  1. MCHSCoachT, a helpful hint for you. If you delete games before you reach the 6 game limit you can keep on using turbo stats trial as long as you want. The downside is that there are several options not available on free version that are on "purchased" version that are invaluable when keeping stats (i.e. the enter lineup as player bats, which is great when you don't have a lineup). This software can be frustrating unless you are already familiar with scorebook keeping. Once you get the hang of it (which may take more than 6 games) you will be happy with this product.

Offense did look good tonight. Tucker and Smith didn't get on, but Tucker called out three times for making contact outside the box(two times she wasn't even close to being outside the box) and Smith crushed the ball twice deep only to be a long out) Offense was in the zone, this one could have been a much. much more lopsided victory for JCHS. Helton threw a whale of a game, gained a lot confidence last night. She will not overpower anybody, but I have three words for you . Location, Location, Location. Hit her spots extremely well, keeping Greeneville off balance all night. Keep in mind this is a much improved Greeneville team from last year, they played good defense and pitching was pretty good, JCHS just on it last night. Lets hope our Lady Pats keep rollin'. Off to West Thursday, this should be a classic.

I don't know about the article, I think Cocke County played Sevierville last night. JCHS played Seymore and won 3-1. JCHS put on a show tonight, beat Greeneville 8-1 and could have been worse. JCHS threw senior Helton. JCHS was hitting on all cylinders tonight, hit the ball, and played excellent defense.

    IMAC 2008

Greeneville vs JCHS should start to separate the contenders from the pretenders tonight. Greeneville much improved from last year. West should be on cruise control with Cocke County. After tonights game with Greeneville and Thursday nights trip to Mo' town, who will be on top and who will be in the middle of the pack should be evident. Predict low scoring affair tonight at JCHS with the mighty Patriots prevailing. M. West will quit scoring when they want to tonight, may be ugly early. Lance! Still no predictions? JC#1fan 1-0 with last nights prognastication! go JCHS!!!

JCHS beats Seymore 3-1. Hill on mound looked pretty good after first inning. Offense hit the ball, but not as consistant as last week. Only run given up reached on and scored on errors in first. Defense and pitching settled down after first to put it a way(Hill complete game 1 hitter I think). Greeneville tommorow night to start IMAC for JC. Congrats M. East!!!!!!

    IMAC 2008

Tough pick, but I'll have to go with East's offense, everything else pretty even. East beat university pretty good and Cherokee lost to Rutledge, but University is no Rutledge. May be the best game in Tennessee tonight. Cherokee looking to right the ship and East riding high off win. We should find out who is the IMAC favorite tonight!

Don't know when they will find time to make it up! Coach M has loaded up the schedule this year. They play Monday(Seymor), Tuesday(Greeneville), Thursday(M.West), and then go to Soddy Daisy tourney Friday and Saturday. I think they are hosting Greeneville not Cocke County Tuesday. Cocke County Apr. 1

Haven't heard anything about East's game. I believe they agreed to continue from where they were. i think you are right about the continuation rule.

JCHS down 2-0 to William Blount, starting the bottom of third, then came the rain. Hill on the mound for JCHS struggled first inning, but got through it. Throwin the heat in second and third, that great defense fell apart, 6 errors to give up the two runs. TO BE CONTINUED!!!!!!!! P.S. Don't know when.
  10. Starting 2 freshman, 3 sophmores, 2 juniors, and 2 seniors JCHS is a very young team. With their "starting" 9 on the field (rotating a freshman and sophmore pitcher)they have only given up 3 runs (2 earned) against teams including Farragut, Seymore, William Blount, and Maryville. Its early and alot of games to still be played, but looks good this early in the season against good competition.
  11. I have been using Turbo stats for years. It is a little complicated at first, but nothing outperforms the amount data you can accumulate and the amount of stats you can print for each player. Some programs like ballstat easier to use, but in my book its Turbo stats all the way.

Never could understand how Greeneville little league always seems to have a temporary fence up on that field during tournaments and the high school can't get one put up for their games. Still way early , but JCHS and East already the only ones without a loss in season record. Its going to be a bumpy ride this year. Lance. Why no predictions for the rest of the IMAC today? JCHS rolled tonight with several "starters" not in the game or in different positions. Potts(senior short stop out), Hyde(starting catcher played SS tonight), Hill(sophmore pitcher from last year out), Smith(starting right field out), West (first base from last year out) tonight. Dukes(freshman catcher looked good in place of Hyde), freshman pitcher(Leon) throwing smoke. Seymor is a talented team with excellent coaching and Lady Pats just overpowered them(they will get their chance for revenge Monday at JCHS). William Blount tommorow night will be a tough test. Govs allways loaded. I expect the "regulars" to be back in their positions Friday. Cherokee loss to Rutledge nothing to be ashamed about, Pioneers have talent. This season is unfolding to be a great one, IMAC games will be exciting almost every game.

