shucks, you beat me to it. Too many missed opportunities by the ladies from JC. But that is not to take anything away from Cookeville, they played very hard and deserved the win. (I didnt like the jumpball call at the end. I saw a hook of the arm, and then the tie up. But I was a neutral observer so what do I know....and then there was some balding fella on the bench yelling for a TO) Anyways, very good game. (ok......I wasnt so neutral....but I was trying to be) Good luck to both teams, I will be trying to keep up with you through the tourney.

ah yes, Rachel Brown. Thank you. And you are right. there are plenty of good players, and more of them deserve to be mentioned than what I put in my list, but my brain is on overload this week. I must also add that Coach McWilliams, with the loss of Lashay Davis and Jennifer Maynard, was predicted by some to be pretty average this year. Although I do not think she will win it, she should at least be in the conversation about Coach of the Year. My vote still goes to Dodgen Go BEES

I agree with you completely about needing to play to get the honor, but I think that it had to at least be mentioned here "unofficially". I think the Sells kid probably gets my vote also, if I had a vote. the Roberts kid at Upperman is outstanding, as is the Dyer kid. The team would be completely different without each of them. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them play since they were freshman. Cannot say enough good about them. The Sells kid, and the Taylor kid at LA are my two favorite non Bee kids in the district. I think for Player of the year you have to look at Sells and Sissom, Roberts and Dyer, and the kid up at York, please forgive me for forgetting her name......anyways. Roberts and Dyer kind of cancel each other out,Im going with Sells -v- Sissom....and Sells wins it. Coach of the year, goes to Dodgen, but this is all just the opinion of a dern yankee when it comes down to it. Good luck to all, it has been a pleasure watching the kids play.

I think when you look at what happened (or DIDNT happen) down in Smith Co this year, you could make a good argument for K.Ferriss as MVP. I have never seen a team miss one player as much as they did this year. Good luck to all.

It cant be too much worse than sitting here at work.......ok, maybe just a little. There were times that I think sitting at the front table having to keep my mouth shut was worse on my blood pressure than sitting in the "d-up" seats could have ever been.

I want to play the top dog Every game. Give me the toughest game possible, the biggest and baddest team in the state. If my team is any good I would have to play them eventually anyways. And this way I would never have trouble getting my kids focused for a game. But it does suck having to play Livingston Academy EleventyBajillion times just to get to Murfreesboro. AND THEN, possibly have to face them again once we get there!! Bring it. Let's get it on.
