i think so in some areas, i feel that coffee has a better running game than Riverdale, however CC has not proven they can pass yet, and i really dont understand why, they have some boys than catch (#88,1 and 18) they might not beat you deap but they will catch the ball if they put them in the right routes, they have proven that over the last few years. if they dont start spreading the field early somebody will stop the running game. i feel cc run def is as good however they are still working on the def. back field, i think they have the right people there just need to keep getting better. People seem to get wide easy. i know the scores that they have given up looks bad but if you break it down, most of shelbyville points came after big plays from there special teams, and it appeared that cc fixed that problem. All in all i see improvement of a team that is very physical, i know they got beat Friday night but they got beat by a good team that will win allot of games.

i seen Rhea county against Coffee Co. They had a hard time stopping CC run game, but they was missing a few players, I believe that Rhea County will have to much offense for Cumberland. Rhea c. by 21. Good luck to both

This should be an old fashion hard hitting football game, with both teams running the wingt, i believe it will come down to who can pass the ball. i like coach ferguson however caoch price knows the wingt about as good as anybody, and coach sisk has been working his defense against the wingt every since he has been here.

several missed tackles on kick off however i think it will be an easy fix. They have 4 solid running backs that will put up big yards this year. the passing game will come around, the qb seems un-sure right now, he has a few solid recievers # 1,18 and 88, they just was off a little tonight. the offence and def. line is solid very big for a high school team, they appear to have depth in the line.

i would try but would not know where to start. CC kick off team kept shelbyville in the game, first half was all CC even though the score was tied. CC had a 14 point lead with 6 minutes to go in game, and that is when the game took a huge change. it was a normal first game with allot of mistakes by both teams. good luck to both.

I agree totally, coach Price like always has them in great shape. Offense and def line will control the game, from start to finish. look for big numbers.

score could have been worse, CC's defense had blown coverage in there first drive which put MC on board first, Coach Sisk made some adjustments and the defense played solid after that. Also CC turned one over at the goal line which could have been a TD. Both teams played well, but i was very pleased with CC

Coffee looked solid just need to work a few wrinkles out, and i feel certian Price will get that done. I didnt get to see the first scrimage however they seem to be very strong and great shape. it looks like he is playing allot of kids, which is normal for him. it did not apear that he is going to throw much, which is fine as long as they can run like they did Friday night.

You are quite welcome for the comments. I don't think you can expect them to speak in public. It's ashame we have adults acting like this. I would also hate to think these are cc fans, at least not true fans. Adults should not get on here and demoralize kids. That is just wrong.

its a good hour of sports talk and i encourage people to listen. however i doubt all the negative coacht posters will come out from behind their screen name and talk, they would rather bash kids that they should be encouraging. on a good note i was pleased to see the crowd cheer for Micah. he is a fine young man and well deserving of this honor. i look forward to watching him at the next level.

If you were at the game and watching the play you would have seen that both the ezell player and cc player were both up in the air going for a rebound. Both kids had their hands in the air over their heads falling to the floor with the ball. The cc kid fell on top of the ezell kid. The ezell kid shoved the cc kid. A cc player shoved him. That is where the technicals came from. The flagrant foul was called after the technicals by an official that was not in position to make the call. The technicals were justified. The ejection was an over reaction by the official. It's ashame that a player has to suffer because an official was somewhere he did not want to be. It was an aggressive game by both teams. The young cc team is improving every week. Coach Taylor is doing well keeping his players focused. Good luck in the tournament.

Why is it that every time someone tries to do something good in this county someone has something negative to say. Whats wrong with starting a new tradition? Who's to say that other jersey's won't be retired? Have you bothered to ask someone that is involved? Or are you automatically assuming that this will be the one and only? Maybe they are starting with the most recent and working their way back. I don't know. But I would think it would be a little difficult to retire a jersey that you don't have in your possession. I doubt very seriously there is a room of old jersey's in the school. The point is you have to start somewhere. If you have concerns about the way it is being presented then get involved with the program instead of complaining on this board. Step up and be a leader. Things will never change as long as everyone continues to be negative. Be happy for this kid and his successes and suggest that other jersey's be retired too.
