They only have one senior on the team and she's out with a broken foot, right?

The only senior had an ACL last season and played sparingly this season. No one has a broken foot or leg. #33 (junior) has an ACL tear ow and will have surgery in the near future.

NFHS means No Football Here Stupid. That's exactly how if feels when a game is advertised and find out their not doing it but those S#*theads will take your money though. Someone at that high school should let people know that a head of time but no they don't because they don't care. Maryville High is run by someone who don't give a Chit about Football and never will or crap like that wouldn't happen. I was talking to one of the Blount County Commisioners the other day at the barber shop and his very words to me was you all got a mess on your hands and everyone in the county knows it.

The TSSAA controls all of the video broadcast rights for the post-season. No school can stream except thru NFHS and they must be a member of that organization. BCHS is a member and will be streaming on NFHS beginning about 6:30. The audio will be the live radio play-by-play from Talk 101.3 The Buzz, synched with the video. The Buzz has carried BCHS football for many years.

Coach Floyd is a good person, but a very fiery competitor.

In 1995 he set the record for rushing yards at Bradley, although they lost in the playoffs against Farragut in the 7 overtime 63-62 game. He was also a state champion in wrestling.

He is 2 games away from becoming the winningest coach in Bradley Central History for games won, doing it 18 years compared to the 20 years for Jimmy Lovell, our first coach (caveat being more games played in a season now).

He took over an 0-10 squad and built it back from the ground up.

This is the best team he has had, and he has done well with it.

I love your enthusiasm but let me correct you on a couple of items. The 7 OT game was 65-64 and Lovell was not our first coach. J.F. Conrey was the 1916 coach for the Bears. Lovell came to BCHs as coach in 1917 after being a 4-sport letterman at his beloved UT.

    Go Bears!

Are there any other gates to get in the big Bear Bowl besides pulling into the school lot? Are the end zone neighborhood parking spots for locals only?

Yes. You'll have to come thru the front gates at the school. The end zone lots are for the officials and emergency vehicles. The back lots behind the visitors bleachers are for visiting media, band buses, etc. There is plenty of parking around the school especially on the south side with the huge lot by the cafeteria.

Oh the Punter was ok. But they Kicked off the second half Kick off to him then punted to him the first punt. 2nd Punt they kicked it out of bounds.

I didn't understand why they did that at all, since everyone else was doing on-sides kicks and out of bounds punts all season.

Marcus Goree returned the kickoff for 89 yards. Not Boo. Boo had a 75-yard punt return.

Farragut has had Bradley's number much like Maryville, so that game could go either way. Bearden was really good last year, and I am not sure that they lost that much, that one could be a problem. And those are both road games to boot.

If Walker Valley plays well and Bradley has a bit of a let down this game could be a problem. Both Walker Valley and Cleveland want to end skeds against the Bears.

Bearden game is at BCHS. No matter when you may see somewhere else.

So to be accurate. Everything I said is correct except that her mom is a teacher only with no coaching responsibilities. Everything else....exactly what was posted. Why in the world would you get hot and bothered by that discrepancy. Lol. The post was a compliment to Bradley being the heavy favorite for the gold ball. I think most people were not aware that Stovall was at Bradley. Now they know. You seem like someone with quite the rosy disposition. And I might add your investigate skill in identifying the relevance of the date I joined.... you are brilliant.

So to help you with what your post could have said:

"You are correct that TaTianna is now at Bradley Central and yes they are very loaded with a great roster. Got a good shot to win it all. However her mom was simply hired as a teacher and is not on the HS coaching staff."

Yeah but what fun would that post have been.

Now you understand about Coacht. Congratulations!

As if Bradley Central was not already loaded. They added a huge 2025 to the team. They made a very strategic new assistant coach hire. She will obviously bring her daughter with her. Bradley Central playing chess not checkers. TaTianna Stovall being added is going to make Bradley Central to clear top of the ladder with the pieces they already had in place.

