Alrite, I just want to talk about the mentality thing he said. I play piano, i have friends that play guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, flute, etc. Instruments become almost a second nature once you get good at them for the first thing.
And try playing tennis. You have from the time that serve is hit at you (goin 120 mph if you play southern USTA tournaments or against some of the D2 teams) and you have a split second to decide what kind of shot to hit, where to hit, and you have to get in position. It is like that for every single shot. In football you have 11 200 pound guys coming that want to physically hurt you and you have to make a decision with that pressure. In soccer you have the other team that would like more than anything to get around a foul and bring you down to win that game. In basketball they run so many plays that its ridiculous AND you have 5 6 foot tall people trying to stop those plays. I could go on and on, the only sports that dont require as much mentality i guess you could say is cross country and running because it slows you down to think to much haha.
So tell me that band requires more mentality than all of that.
