Looks like Siegal will be playing in the "A" division. Congrats. This might solve some arguments we've been having depending on the draws. Who knows... maybe Parks will play Wishing and Siegal's 4 and 5 will play Webb's 4 and 5. Anyway, good luck and we will see you there.

That rumor is false. As for Mclemore... I'm not sure what the situation with him is. I've heard different rumors. One was that he can't play top 6 for them because he was on academic scholarship at McCallie and if you are on academic scholarship you can't play a varsity sport. Who knows though. If he is able to play... I'd say he might play over Harris.

McCallie's lineup to my knowledge is: 1. Tariq Ismail 2. Wes Nelson 3. David Henry 4. Harris/ Slabach 5. Harris/ Slabach

Science Hill is the FARRRR superior team to both DB and TN High. TN High needs to be wiped of any consideration for a state title in AAA. They got shalacked by both Webb and DB, and the matches and overall match score werent close. They are what we call a "pretender."

Baylor and MUS are clearly the front-runners, with McCallie, Webb, and MBA right behind them. It will come down to Webb and McCallie for the last spot at state.

Walling plays 4 because he beats the 5 and 6. Mackabee split sets with crist, he didn't actually beat him in practice. Haydek beat him 4,1. And.... walling, haydek, and mackabee have not gotten close to beating parks or hatcher so to say that the webb 4-6 is beating and splitting sets with the 1-3 is a tad off.

SpartanTennis, Tadd beat Mackabee LEFT-HANDED last year. Haydek is a much more solid choice at 5 than mackabee will ever be, AND he lost to the 3 girls player who will go unnamed.

Cmon now SpartanTennis... You know the top 3 are better than 4 5 and 6. Just becausde they occasionally win once in a while doesn't mean they hold a candle. Think of it this way... if you had only 3 players to pick from our team, who would you choose... Parks, Taylor, and Tadd for sure.

I agree... MUS has a great team this year like they do every year. I think MUS has as good of a chance of winning state this year as anyone. With that said, I think this year is the most even of the years. MUS is pretty good everywhere. Baylor is great with their top 4. Webb has a very even great top 3. McCallie is always a threat with Coach Vogues. And MBA will make it to state with Baker and Briggs. 1. MUS/Baylor 2. MUS/Baylor 3. Webb/McCallie 4. Webb/McCallie 5. MBA (but will make state due to the fact that only 2 can come from the east) It should be fun to see how it plays out. Webb has the most to prove because of the prestige of the other schools. Webb is usually not as strong, but if there is a year that they could be a cinderella persay, it is this year.

Ok that might have been a little childish to bring that up again, I agree. I am however appauled that 1. you said something kind of good about Webb (will sweep DB) and 2. (for the sake of argument) That you bring up the tri match was over a year ago... Your state championship was almost a year ago so can you stop bringing up that to the Bearden guys. In conclusion, any chance we could end this fued between the Webb and Siegal guys. I mean we have nothing more to attack eachother with. We both just keep bringing up the same things over and over again. I vote the Siegal and Webb guys end the hatred.

Let's get back to nationsupp's favorite topic.... the TRI-MATCH last year. Now one of Siegel's key arguments is that they werent at full strength for the match against Bearden. Let's see here, Webb wasnt either, WHADAYA KNOW! Webb didnt have tadd, taylor, or greer, and still managed to beat Bearden, who beat Siegel. So Siegel people, get another excuse. You're runnin out of them though, so you might wanna think about this one.

Nationsupp... I am guessing you play 4 for Siegal so that is why you are so defensive about how good your all's top 4 is. I know that because earlier in a thread tennisplaya asked you if you had beaten mckabee and you replied saying you had and there you talk about your all's 4 player (yourself) wiping up the court with mckabee. Congratulations. And yes harris... Baylor does deserve to be called better than us. But you started the whole > stuff when you were comparing wishing and parks southern ranking... so thats your lingo not mine.

Never said Titlebound was stuck up. I don't really care what any Siegal person says about Webb now because it's all the same. Siegal hates Webb. I know that, you know that, the whole board knows that. You all wouldn't say one good thing about us even is we did win state this year. And your right man, you burst my bubble. And you may be right about us have no shot against the real deep Baylor and McCallie teams, but why don't you just give a little bit of a chance and let us play it out. We're going to have to be confident if we are going to win state or even make it for that matter. We aren't saying we are better than Baylor or McCallie, but we definitely think we have a good shot this year. Ok, first of all we are better at tennis than you. That is just a fact. Second of all, Webb doesn't recruit. Here you go again talking about not having your dang 4 player. Well, wow you didn't have your 4 player. Guess what... Bearden wasn't at full strength either for that matter. They didn't have Fulton. Stop making so many excuses. I definitely don't think that Siegal's top 4 could play top 6 for Webb. The only two I have ever heard of are Wishing who could play arguably 1 or 2 for us, and Hale who I think would probably player 5 or 6 for us... maybe 4 I'm not sure (haven't seen him play since last year tri-match). The rest would not play top 6. Who is Harris? Just reveal who you are so we know what the heck is going on. I'm guessing he is a former player for Siegal of some sort.

I'm pretty sure that most every time you have mentioned Bearden beating you it is followed by something on the lines of "although we weren't at full strength", or something about how it was early in the morning and you all did something stupid the night before. But I guess I'm the only one who read that. Also, we never said anything about Siegal until you all said stuff about us. You all started talking about how Wishing would be Parks and how the Siegal 4 would beat Walling. Your just mad because you know Webb is in a completely different league than Siegal. Take your state championship of last year. Congratulations, you all deserved it. But quit saying that for the tri-match you weren't at full strength. Quit saying that for the tri-match you all had hang-overs. I don't see any guys on Bearden or Science Hill on here making excuses about why they didn't win state last year. Just admit that you guys lost to Bearden in the tri-match without saying something about the stupid stuff your team did or who wasn't there. Noone is taking anything away from your state championship last year so don't take anything away from Bearden's head to head victory over you. And I think Bearden realizes that winning state is bigger than a head to head win. They just don't want to hear you guys make all these excuses for the tri-match just like us Webb guys don't want to hear you all talk about all the different matches you can win vs. us.

I've got a serious problem with you bringing southern rankings into the equation because they all have to do with how many tournaments you play. I'm not saying it applies to Parks vs. Wishing (even though I think that Parks would win), but it surely applies to the other ones. First of all, I don't even know who your all's 4 and 5 are, but I can tell you right now that if Walling is playing 4 and Haydek 5 Siegel would have a tough time winning those. Walling doesn't play many tournaments because he also plays basketball for Webb. That is why isn't as well known as some others in the area are, and it limits his time to play tournaments therefore he doesnt have much of a ranking if one at all. As for Haydek, he also doesn't play many tournaments. I would take Webb convincingly... possibly even sweeping singles.