JCHS beats Seymor 8-2. Pitched Leon(freshman) whole game. Patriots led 8-0 till bottom of 7th when lead off reached on a single stole second and then batter hit home run. Lady Pats looked good on defense and hit the ball hard. Duckies no more. Swans are spreadin their wings. JV won 7-5, were down 5-0 then started hitting to come back. GO LADY PATS!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Turbo Stats is best it will solve all your problems, holds more data and prints more stats.

Don't know if West is being suspended from play due to missing games or not, but Why Heather West(last years first baseman) is not on one of the "hot" corners is a question everybody is asking(soft hands and a cannon for a arm, should replace the loss of last years senior third baseman). Haley Nelson has moved to the infield(2nd), Haley Taylor a very talented freshman took Nelson's place in center. King, if you were at the Carter scrimmage you know were Hill was. The old saying is that speed kills and if that is the case JCHS's gun is loaded. Tucker(red head), Smith, Leon, Nelson, and Taylor(probably the fastest on the team) are extremely fast. If you have seen Nelson run and consider that Taylor is as fast or faster, you know this team is faaaaaaast!
  16. I was hoping someone would try and answer this question instead of dodging it so I could ask the real question. How many faculty coached have taught the girls how to throw, run, field, hit, or any other fundamental of the game and then went to state? A: 0. Faculty coaches get the benefit of athletes that have already been "trained". Question is not what percentage of faculty coaches to non-faculty coaches went to the "boro", but what travel team did the girls play for in the off season. I guarantee everybody on this post will recognize the names of the teams they play for in the summer. This horse is dead, you can't anything else out of it by beating on it anymore. In a dream world all teachers would be great coaches and all coaches would be great teachers, but hey we live in Tennesse(the real world).
  17. The most valid question asked in this post yet. Does anyone know the answer?

Sophmore is Hill, She pitched against Farragut earlier in the pre=season. Went 6 innings against early season D2-AAA favorite Farragut. Gave up one run in bottom of sixth on hit batsman and two consecutive errors by third baseperson. I think 8 Ks no walks and 1 hit batter. Rumored to return this week, was throwing just as good as last year, if not better. Looks like her and Leon (freshman) will rotate simular to Cherokee's rotation last year, both look excellent this pre-season. Exspecially with defense that is behind them. Don't think JCHS will give up a lot of runs this year. Like last year they have to prove they can score.

Good to see you back I am King. wait a minute You are King, No I am King. Anyway Leon is a great addition for JCHS. With her as a freshman and Hill as a sophmore the pitching rotation looks good for the next few years. I heard there were several good pitchers coming up in the next few years for JCHS also.

I know her name others may not, simply refering to her by class because of earlier post asking about JCHS's pitching from senior to freshman. I have referred to her by name before. For clarity senior: Mindy Helton, junior: Ashley Earl, sophmore Tori Hill, freshman: Whitney Leon. I think they have another freshman: Tabitha Walker, but haven't seen her throw in a game yet. I hope this is to your satisfaction dzbettin.
  23. 03-04 were the hot ones(black and red) 05 was the first year after ASA told Rocket tech to calm them down. 07 bats were decent, but don't know anyone swinging the 08. Looking to buy a new one and just wanted some input about the 08. Thanks for your reply to the post.

    IMAC 2008

JCHS scrimmages Carter today. Idle this weekend. JCHS vs Carter: JCHS threw junior pitcher 5 innings and freshman pitcher 2 innings. Helton (senior) and Hill(sophmore) pitchers unavailable JCHS wins 5-2. Both runs scored by Carter given up to errors while junior pitcher was on the mound. Hill and Leon only given up 3 runs so far. Hill 1 (unearned) vs. Farragut. Leon 2 vs JCMS middle school in scrimmage(1 unearned 1 earned). Jeff still hitting the ball and defense is sharp. Come on guys How is the rest of the IMAC doing, surely JCHS isn't the only ones playing ball! How did Cherokee and Greeneville do in the Johnson city tournament??
  25. Does anyone have a comparison between the 2008 Rocket Tech FP and the older versions i.e. 2005 and 2004 FP models. I have always thought the 2004 Rocket tech FP to be the hottest fast pitch bat ever made and know girls who swing the 2005 model and they are probably #2 on my list, but I haven't heard from or know anyone that can compare the earlier versions to the 2008, Any info would be appreciated.
