I think the Upperman celebration was so intense Monday because they won the matchup between the two best teams in this region tournament and avoided elimination. I hope tonight both teams come to play! I always love to watch this #11 on #11 matchup. Hopefully both teams bring their A game to substate and maybe even both make a trip to the Boro? Good luck tonight to both teams!

Sorry dude , someone needs to point out that Upperman only beat LA twice this year , LA BEAT UPPERMAN TWICE, whos game were you at! Well dude, I guess someone needs to point out that the two Upperman wins were the two post season meetings that mattered most.

Whoa, hold up... There is no upsets or underdogs in LA vs UHS, a win is a win. The word UNDERDOGS is irrelevant to the LA/UHS game.

Upperman defeated LA by 3

LA is the #2 seed and Upperman is the #3 seed. I was under the impression that a lower seed beating a higher seed was considered an upset, not to mention that LA is 2-0 vs Upperman this year...

Anyone calling 2 upsets tonight with Upperman over LA AND Dekalb over Cannon???

If i had a vote, I would consider Sells, Roberts, Brown, and Sissom for MVP. I would give the notch to Sells because she has the most deadly jump shot in the district hands down. Roberts and Sissom are capable of taking over games from 3 every night. And when Brown decides to go to hoop you had best get out of the way because she is as tough and strong as they come. So that gets MVP and 3 of the 1st team players. Next i would go to Dyer, because she is the best post player is the district. Then i would have a tough time debating between Biles and Woodward, because both can take over a game when needed but would be tough to pick between the two for the last spot on 1st team.

Okay so if i am correct, if Cannon Co. defeats Upperman Monday night, Cannon Co. gets the title. Upperman would get the title if they beat LA friday and Cannon Co. Monday. And LA needs to beat Upperman Friday and Dekalb Co. Saturday and then need Upperman to beat Cannon Co. Monday, to cause a 3-way tie. So how does everyone see this playing out?

Now with only hours to go, the hype and tension is beginning to grow. Should be a packed gym that colors divide, with plenty of cheering from each of the sides. Loud spelling of "H-O-G-E-Y-E"s, countered with the screams of "GO BEES!" A neutral site is wanted by all, knowing we'll still argue with every call. LA with the MVP that many fear against the team led by coach of the year. So hard to pick a winner in a fierce rivalry game, especially with a district title to claim. But even if the cats come ready to play, I'm still picking the BEES all the way!
