  1. I love to see teams run the pick and roll. It is a sign of a well prepared and usually successful team. And when a team on defense gets tired or lets their guard down, the result is a wide open layup or foul. Forrest and Clarkrange have some great plays involving the pick and roll and you can't argue with their success.
  2. I've seen both teams play and would have to say that Forrest should win. Community did have an injured starter(foot maybe). Anything can happen though, that's why they play the game. Good luck to both teams.
  3. Always hard to beat 6 or more people on the court at the same time. Did the big guys for Eagleville have a big game?
  4. I think we came out with more energy and desire tonight than the past few games. Down by 1 at the half but the fouls where starting to add up. The second half was all MTCS. Between the turnovers and the foul trouble, we didn't have a chance. Hats off to the lady Cougars, they have a good team. We have to stop the meaningless fouls and protect the ball. Hopefully Friday night we can turn things around.
  5. Good post EP, alot of true words spoken.
  6. With all underclassmen starting tonight, Community did a good job. Hopefully when ya'll come to the mountain we can return the favor.
  7. Our girls need more than just answers right now. They need motivation and drive to play. They act like they don't want to play. They don't care if they get out rebounded or make bad passes. We can't get everyone on the same page, sometimes not even the same chapter. I know mistakes will be made but corrections should be put in place to help prevent them. We are going through the same funk we went through last December. We turned it around about the time of the Christmas tournament. Hopefully we can turn it around again.
  8. No Community is not a cupcake and they do have some good players. But Van Buren out hustled and out rebounded them tonight. I havn't seen Eagleville play yet but Van Buren might be the best team in the district right now. But as someone already mentioned the district has some quality teams and come tournament time it could come down to who gets hot at the right time.
  9. Maybe if some of the boys would get a haircut it would help. Several times at a recent game, one of starters(don't know his name) would have to move the hair out of his eyes after shooting or trying to get a rebound. As far as it being all the coaches fault I disagree. Bledsoe basketball has never been over run with overwhelming talent.
  10. First off, I would like to say congrats to the girls for their success this year. After losing a starter to injury, we all had doubts about the rest of the season. Hopefully next year will be injury free and we can build on what we accomplished this year. But what we don't need is the negativity some people are bringing to this board. I'm sure the players are reading this or hearing about it. This is the way to divide a team, regardless of who the coach is. We all know Coach Binkley isn't the next Pat Summitt, but he has shown improvement and hopefully continues to improve as long as he is the coach. As for Coach Amy, I think she did a wonderful job and the girls seemed to like her. I hope she stays around and helps out or takes on a bigger part is she desires. As for the girls on the team. You must do your part in the off season. You can't wait to November and pick up a ball and expect to "run with the big dogs." It is a full time committment if you want to make it to the top. Same for the coaches. Watch tape from the past season and come up with new plays and schemes. As for an earlier comment on losing Coach Bibb. You would have to be really foolish to think he was here for the long term. He only came here waiting on something better to open up. Any Coach who had the chance to go to PC would jump on it. I think he was sore at White County for passing him up on their head coaching job when they hired Slatten. White County was the big loser, we was just lucky to get him for one year.
