  1. Battle Ground Academy: Sydney Eddy to Ole Miss
  2. BGA-4 St. Benedict-3 Finished in OT. Great game from beginning to finish. BGA came out of the gates real fast and caught St. Benedict flat by going up 2-0 in the first 15 minutes. At half the score was 3-1 in favor of BGA. The second half was mostly controlled by SBA and BGA was defending for the most part. SBA was able to tie the game 3-3 in the last 10 minutes(albeit the equalizer was off of a questionable penalty decision by the ref). 4 minutes into overtime, BGA pulled ahead and didn't look back. Great performances from Sydney Eddy(1 goal, 2 assists) and Kinsey Sessions(2 goals). Kate Davis placed the second goal in nicely, as well.
  3. Connor Mitchell and Tyler Ryden out of BGA are two young risers. Both are sophomores but will be heavily relied upon this year due to BGA's young team. Connor Mitchell has great size for sophomore and plays center mid. great touch and control of the ball, makes good decisions for his age and is extremely composed. look for him to make an impact this year and in the coming years. Tyler Ryden plays up top with great quickness and speed. He may not be as big as other players, but he uses his quickness and speed very well. He will be heavily relied on to produce goals for BGA. As well as Mitchell, look for him to be an impact player this year and years following.
  4. i wanna say i remember them releasing the teams sometime in mid-june but im not completely sure. anyone know for sure??
  5. both max and jake deserve it. both are great players and did a great job of leading that McCallie team.

its funny you feel the need to keep attacking bga. anyone who was at that game knows brothers thoroughly dominated the first half and could have had a large margin going into halftime. thats not me taking a shot at Ryan, thats me stating a fact about the game. Ryan definitely was the only other team that deserved to be in the championship. they got some breaks in the first half, came out in the second and worked their tails off.

I'm not at all saying Ryan didn't play well. they came out in the second half and fought extremely hard until the final whistle. matt forrester had a very good opportunity on a header on a ball from jonah. great ball, great header, just got unlucky it didn't go in. Ryan was very unlucky at times. what I'm saying is I counted at least 6 great chances that could have been goals in the first half. brothers did a great job of working the ball around.

to be honest, Ryan was lucky it wasn't 5-0 at half. cbhs had some great opportunities that weren't finished. brothers clearly deserved the win in this match. stoney you had some great crosses that created opportunities. congrats to brothers, you guys were the best team I've seen. they dominated play in the first half. Ryan evened out play in the second but the score could have been much worse if brothers finished better. nonetheless, congrats again to brothers, you guys are real fun to watch.
  10. was at the ryan-jp2 game, and it was definitely a hard fought game. jp2 should not hang their heads, they gave a great effort. Ryan impressed me in the second half, dominating play for the most part. a questionable call where the jp2 forward and the Ryan keeper went up for a 50/50. the jp2 forward won the header and scored, but the ref called a foul and gave the jp2 player a yellow. was there an elbow thrown? from where i was sitting it looked clean. other than that, a fun match to watch. jonah, keep pulling the scissors...it was worth $8 haha. if both teams play their best in the final, i call CBHS winning 3-1. Ryan has really impressed me, but i just feel that CBHS is on a mission and they aren't going to fall short this year. ill be at the game, i expect a good one. good luck to both teams.
  11. nick27 is being sarcastic.
  12. the returning starter at center mid that was injured didnt make the difference from a 4-0 to a 2-1 loss. could it have been a factor, yes. a great team wouldnt miss a beat when a starter goes down. the rest of the team should elevate their game. once again, this is not meant to bash Ryan at all. i just think you have to give bga more credit for their win, rather than blaming the loss purely on an injury or other small reasons. but thats beside the point. all i was trying to express was my belief that Brothers is the best team. it should be an interesting tournament, and ill be there watching. good luck to all.
  13. i will for sure be there. I'll more than likely be keeping an eye on the DII games but I'll try to make rounds to different division games.
  14. i mean no disrespect to Ryan when i say this, but CBHS is considerably better. Im not saying Ryan is a bad team by any means, Brothers just happens to be the hands down best team in my opinion. They build the ball up from the back to their forwards and possess better than any high school team ive seen. Ryan and JP2 are both quality sides that will challenge Brothers, but I'm not blowing smoke when I say they are an incredible side. Ryan's biggest problem is overcoming adversity. the second something bad happens (giving up a goal) they begin to bicker with each other, the chemistry on that team is terrible. they will never win state if they dont correct that HUGE problem. addressing where you said Ryan beat bga 4-0, we were still in a newly implemented 4-3-3 formation which to led to miscommunication in defense (we later changed back to a 4-4-2, had better results obviously). we had also just come off a 5-1 drubbing to JP2 so spirits were low. CBHS beat us when we were playing our best.
  15. he's without a doubt the best player in state. he's going to do very well at memphis.
