  1. so it looks like HHS take the regular season.. can someone who understands how the tourny work give me the bracket.. i know how the first round works, but ive never been sure which seed plays which in the second round. And where is the years tourny at?
  2. To be honest i think gallatin has gotten past the region once, maybe twice. I dont see what that has to do with a Hendersonville / Brentwood game however. No one expects gallatin to be a top contender every year. They do not have the feeder programs like the hendersovilles and etc. Every once in a while they have a special group that makes a little noise, but other than that they are always behind HHS in the district. Most certainly a down year this year, but i no longer live in the area so i dont get to see as many on the Mid Tn teams. However, i have seen HHS and gallatin as well as most of the top east TN teams and by far HHS is not a state contender.
  3. not overrated.. just not up to par. period. but i wouldn't call either of the teams that played tonight state champ contenders. BHS 2 HHS 1
  4. Word is that the standout kicker for 5-5A Gallatin high has commited to play ball with the vols after a invite to the weekend's orange/white game. Another college kicker out of the mid state area, pretty impressive.
  5. Not true. Gallatin is just young, very young in the back. The back 4 and goalie are all in their first year as starters and have little experience. Bearden looked good, the are all fast and i only saw a few mis touches. Big #3 looked good against the tiny Gallatin defenders, i'd like to see him battle a more experienced bigger back line. Gallatin is down, and probably out of place up here with the top east tn teams, hope to see more games and some improvement. Best of luck to all.
  6. The kid from MBA was the State Championship game MVP.. and The Ingham kid got Region 5-5A MOst valuable Specialist of the the year and was picked 1st team all county the other day..
  7. I dont understand how the Mr. Football Kicker of the year title can go to this kid from Polk County. Hammonds was 5-8 on field goals 36-39 extra points .. and quoted by his coach to "sometimes get it to the endzone" on kickoffs. How offend is sometimes..Can he not do it everytime?... and he didnt kick any to the endzone in the ALLSTAR game and missed Fields goals from 20yrds in...Mr. Football titles in the past have gone the best in the state with real stats... colleges stats.. but this here is a joke. Congrats to Mike Hammonds but him recieving the award is a joke. Recently the All-Midstate Teams where listed in the Tennessean Newspaper the kicker listed for the 1st team midstate, Chase Matthewson*. His stats where listed in the paper with a picture. The news paper wrongly reported that he made vaguely 10 field goals, 36- 39 pats, and had a long of 54 yrd. field goal, and best of all the paper reported that he was an incredible 32-34 kickoffs for touchback.. Ha ha thats so for from true 32-34 would put him in the 90% range for kickoffs for touchbacks and his long was on a 46yrd field goal.. but on his school football website the wilson central page it list all the team stats including his, he was truly 32-65 kickoff attempts to the endzone. so he wasnt even really 50% on the year.. and congrats he made 10 field goals but he was 10-19.. the hot stuff right there.. but again congrats to him on the false information given there fore recieving the award. but again thats a joke. The 2nd Team kicker and even the Third Team Kickers were obviously the dominant kickers of the midstate and the state. The 2nd Team Kicker Andrew Flecher* of MBA and Sophomore had a brillient season..He was the reason his team won the state championships 12-0 he was 4-4 on the field goals. That was huge and congrats to him.. he was consistantly kicking off to the endzone at 2/3 everygame.. he missed maybe 2 extra points on the year. and as a sophomore his long for the season was a 49yrd field goal. WOW! hands down already better than the kid who won first team. The Third Team Kicker Ethan Ingham from Gallatin Senior, Stats are listed and 20-22 extra points, 9-14 field goals long of 47 and most impressively he was 36-39 kickoffs for touchbacks. He was also listed as the Pre Season ALL State, therefore meaning he put up big numbers last year to as a junior. Now these kickers right here seem to be obviously the best in the midstate and more dominant than thes award winners.. theres Other kickers and punters in the state.. such as Kase Whitehead, Mo Mo Stweart. WhiteHead is already committed to Marshall.. and Stweart is going to Vandy to play baseball.. these kids all have impressive stats... but where is there recognitions?.. I think this all apparent, that the facts are given and award recipents were wrongly chosen.. clearly..

  9. recently the two Ingham boys have been standout kickers in the region if not across the state. If i remember right the older one holds the fg record and is playing college ball. The younger boy had a solid senior year and will probably be playing on saturdays.
  10. Gallatin does NOT lose to h-ville. Great game, saw a little bit of the Gallatin Pride out of the boys tonight, let keep that going! I know all the guys talking big about hhs are probably young guys and its great to see the excitement they have for their school... but man its gotta sting this morning... 34-13 who is crying now?
  11. practice is practice... but if thats so, tell the head coach to put the boy in as soon as Gallatin crosses the 45 yd line. If I remember right the older Ingham holds the school record with 57ydr and is playing college ball now. Give the younger guy a chance coach!
  12. Ethan Ingham from Gallatin. Long of 47yd to date. nearly 100% for touchbacks... and im talking through the uprights type touchbacks
  13. obliverated...??? you most certianly are a HHS product
  14. The Ingham kid has looked good. Outside of that blocked put for a TD, which the blocking looked questionable at best. Soild on field goals and extra points, not to mention the SEC worthy kickoffs. I'd say Lassiter was atleast one weapon he should take better advantage of. The Sweat kid on defense is also note worthy. The game that boy had a hillwood was incredible. While it looked like the rest of the D was running in concrete he was all over the backfield and hillwood has tons of speed from what i saw. The only thing that i see as a possibilty is to put Boo at reciever and let the Matthews boy run QB. Boo is a stellar athlete, but in terms of reading the D and making the best decision its hit and miss. Put the ball in his hands often, but dont let him be the only thing the other teams have to defend. If he is out wide they have to respect that which would open other things up. The little bit i've seen the Matthews boy he looked solid and should only get better.

    9-AAA

Anyone have any pre-tourny all district players in mind. Any MVPs, etc. I haven't seen enough competition to make any real suggestions, but its always fun to hear what others have in mind.
