The game has just been moved to tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7 because of the weather coming in on Friday.

The number of flags was ridiculous. Should have been a flag for excessive penalties!

Wasn't much of a game...2nd half anyway. Mt. Juliet outplayed Central from start to finish, though WC's 52 yard field goal was something else!

Hendersonville didn't get a 1st down in the 1st half and Central gave up at least 3 scoring opportunities in the 1st half, including a fumble on the 1 yard line that Hendersonville recovered.

Central fans -- please help me out. Which Wildcat blocked the McGavock punt late in the game and who recovered it in the endzone for a TD? Also, the Stewart kid who scored for WC in the 1st quarter -- which one was that? There are a couple on the team. Thanks.

 

 

I believe the punt was blocked by #8 and recovered by #49 but that is just a best guess it was hard to tell. As to the other question I have no idea which Stewart he is. Good luck to both teams on Friday night.

#8 is J.D. Hutchings and #49 is Matt Manning according to the roster I have. The Stewarts are Alex (10) and Darell (29). I have no idea who blocked the punt, but just trying to help out with the jersey numbers given.

I'd like to see WC get their first win, but if I were a betting person, I would put my money on Hendersonville.

The story that happened with Coach Elrod is this. traye aric hired Coach Elrod on during the summer to run the offense, of which Coach Elrod was doing. However, during games a play would be sent down from Coach Elrod to traye aric and instead of just running the play that had been called, traye eric would change the play and running something different that wouldn't work. So Coach Elrod told traye aric that unless he listened to the offensive coor. like he was suppose to do then he would leave. So traye aric told him that it didn't matter to him, because his services weren't needed anymore. Which now looks like a really bad idea, seeing that they have only score 38 points in five games.

Another loss for WC, two straight games that WC didn't score a point. Send thanks to traye aric for letting Coach Elrod go. Looks like last year's offensive success can be attributed to Coach Elrod.

I heard that Coach Elrod quit, not that he was fired.

I don't understand why the players would be skipping practice, they shouldn't be, but then again Aric shouldn't let them play after skipping either. That would put a stop to it. Honestly, I was very surprised to read that in the paper. Not sure what the thinking was there.

Would like to see Central do good Friday night, but not too hopeful. Maybe if the players would quit cutting practice they would know what they're supposed to do on the field!

I had contacted them last year about providing some images and was told they were discontinuing their Middle TN edition due to costs.

The local papers seem to be the best way to keep up with local sports. The Tennessean can't cover everybody, but the locals (Wilson Post, Lebanon Democrat, Daily News Journal, etc) do a good job of covering their local teams.

I uploaded some photos to the photo gallery for Lebanon / Wilson Central game that were in landscape format, but the gallery has squeezed them to fit in vertical orientation, distorting the images. Can these be changed to display properly? I don't want severely distorted images associated with me.

I have rosters for Lebanon and Wilson Central in Word format. I thought there used to be a way to upload rosters in Excel format. If so, it would be easy to copy/paste these to Excel and upload, but I can't find that option. Does it still exist?

Turnovers was the difference here. Two Central turnovers yielded two Lebanon TD's.

Good game between the two rivals.

Siegel is shown as beating Wilson Central 24-21, but the final score was actually 31-28 (Siegel still won).

I left while Wilson Central was up 3-1 over Upperman, but that was early in the game. WC was playing White House after that game, too.

Illinois beat Wilson Central Thursday 3-2.

Anyone know if any delays due to weather today?

Congrats Wilson Central! I've enjoyed watching you and taking photos of your team all season.

I'm sure there were bad calls both ways. Can't just pick out one bad call, though it was obviously a bad call.

Do the tournaments ever get cancelled, and if so, where would it be posted? TSSAA website? Local TV and Radio stations?
