. No way DE gets to A gap, center blocking back on traps want be able to chase, No Forrest Rb runs bubble route to side of blitz. If center doesn't block safety lead Rb will. Even if that play is not executed perfectly it will still gash you, in that alignment. I don't think the high school level is where "you" will get good conversation. Yeah I agree it is childish, but this guy has had it coming for a lonnnnng time, the moderator knows that too. Geez, both guards and tackles combo the gap player to the next level four eyes on the backer and four hands on the down defender which ever way the Lb flows they rotate there combo to take him, center blocks safety, rb cleans trash QB follows and TD, that aint gonna work Forrest nobody plays wide gap defenders with stacked defenders in a forty, you will usually get a 3 tech one way and one tech the other. You can run the forty stack with both tackles playing one tech. and the backers stacked behind that, but never aligned with both tackles outside a 3 tech and the backers stacked!!!! As far as 6 in the box a good OC will take that all day long and make you pay. Your backers still can't get to the edge let alone the flats. Just how far do you think they play the safety off the LOS Forrest? Who needs to throw it?? they will kill you between the b gaps and with traps, Center uncovered he can block back in either direction. It shows just how little you do know about football at least that is what EVERYBODY has told me. EVERYONE is now aware that you know just enough to sound like you know something. The only one bringing up us not coaching anymore is you, thinking it is a jab at us. I guess I need to remind you again that we resigned becuase of all the backroom polotics and people going through the back door to get a job. Well you either use your safety and one of LB's to guard or leave safety deep and cover with the OLB's. Are you playing basketball or football(guard) Are you playing cover 1 or zone

Satterfield and nothing against him was not the most qualified this time, it is just the way it happens sometimes. You aren't always going to be the lead pony. He was surly more qualified when they hired Summey. The only anger I have is the way some on the board have gotten away with doing business (till now) and how those kind of uninformed decision cheat the kids of Monroe county. The only ones embarrassed in this deal were the medaling parents and the board member and his wife. We have moved in the right direction to a degree and will correct the rest of the problem next election and sooner on not being able to work in the district your spouse serves as a board member.

I have moved on I am having a great time doing things I haven't been able to do in years. No they did not get over it, they adapted and dealt with it but by no means did they get over it. Yeah they do deserve stability and I hope they get it. The instability will go away when they quit playing politics and hire the most qualified for the job regardless of what minority group of wanta be know it alls, important for the moment are not allowed to influence self indulging board members and the director of schools. Its really very simple make the right decisions for the right reasons, instead of trying to scratch someones back or hope to get back some favors. That in itself is sick enough but to do it and affecting the kids, the future of the community is down right criminal in my opinion. The thing is you can bet it is the normal mode of operation for certain board members and administration for many decisions in our schools and not just for sports. That in itself should scare the good people of Monroe county to death.

Maybe you need to read it again Kevin,Your statement made it sound like you were contradicting what Jeff had said earlier. You made a statement of fact of how things went with coaches input, as if you had direct knowledge of such. I am sick of people making statements like they have direct knowledge of how things work when in fact they don't. You make a statement that would require you to be present to know it to be FACT. If someone told you so then just say it that way, don't imply otherwise. By the way Jeff called me and saw the post the same way. "I never stated or anywhere, anyhow implied that I got input from the assistants." Yet you make a statement as that you know how it worked?????????? "I can say that the previous year the final decision on who played and who didn't was decided between Summey and coach Gregory". In "fact" that is exactly correct. "They did take input from ALL assistants, but they made the final decision." The input from assistant coaches was on the "position they coached" that is what needs to be clarified. How could I give input on running backs when I don't even know what they are doing during practice, I would have to ask Jake what they did that day. During team you are to pre occupied on coaching and watching your guys to pay much attention to anyone else. Jake would ask me sometimes how I liked this run or that run and I would have to tell him I didn't even see it. If you are coaching your guys right you are to focused to know. That is what the OC is for and Gregory was the best I have ever seen at it. We would bust a play and in 30 seconds he would fix it. The O-line coach has five guys to watch backside and play-side, QB coach has one to watch, but still you are coaching YOUR guys or guy and to focused on coaching them to be worried about ANYBODY else. These parents that complained about me and Jeff, God is my witness and any of the coaches, and I mean any will tell you NOT ONCE, NOT ONCE ,if that kid did not play in the line did I EVER MENTION THERE KIDS NAME NOT ONCE. You make the commitment and sacrifices,family, financially, free time and to get accused of crap like we have and NONE of it true. Its a disgrace. There is few that says well its the "perception" of having a Dad out there, the problem with that if you look hard enough you can use "perceptions" as an excuse for a whole bag of things, you have to have fact and proof to back up what you say or you can have a "perception" for about anything, but that dosent make it anywhere near the truth. . Maybe I do have a chip on my shoulder, you know what, I really don't care. I just am dead set on not ever letting what happen to "ALL" the kids in Monroe county ever happen again. You see for me it was just about the kids and the is all. To see them done they way they have been done, to look into there faces and see the pain and frustration is hard to swallow. Yet the people involved are never around(except for a few parents with kids already graduated) to look those kids in the eyes. I am kind of curious Kevin, you got your information on the input from ALL the assitants coaches from who?? I just didn't remember seeing you at any of the coaches meetings. Maybe you could also enlighten us on how that input was attained from the assitant coaches, how that input was applied and when.

what you have had is a handfull of parents that have made excuses for little Johnny all his life and they ALWAYS blame someone for there failures. If little johnny is not the star then it is someones fault. Most of those parents are gone now but a few hang around becuase they are so bitter.
