I was watching practice today and seen alot of fire in the team. Something I havent seen in a couple of years. This bunch of young men seam to be on a mission. Guys keep up the great work . To the seniors this is your last year of football , make to best of it and dont have any regrets. I seen some serious head banging today from the line as well as the backs. nothing like the feeling of dominating your opponent even if its a team mate. Some of my hardest licks came from my team when I played. It just makes you a tougher player and also raises the comrodery in the dog pound. All I can say is SPEED KILLS, and our backs are pretty darn fast, our line will make sure the holes are there . If everyone keeps doing their job the way they are in practice we could be a handfull. Go dawgs

Someone told me that we had problems containing the outside because we had week corners. I heard we hadnt practiced D this week. That always seems to happen though more practice on O and not much on D or special teams. Its just the first week of spring practice though alot of time to work on that I guess. Im glad we did pretty good against a couple of much larger schools, it looks like we have alot to look forward to this year. Keep working hard dogs and stay in the weight room this summer. GOOD JOB DOGS!!!!

Well how did the dogs do tonight against mo east and volunteer.

He practiced for about 2 weeks and quit.

I cant believe I missed Coty. He is a great kid and a very hard worker. He will bring alot to the table next year also.

I know the Edwards kid was one ineligable, who was the other?

That would be Lucas Teague, and yes he is back next year.

I can think of several more names also, like Adam Taylor, Lucas Teague, Taylor Ewards, Bret Price, Justin Adkins, Tyler Trussler, and I am sure that I am missing more but these are the ones that stick out. I think the Edwards kid will help us tremendously on defence at linebacker also.

We will have the entire line back next year. I think Logan Andrews will have the year of his life next year, due to the situation surounding the absence of his dad (long story) he will be playing with alot of anger and emotion. Cody Madden will also bring alot to the table next year as well as Logan Shell and Johnathan Nicoles. The entire team needs to hit the weight room and on a consistant basis. If they work in the off season ( and if the coaches will help them in the off season and push them) they will be a force to be reconed with next year. A great line will make good backs great. If you guys work in the weight room as a team you will get stronger faster and have better comradery on the field. Work togeather, bleed togeather, and you will win as a team. I look forward to next season because I know you guys will make us all proud.

Bret will be the quaterback. As for the backup Q/B no clue right now, but I dont think Dylan will risk losing his basketball season due to an injury ( I couldn't blame him because that is his sport ) . As for running back It will be Adam Taylor( he has paid his dues for 3 yrs. ). The fullbacks will more than likely be Lucas Teague and Taylor Edwards. This combination could be reminanisant of the 1996 backs B.J. Taylor ( Adams Taylors Uncle) Davenport, and Mark Watson. Probably not as explosive, but if the line hits the weight room next years team could be pretty competitive.

If they dont they are stupid, but I believe the coaches will start working on their special teams now. Happy Valley will test our passing defence more than anyone has I believe. If the line doesnt get any pressure on the quarterback we could come out of this one looking bad also. Men you better be working on your pass coverage.

I just hope that the coaches understand special teams lost this game for them, and start working on them alot more. The fake punt just put the nail in the coffin. I believe that the young men they are coaching are trying very hard, but I think some of them have lost their desire, drive or heart. They need to put this behind them and find their fire again. I dont think they need to be beat down, they need to be picked up.

Hampton got out coached on special teams. They dont practice special teams but about 5 mins on thursdays before the games, and they didnt even go over them this thursday at all !!! I over heard Mr. Lunsford cussing the boys in behind the line for not getting on the ball, instead of telling the line to block someone so they could get on the ball. He didnt even move the players into position on the kickoffs. Cosby didnt even conceal the onside kicks! So why not move them over?? Cosby was getting to the ball faster than Hamptons players could. That was the best placed onside kicks with consistancy I have seen. Everyone seen how good our onside kicking game was /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> . Alot of practice went into that kick /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" . On defence, the backs were making all the tackles. Where was the line? If the backs have to make all the tackles we will lose. I watched one of our smallest backs make tackles that our biggest linemen was letting go. Altough I am glad our smallest players are doing a great job, we cant let the backs do all the work. The linemen are going to have to step up. I am proud of my team no matter what, but that dont mean I cant be disapointed in their effort. They layed down in the second half. (the whole team thought the game was won,even the coaches at half time) Men dont let this be the way you go out this year, with a less than half effort. Please fight back and win these last two games, and act like you care.

This game will probably determine 1st and 2nd place. I hope the dogs come out on fire from start to finish, because I think thats what it will take from here on out. Your probably right . I forgot about the bye week. It will give the dogs a little more time to prepare for Cosby, and heal up also. This one is going to be a slobber knocker. Cosby always plays Hampton tuff, but I think if the dogs come with the same intensity they had against Grace this could be their best game so far. They need to practice hard the next 2 weeks, and come out with a vengence. I know that the bulldogs were a little thin due to injuries and sickness Friday night, but they did not prepare for Unaka like they should have this week. I hope the coaches get them back to business this week, and practice the way they need to play against West Green. We cant overlook anyone this year, and they need to play alot smarter than we have been also. Grace /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Christian /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Academy to be commended I think the coaching staff at Grace Christian Academy needs to be commended for what they stand for in Friday night's 60-21 win over Oakdale. Forget that Grace had more than twice as many players as Oakdale or that they had the game well in hand in the third quarter, the Grace coaches stood up for those players that had to sit out and entire season last year and allowed them to show their stuff in the final minutes of the game. I stand up and applaud them. Will anybody else applaud them for standing up for their players and doing the right thing? I hope Luke Blackmon is back for us before West Green. He sprained his ankle pretty badly against Unicoi in the last few minuets of the game. He has been a large factor in our success lately. Someone will have to step up for him this friday night. Get well soon Luke.

I hate to hear that. I dont like to see any kid get injured and be out for the season. Football doesnt last enough anyway IMO. I hope they get well soon. Who got hurt anyway?

I am 95% sure it is their first 11 man game ever.
