  1. If I remember right Central took it to Dobbins last year at DB on there own field but yet finished 4-6 I believe. J. Saah will bring a needed boost to Central but if they get bit by the injury bug with just one or two key players they will be done.
  2. The bobcats will have a tough time. 3-7 will most likely be where they land. Jock Stinson word is was kicked off team after 3 practices, styles is gone (not that he was that great or did anything that great), and mcmillan is hurt again and has not been practicing. The biggest draw back is from top to bottom the coaching staff is weak and has gotten worse the last three years. Central will perhaps be able to compete again one day when all the coaches kids are gone and those that pay so their kids can play regardless of the talent.
  3. Maryville is the holy grail of football and no one else comes close. The Maryville players know this and they laugh at all other schools who carry their cleats and bags for them to the locker room. Douglas is better than most players in college now and will destroy all high school players who dare stand in his path. Burnette will light up the sky with TD pass after TD pass and no defense will dare lay a finger on his golden locks for he and Maryville are the Hercules of football in the State of Tennessee and all others beg at their feet for a sup of water.
  4. Sorry Leanord, I have to disagree with you on the running game. Centrals J. Wilson will be one of the best in the state if he stays healthy and Central has a couple of players that play fullback and they can pound. The problem with Central is that a few of the players that I will not name because some people have obvious biases "pigskinrules" have not gotten the exposure of others because of playing behind great players in those respective positions. I wouldn't be so quick to give Fulton the edge on defense, Central will have tough defense that I believe will hold Maryville in check if they play the best players. You are correct about wide receivers although Central has a couple of good ones and a couple that will grow quick I would give that edge to Fulton for now.
  5. how will jc do against Central this year in their annual scrimmage and what questions will they be looking to answer, I don't know much about the team so I am just asking?
  6. "FultonPride" If fulton is so tough why don't you call Buck up and have him schedule a game against Central they would be more than happy to drive 3 miles to the hill instead of 190 miles to play outside of Nashville. Fulton won't even scrimmage, Central has to go 45 miles to Jeff County. I do hope the two players who were injured in the passing league are doing great and will be able to participate this year. Truth is that Fulton does not want to and will not schedule a game with Central period.
  7. I'm not sure what your smokin "pigskinrules" on what do base your tastless comment. I have seen the kid play and I saw him play last year with a torn hamstring against West and he shoved the lead blocker back 5 yards and tackled the runner for a 5 yard loss on a 4th &1, I also seen him bury Sterling(Farragut) in the dirt last year.. C. Wilson is plenty tough at 6'-208 he can go toe to toe with anyone. I don't see Jaime playing that much D with Saah hurt he will have plenty of action carrying the ball. Calling out a single player like that sounds like he may have burried you in the dirt a time or two.
  8. Central seems to be on top of things with defense & skills position (Styles, J. Wilson, C. Wilson, Jarvis, Bridges, McMillan C. & W., Hanson, Xiques) to name a few, but how will line play be this year and will the offense have time. Anyone know about or can comment with first hand knowledge on the O-Line at Central.
  9. Chris Wilson of Knox Central is a tough kid, quick to the ball and is a hard hitter, watch for him to make an impact.
