  1. I agree, both pitchers did their job but Kee just couldn't get the support that the Mustangs had behind Burke. And if it were not for the errors, the game could have went extra innings. Kee took the loss, his second of the season and his first in almost two months. He struck out seven, gave up eight hits, walked two and hit one batter. ( i won't mention how sorry the umpire behind the plate was and how this person never calls in mckenzie's favor and hasn't in 4 years. i think he doesn't like us or something) Go figure. Burke had good command of his three pitches. Kept the Rebel hitters off kilter. He gave up seven hits, struck out three and walked one and hit one batter. Two errors for the Rebels in successive innings resulted in two runs. (that alone would have made a tie ballgame) Couple that with the fact that the Rebels had a runner thrown out at the plate and at third and two errors in the second frame put a runner (who eventutally scored) on third base. And there were other errors that will not go in the books. We absolutely shot ourselves in the foot. Ok Rebels let's bounce back and carry our series with Huntington to 3 games.
  2. Rebels play at 7 pm at Huntingdon tonight.
  3. Congratulations to Blake also and Bethel looks to be reinforcing it's pitching staff. I hear they signed Billy Keck on Saturday. I pray for both the Rebels and the Mustangs to have an injury free ballgame tonight with good outings for both pitchers. You almost have to root for both. They will be on the same team the next four years. Go Rebels !
  4. Kee signs with Bethel College on Monday. Bethel looks to be putting together a good team from the local towns.
  5. Clint Kee signs with Bethel College to play baseball tommorow at 11 am. Congratulations Clint ! Go get em Rebels ! All the Way to State !
  6. Ya'll need to quit. Sorry I said anything about him. I said I wasn't going to even get on here this year because 90% of it is about people who know nothing about what they are talking about and just looking to run someone down. Blue & Gold..how about you stay over on the Huntingdon pages and we will stay on the Mckenzie pages. I personally, probably won't be back on here. Ya'll can all have at it. Good Luck to all the teams in our district. See Ya
  7. The Rebels are off to a prety good start after the tournaments where they put out 2 AA teams in the Sports Plus Tourney (Ripley and Southside). and qualified for a co-championship title which will be played on the 16th. (rained out). Also they placed 2nd in the Big Red Classic at Lexington and almost beat Lexinton with a loss of 7 to 5. We are 9-4 for the season. We got a District Win yesterday against West Carroll and The McKenzie Rebels have won four straight and senior pitcher Clint Kee is proving to be a mysterious entity to opposing hitters. Kee ran his record to 4-0 by striking out 12 West Carroll batters Monday afternoon in Atwood as McKenzie claimed an 8-0 victory. Kee has fanned 47 batters in his four starts this year. He allowed just two hits and walked one. Our bats are starting to wake up and our chances are looking up to be a contender in the playoffs this year. We will only get better I beleive. Bethel was at the West Carrol game to watch Kee and said he was hitting 85 and 84. He has proven to be able to keep the batters confused and is really coming into his own at the start of the season. Actually all of our pitchers are doing well. We have a good stock behind Kee with Jones, Chappel and Holt. We have the pitching if we can just keep up the defense and our batting which I beleive will only improve as we go. We are starting to gell as a team and I have high hopes for this class of seniors. It could even possibly be another run to the boro. We will see. Good Luck Rebels !
  8. Everybody has a bad day at some point. Still finished second in district behind Huntingdon and was just one game away from State. Your going to see a much different team hit the field this year. Oh yeah and the Scott's Hill game. We had players missing from the roster and we had a freshman pitching.
  9. McKenzie is loaded with some solid pitching. Kee, Jones, Holt, Chappel, Carr. Should be a great year. Clint Kee is being looked at by several colleges in the area and some out of state. Union, Freed-Hard, Trevecca, Louiville, Murray, Bethel, and MTSU. We will see.
  10. The Rebels are on a mission this year. I believe it will definitely be a good run this year. They have the talent, now we will just see if the coaching is there.
  11. McKenzie looks to be very strong this year. Lookout.
