If you missed the game last night at Oakland, you missed a good game! The Coffee County Red Raiders showed that they can play the game. I personally want to say thank you to the guys, you have shown more heart than anyone would have thought. You have made this an exciting season and made us all proud! Thank you Coach Jones, Coach Adams, Coach Gattis, Coach Browning you have been the guiding light to a group of young guys that have matured and became what TEAM means! So, if you have not listened on the radio or watched a game this year its not to late. They play on Friday at Bradley turn your radio on to Thunder 1320 or take a drive to the game. Show your support to this very deserving team. GO BIG RED!!! Your on the road to state Keep up the hard work and your heads in the game. No matter what. I am so PROUD you you and all your accomplishments.

It is my understanding that the game will be palyed at Oakland. As far as Coffee County field, it looks great now, the seating is limited however. It was a packed house last night, the bleachers were full and everyone else brought chairs and some of the students even parked behind the field and watched from their truck beds!!! It was a great game and Cookeville had a great year a class act!

Doug, Just wanted to say thank you for all the pictures that you have posted this year. I have enjoyed seeing them. You do a good job and everyone appreciates you taking the time to take them and post them. I don't blame you however, you are a parent and should be able to enjoy the games. Oh, I agree totally!!! You can never predict a ballgame. I only restated they had four leaving. Those seniors have proven to be team players and I only wish the very best to the team next year!!! This year they have made for some very good games and memories for those seniors. I agree to good luck to all teams in district 8AAA.

Coffee County on has four seniors and they will be missed! I want to congradulate the coaches and players on a gob well done. These young men have become a team when everyone said it wouldn't happen. The players are family and they have had some problems this year. They set their goals and are reaching for them. All Coffee County fans applaud you heart! Last night proved to me that the seniors have be mentors to the under classmen, The team never gave up and the seniors helped leaad they way. I expect nothing less of the juniors next year! This is a great group and time willl tell. Good Luck Coffee County!!!

WOW!!! What a game! Both teams need to be congratulated on a game well played. Lincoln County was a class act and those boys did a great job. What do you say about Coffee County? They played one heck of a game. Saywer Mason did them proud! Over heard him say that he wasn't ready for the seniors to be finished. Great job Coffee County congratulation to the guys and coaches!!! As, far as blue goes GOOD JOB!!!

I have watched most of the district tournament games the last few days and as we all knew this is a great district to play in. The games have been great to watch. We can blame the umps, the coaches, even they players but, NOBODYS perfect, we have all made mistakes on the playing field one way or another as a coach, player, or ump! I have been all three and the bottom line is that these young men that are out there playing their hearts out and every team has shown that. This is some of these young mens last game of baseball they will ever play and we as spectators need to applaude the job they have done. I think that over all so far this has been good baseball and as for as the umps most of them have a day job and don't have to take the hassles that we all give them and yes I know that they get paid to do this job but, believe me you have to love it to put up with the grief that they get. Let's let the guys play, the coaches coach, and we need to be the supporters not the ones who criticize it affects the players on the teams when thats all they hear. At this point in the game one has to forget about the hit, homerun, error, the loss or win and concertrate on the next play or game because that is what really matters. So, Binns and all the other officials thank you for the job you do. It lets our kids have something to do and hopefully will make the mentors to the youth in the future.

How has the pitching gone so far in the tournament? Everyone should be fresh. Has anyone stood out? Starters or closers?

No doubt they do, I know of several players that would be interested in playing at Motlow if given the chance. It seems that Motlow has had some problems with keeping some players from district 8AAA don't really know why except maybe they want to weed them out. This sure isn't HS baseball anymore and the coaches don't put up with alot of stuff that HS coaches do. There is always someone wanting to take the place of another player. I hop to see Motlow get a new start.

I heard that Motlow had a new coach, Who is he? I heard also, that he would be at the District Tournament looking for players.

District 8AAA has some really strong players. Who has signed and what college? Who are being looked at?

Columbia played well and they were the better team today. Coffee County needs to regroup and get ready for district. You never know what the outcome could be in District 8AAA baseball. They are gonna have to get the bats hot and have strong pitching. The field will make the plays. Let's go Raiders and have a good tournament!

Thanks! Everyone has been confused about locations. I knew that the games were usually played like you posted but, rumors were out that ALL games were being played at TTown. I just think that is bad for some schools and it is not the most central location. Its great for teams from Coffee, Winchester, Shelbyville, even Lincoln but, Columbia and Lawrence it is a distance.

Well you don't have to be so, anyway I understand what you said!!! What I have been told is that ALL GAMES will be played in Tullahoma this year and NO GAMES will be played at the host schools. That is what I am trying to find out if teams will get to host at their home field.

Ok, this is still not clear to me. It doesn't really matter but everyone I have talked to seems to be confused on exactualy how this is going to be done this year. I understand the past but, I have been told it was all different this year and that ALL games would be played at Tullahoma. Does anyone know for sure how the district tournament will be played?

I this for sure? If so it would mean that the number 1 and number 2 seeds will get a 1st round bye? Will all these games be played at Tullahoma or will teams host at their home field.

I think that Estill, Mason, Morgan all pitched this weekend. I think Jamie Sain was the only district pitcher that didn't go to the mound. Don't think that they saw many innings but!

That is what makes district 8AAA so wonderful! Anyone could win. This year so far has proven one thing, the game is not over until the last out is made. Alot of 7th inning wins, come from behind wins, you just never know.

How did Coffee County do in the games today?

Great game, Coffee County won bottom of the 7th. 4 - 3. Jamie Sain went the whole game and knocked in the winning run.
