Enjoyed watching VB play this year. Basketball teams can get wins in a number of ways. They can physically dominate the other team (bigger, stronger, taller, quicker) or they can have a better strategy on how to win the game. Once the ball goes up at the state tournament, most teams are pretty even on the floor so it comes down to strategy on how to win. I do not fault BTW on how they played to beat VB. Every team should have a game plan on how to win and that was their plan...to get us out of the zone. The 3 point line has changed the game forever and a shot clock will reduce game plans from 32 minutes to 30 seconds.

Good call, guys. Congrats to VB on a great season. It's been fun to watch.

Wishing the best for next year for Van Buren Co. Loretto crashed the boards and took advantage of VB turnovers. Congrats to them also.

All runs must come to an end....but it sure has been a fun trip. So proud of those young men.

Will the TSSAA declare the outcome of the game 2moro?

Guess it depends on who you talk to as to what happened but someone got a T in OT from Warren Co. and Van Buren hit both free throws. On the inbounds play a Warren Co. player got a T and the coach got off the bench and took his players to the locker room with two minutes in the game. The refs left the floor and the game was over. Other stuff took place but I guess that's for others to look into.

Thought you were talking about the trip from Chattanooga to Clay Co. only. Sorry about that. I agree that home court has a huge advantage, post season included. They have not traveled very well this year so I wouldn't expect a large following from them. However, don't discount the offensive boards and second chance shots because they will try and take the air out if it's a close game.

Forget the travel to Celina, teams win on the road all the time. If Clay wants to beat LV you better keep them off the boards and prevent second chance shots. They crash like crazy. If Clay can win the boards, they have a great chance.

Does CSAS have any weaknesses?

There is a gym in Monterey, TN, named after their former coach that use to do it all the time 30 years ago. I haven't heard of it happening lately, however.