I don't know who your sources are but you better drop them like a hot potato. Stovall did move to Cleveland. She is a teacher at BCHS and her children are enrolled at BCHS but she is not any type of coach at BCHS. Coach Reuter, Coach Tinsley, Coach Freeman and Coach Belford are still in charge of our great Bearettes program. It looks like you just joined Coacht yesterday and this is your first post. We try to be accurate on here as much as possible. So please verify your posts before you post them or you look like a fool.

I thought they played before 1924, just not continously

They did not have an official game until 1927 between the schools since MCHS didn't start playing football as MCHS until 1927 according to the historians at MCHS.  Bradley Central played a game in 1916 against U.S. Grant University which later became Tennessee Wesleyan College/University around 1920. Some folks consider that as a game between the two schools but it was not an official game. It is referred in newspapers of that era as a game between the Cleveland school and McMinn County but it was more of a game between groups from the two towns. BCHS' first game was in 1916 with Tyner. BCHS was known at that time as Central High School when it first opened in 1916.

  10. I would like a shot clock after seeing it in some states and in college. The biggest and maybe only drawback is the expense of installing it in a gym on both ends and then having someone competent enough to control it accurately. It can't just be some parent or fan who 'thinks' they know how to do it. There's rules and situations that you must know about when to reset it or reset it to a certain number of seconds. Also, it will be an added chore for the officials to watch so they must understand the different scenarios involved in this. It will have a learning curve but one that is certainly worth the effort it takes.

  11. Bradley Central and McMinn County have played continuously since the 1927 season, 96 consecutive years. This is the 2nd longest continuous rivalry in the state. Rockwood and Harriman hold the longest streak since 1924, 99 years. The Bears lead the series with the Cherokees 55-41-3. This will be the 100th game. They have played twice in 3 different seasons.

Marion County/South Pittsburg had the longest streak until 2020 when they had a slight dispute and have not played since.

No way this can be true. It wouldn’t surprise if Fetching Floyd is asking for this after his unusual success this offseason in the transfer sweepstakes. Probably thinks he can keep it going but I have a hard time seeing him continually being able to recruit 5 stars to Boo Radley County.

It wasn't Coach Floyd but Coach Akins at Walker Valley who is on the Tennessee Coaches group who brought it up. He thinks its a done deal in a couple of years. That transfers will be allowed like college without having to sit out a year. No matter the distance between new schools. It'll be a nightmare for some schools.

Aren’t Bearden and Bradley Central/Cleveland in same substate?

No. BCHS and CHS are in District 5AAAA, Region 3 that matches up with Region 4 (Murfreesboro) in the sub-state. Bearden is in region 2 (Knoxville area)  that matches up with region 1 (upper East Tennessee) in the sub-state.

Tssaa makds stupid decisions sometimes. I hope itcomes a deluge thursdsy night,  teach them to quit moving games because of rain.

The game was moved up due to impending thunderstorms with lightning. You can play in rain but not lightning.

BCHS/MCHS is the 2nd longest series without interruption since when they 1st played. S.Pitt and Marion County streak ended two seasons ago. Midway and Rockwood are the longest currently since 1924.

BCHS and MCHS first played in 1927. That was MCHS' first season. Prior to that a high school in Athens that played the Bears was part of the U.S. Grant College, known today as Tennessee Wesleyan University.

Actually its the second oldest continuous played game in TN. South Pit and Marion Co. is first.

It will be the 99th game played between the two old rivals. Overall record is 41-54-3 in Bradleys favor.

Upset already on the boys aaaa. Bradley beat cleveland pretty handidly Friday night at smiddy. Cleveland got outplayed. Bradley is supposed to be in a rebuilding year with a new coach and only 4 seniors. Should be interesting district race between them mcminn,  wv,  and cleveland

Maybe you didn't realize it but Howard is now in our district. They will have to be reckoned with in the boys' race.
