Should be a good one. Im guessing it will be Rhoad for Smyrna and Boston for MJ. I hope the Bulldogs win and i know the Dog Pound will be ready. Would not be surprised if both teams are playing next week.

Smyrna goes to Clarksville Monday at 7 for the region Semifinals. Who does everyone think will come out on top.

No way it will be Sonny. He will be ready for Monday. My guess is that it will be Egerton or Edwards for SMyrna. As for MJ Boston certainly would not throw on 2 days rest would he?? I mean its not even an elimination game.

Gallatin beat Hendersonville 11-10. They were up 10-9 with 2 outs and a runner on 2nd in the top of the 7th and had an error which scored the run. Won it in the bottom 7th with a base hit. Hendersonville vs. Gallatin will restart at 1 PM. Hendersonville is batting in the top of the 4th leading 8-7. Winner will play Smyrna at 4. Losers of those games will play Monday at 4 with the winner playing again at 7 needing to win twice.

Smyrna will host the 4 and 5 seeds. I think the winner of Beech-Mt.Juliet will host the 2, 6,7 seeds. Smyrna will get a first round bye and will play saturday at 4, everyone else will play on friday night. Smyrna beats Hendersonville 8-3 to win district 9AAA. Congrats to the Bulldogs.

Smyrna over Gallatin 6-0. Timothy Egerton hit 2 home runs and a double off the top of the fence. Had 5 RBI'S. Jonathon Rhoad picked up the win for the Bulldogs who improved to 9-1 on 9AAA.

Amen to that.Swader was huge in this game. Yes made a bad throw but came up with great block after great block. No one else should be catching district games.

I cannot believe some of you. The guy misses three innings to watch his daughter play a soccer game because it was in the same city that they were playing in at the time. His assistants had it under control. And the players did not want to play sunday, not because they had better things to do but because some were injured and they felt like getting rested up for the week was more important.

Im not bragging about any work that the parents or myself do to run the tourney. The gentlemen asked why we even play in the tournament so i answered. We help host Riverdale's tourney, they help host our tourney, as well as mostly every other school in the county. Our kids wanted to rest and have the day off, they had just played in savannah the last weekend. There were only 2-3 kids that wanted to play but were not heart broken at all to not play today.

I actually get on this site to find out scores more than anything. I basically just read threads and have never felt like posting anything till now. Smyrna has played in this tourney first and foremost because we host it and make money as well as playing quality teams,and the parents work their butt off to make money for the team and Booster club so that they can pay the assistants like coach Mid. You have not upset me, i just wanna know why your always hyping coach Mid. He is a great assistant coach.

Actually with the Hip Pointers, the pulled groins, the hernias, the dislocated thumb,plus the sore arms, only a couple wanted to play. I would have loved to see us play Oakland too, we will on the 21st and hopefully again later down the road.

We are not scared of Oakland. I am certain we schedule Oakland every year. We play them on the 21st this year. The reason our coach decided not to play according to my son was because we play 4 games this week, and have multiple injuries and sore arms that needed to get well. 2priceless- i have read this board a lot over the last 3 years but now i can finally ask the question. Are you Coach Mid's best friend or his agent? WHich is it. I will go ahead and say that Coach Vetter did not arrive until the 3rd inning of the game friday night. The reason is because the game was scheduled at 7 but started at 615 because of a run rule, and because he had the opportunity to finally watch his little girl play soccer in Smyrna. Yes oh my God he missed some of the game to watch his daughter who was playing close enough to where he could watch her. Give me a break. Me and some of the other parents were talking about how great we thought it was. He knows he has 3 good assistants that could do the job till he got there. And by the way Mid was not the head coach because no one was. Coach Vetter made out the lineup. Coach Mid called the pitches and coach Looper coached 3rd base. While our other coach helped out where was neeed. I guess you not a parent and could not relate. What i would do if i were you is get a life and quit bashing coaches and promoting your friends. I like coach Mid as much as anybody. BTW i would have loved to see us play today and i understand both sides of it. I guess our coaches thought we would be better off resting up for the big week ahead. Congrats to Oakland for winning it.
