I Would have to say O.C Melton from the Mckenzie Rebels. Altough he dosent get much playing time 14 of his hits have come from bunting. He is quick out of the box and has outstanding speed. Ive Seen fielders sneaking up before the ball is even thrown and he still finds a way to get it done.

Mckenzie is as of the 18th 6-o in district play on a little winning streak? do they have what it takes to make it back this year to the big show?

Henry lost alot of talent last year but I will have to comment on one player on the team. That would be Dustin Mcclure. This kid has been through alot as far as baseball goes. the kids about as big as a semi and can put one out anywhere he plays. Not to mention his fielding is also second to none. Idk what the coach was thinkin when he didnt put him on the roster last year but I expect him to do big things for the team this year. and just to let you know. Ive only seen him play, IDk him so that thought is out of the question.

Anything on the jones boy? I heard he messed his hand up? How long? will it hurt the Rebels?

From what i hear. Keck from Lexington has moved to Huntingdon to play baseball for the mustangs. is he eligible? sounds to me like some moves are being done under the radar. but now days who knows??

Ok Mr. "Hollywood".Comments are a little harsh dont you think? Truth is Gleason would have won anyways. The coaching, players, crowd, and even the cheerleading squad was better. Truth is when Gleason gets going, your not stopping them. Kayla played her heart out the whole year and your sittin here whinning about the calling. thats prolly why your sitting at home watching basketball and shes the one on TV your watching!

The Defending State Champs, Mckenzie Rebels will play on tuesday, March 6th at Henry County High School. Will be a very good scrimmage and a chance to see what these boys will offer this year. 5:30 starting time.

I would have to say that Drew Brown from Mckenzie is one of the Most Unknown but all around great catchers in the state. I mean you have to think just as a sophmore he cought the dominent pitcher drew hayes. I would have to put my money on this kid cause he truly is the "Real Deal"!!

When you think of Mckenzie, what do you think of? UNDERDOG! and that is exactly where they need to be. The rebels play so much better with a chip on their shoulder. Believe me, some "GUYS" are gonna be suprised when Mckenzie steps on the field this year. Definetely state material and if not this year. U can almost put your money on next year. But this is now and what those boys have is some secret weapons. Look for Mckenzie to do some damage this year!
