  1. i seen a little of north greene last night on touchdown friday nite and i have seen middle school teams that looked better than them.
  2. what about bruceton, i hear they have two biggens in the backfield at rb and fb. i havent heard a whole lot about them since the season started. i know i'd have them in my top 5
  3. plus phillips, great defensive coach.
  4. youall are the ones whining. afterall we did come out on top we dont have a whole lot to whine about besides poor officiating but thats alright as long as we got that W. this is a hampton jellico thread buddy if you dont like what were saying then get out. youre still crying about what happend last week. how long is this going to last?
  5. aside from your "diciplined" players and coaches. hampton had 2 or 3 face mask penalties that never happend. oneida's players are diciplined but it helps when the refs are calling td's for youall when the qb isent in and facemask penalties against us that didnt happen. oneida cant help it when the refs make mistakes shoot if the refs were giving us a td if one of our players clearly wasent in i wouldnt be complaining. but you all did play hard. oneida has alot to be proud of and a bright future. now can we get off of the subject about the referees and who got screwed and who didnt because we are not going anywhere with this. i'm going to keep preaching that we got the worse end of the officiating and oneida people are going to keep saying that they was just that diciplined. game is over, lets move on.
  6. i think a few people has forgotten how good hampton is. i look for the starters to only play the first half. jellico will not score on hamptons starters
  7. i guess if you like driving 3 1/2 hours, getting screwed over by sorry refs and watching a decent football team (oneida) pull plays out of their toe we got our moneys worth, atleast we got the W. i'm still pretty confident that hampton is about 3 td's better than oneida, no offense. everything that could have went wrong for hampton did. your boys played hard youall should be proud.
  8. i heard that he was hearing from boise state before he broke his ankle. dont know if thats true or not but he was dang good. i'm pretty sure he could have put up impressive stats and high school classification.
  9. what about the grooms kid from cosby? timmy campbell and jared dont look too bad either.
  10. i seen him play last thursday, he is a good player dont get me wrong but he's not what the stoner creekers make him out to be, from the way everybody from the creek talks he is the next lawrence taylor. he is good but not the best lb in the conference. it didnt seem to me like he had over 20 tackles. i may be wrong.
  11. pujo, i was at the chuckey doak game last thursday and the guy up in carl's roost called estep's name for several tackles that he wasent even close to. estep is a good player but a little over hyped in my opinion. anyway here are my picks. hampton 35 oneida 7 cloudland 33 west greene 12 unicoi 28 happy valley 14 union co. 14 unaka 7 science hill 42 elizabethton 7
  12. thats what i thought. someone told me that they were 1a. thanks pujo
  13. i like youre post, i will agree region 2 is more solid from top to bottom and hampton is the best team in either region. what region is rockwood in?
  14. pujo, last years JC team beat CAK. plus JC was supposed to be even better this year. i think i seen where they said this was supposed to be the best JC team since the early 80's, that should show how much talent hampton has on the team this year.
  15. i think its a little unfair that you are comparing hampton, a 1a team, to a power house in 2a that could probably win the state championship in 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a if not for maryville or possibly even 5a. the kids will play their butts off every game i will promise you that no matter what their classification or the circumstances; thats hampton football. i think oneida is going to come to play friday night but unfortunately for them the dogs will be ready as well. i'm going to say hampton by at least 3 td's and the hampton defense will hold oneida under 2 td's. johnson co. was lucky to score 24 on hamptons rock solid defense. they will play a better game this week. good luck dogs.
  16. i would honestly take this years hampton team over any of them three. in my opinion johnson co is better than all of them and look what the score turned out last fri. 42-24
  17. i'm sure they know they need to get it fixed. i'm pretty sure that all the bulbs will be fine come next home game if i were guessing
  18. i heard they tried it out a day or two before the game and everything was fine and the night of the game it just didnt work.not a big deal.
  19. hampton 15 johnson co. 7 unaka 25 cd 7 elizabethton 28 hv 12 cloudland 6 avery 28
  20. i was reading a little about jc in todays star, it sounds like phipps and prudhomme will be tough. i expect a good hard hitting game
  21. i admire the people of roan mtn for supporting their team through thick and thin. you know whether cloudland is good or bad that when you go to the roan it's gonna be a packed house, and thats how it should be. the landers have always had very loyal fans. i look forward to making the trip to orr field when they face hampton.
  22. i believe robbie will be fine, cloudland should suprise some people this year. they are my pick for 2nd in the conference. and i am pretty darn sure they will win it next year
  23. crockett looked like they have really improved since the last schrimmage against hampton, they could suprise some people this season. hopefully the scrimmage this tuesday will help both teams to improve a little before the season starts
