  4. Bill Price Will Coach New Signal Mountain Eagles (from www.chattanoogan.com) posted December 17, 2007 Bill Price, former head football coach at Soddy-Daisy, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and Bradley Central, will be the first football coach for the Signal Mountain Eagles. Principal Eddie Gravitte said, "We are thrilled that Bill Price will be building our football program. He will begin immediately building his staff and scheduling games for the 2008 year." Price was mostly recently coach at Coffee County High School. A former Red Bank High quarterback, he started out at Lookout Valley High, then was an assistant to Tom Weathers at Red Bank. Gravitte said Signal Mountain High will be grades 6-11 next year, so some of the games scheduled may be against JV squads. He said the only game set thus far is Sept. 5 at Sequatchie County. The school does not yet have a stadium, but Gravitte said a fundraising drive is underway with a goal of having it ready by the start of the football season. He said the addition of Price should give the fund drive a real boost. He said it should also help with enrollment. There are 425 students at the current Signal Mountain Middle School, and 200-300 others have signed up for the school.
  5. Does anyone know if this match will be held in the school gym or at the SD wrestling building?

  7. It is always good to see BCB at the tournaments ( i don't know how he got 3 camera angles at a time). Great two days of wrestling. Tee Boone and Chris Livingston at 125 was the match of the weekend. 4 OTs. Tee never gave up. Congratulations! I look forward seeing these young men in February in Chattanooga!
  8. for the Dad vs Dads, could I request 3 103lb dads as my match with 20 second rounds?

  10. 140 lbs will be Chris Aguilar for Bradley. Chris won the Huntsville Invitational. He tweaked is shoulder and has been out the last two weeks. He is practicing this week and will compete in the Bradley Invitational. Of course, the second round of challenge matches will take place before this match up so the lineups could change. This will be a great match! It will be at Bradley and expect a large crowd. This crowd could be larger and louder than the match up last year when #1 ranked Soddy Dasiy and #2 ranked Bradley met. Good luck to both teams!
  11. Wrestling starts at 5 pm EST on Friday. Saturday starts at 9:00 a.m. Finals areound 4 or 5 pm.
  12. The new coach at Hixson has some excellent athletes to build a program. I think Bradley put together their best overall team performance of the year last night.

  19. Bradley Central's Matt Watson beat 4 time state champion Kyle Cuthbertson who is ranked 10th in the nation at 160 lbs this past weekend in Alabama at the Huntsville Invitational. Cuthertson and his brothers are a well known wrestling family. Kyle wrestles for Scottsboro High School which won state championships the last two years. It is my understanding, Kyle won as a 8th grader and has a chance to be a 5 time State Alabama Champion. Way to go Matt The Bears took first place at the Huntsville Invitational including 6 first place medals, 1 second, 4 3rd place, and 1 4th place.
  20. Since this is a light hearted thread, I would like to add to the up coming seminar. We should add a section on covert cameras and filming. Go to www.supercircuits.com for the latest and greatest concealed cameras. This would have solved all of the recent problems. All this in meant to be in fun. I hope we can all laugh and move on. Ron
  21. Here are my picks for the 4 most anticipated match ups at the state tournament. I hope I get to see: 171 - Jake Young - Pat Flynn 160 - Brandon Wright - Travis Creagan 189 - Tyler Robertson - Landon Hall 112 - Josh Jadoorisingh - Tee Boone - Hunter Randolph What are some of the other great matches? Just good wrestling! Let the best man win!
  22. This is my very first post on Coach T. I am a member of the Bear Nation. I was at the Region 3 Tournament. I have read the TSSAA rules. I have met Mr. Boone. I could care less about if filming was done or not. The rules seems to have some gray area that leaves room for the need of clarification.. I am disappointed in Mr. Boone's story. If he just said he had come to Cleveland and was filming the match and there was incident which involved a disagreement about his ability to do so, I would not even response to this story. But, he tries to paint a picture of himself just happening to end up in Cleveland that day. The story he paints goes a follow: 1. I just happen to be in Cleveland last Saturday. 2. I just happen to run over to the Region 3 Tournament between the times I just happen to be in Cleveland. 3. I just happen to have my video camera with me. 4. I just happen to film the match which involved the two boys who my son could mostly like meet in the state tournament this week. 5. And a big fact, a few weeks before I just happen to be in Cleveland taping the match of the two boys my son could mostly meet in the state tournament, I was reading the TSSAA Handbook and talked with a lawyer about whether is was legal to tape matches. 6. I just happen to want to tape the match for my “personal” use. Come on Mr. Boone. You came to tape the match. End of the story. I am sure you feel you were right. So just say so! Don’t beat around the bush and post things just to stir bull. This should be about the kids. Let them wrestle. I hope Mr. Carter clears up this matter. Ron Moore
