  1. I took that as more of a warning to other schools in the county, than anything particular about Signal. It's the same line that's been used for several days.

McClendon has attended five high schools in four years, going to Hixson, Brainerd, Howard and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe before coming to Signal Mountain for his senior year.........

  2. Guys I was watching FOX 61 tonight "The Fifth Quarter" it came on at 10:30. They were talking about the SM situation and had an interview with Childress. The entire interview can be viewed (listened too) on FOX 61 website. Now from what I got out of it you guys are totally on the wrong issue. Childress said rumors had pointed TSSAA at SM because of a assistant coach from LFO had recently took a job at SM and had RECRUITED (he actually said) the kid in question. The part of the interview I heard, mentioned absolutely nothing about what you guys are talking about, TSSAA main focus seemed to be on the recruitment of this kid by an ex-LFO assistant. With everything you guys are argueing answer me one question- If the kid played all year at LFO I would not think it would matter because that is not a TSSAA school and they would have no jurisdiction over the athletes of a Georgia school and as that goes this would have been the first athletic record he would have had with SM in the state of Tennessee. RIGHT OR WRONG Not sure the that SM wants to stir much more up because it sounded like TSSAA gave a minor reason but has much more behind it not to mention he was asked about TSSAA looking into more than this one case both present and past.

Seem s to be a LFO thing..........seen it before!!!

  3. The perceived weaker links have to be Bradley's defense, versis Ooltewah's offense.

Most Owl backers seem to talk about the strength of their team being the defense, while Bradley is making names for itself on offense.

Will this game depend on which of the less heralded units performs best?

Owls D will have there hands full Friday night for sure!!! BC is fo real.....Ool offense needs to do something and take some pressure off of them!!!!!!

  4. Been to all the owls gamessss except 1 this year and number 6 is not close to the same level as 12. I read in the paper where 12 is averaging 240 a game and number 6 threw for 30 yards last night against a pitiful team. I have been told 12 will be back next week for the showdown at soddy.

#6 is smartter and has a better arm and makes better decisions as a QB BUT #12 can take a lick and keep on ticking from missed blocks etc, #6 is the man fo sho!!!!

  5. Well we could not shut the run down, they came out in a Spread Offense, threw a post on their 1st play. They surprised us by passing so much, but most of the passes ended up with all 4 recievers going long, then the QB running the ball. They finally went to the Wing-T when they went up 2 TD;s, but Yellow flags and T/O did them end.

I bet they did have ya ll confused coming out in the spread...........congrats on the win!!!

  6. Binder should've had 3-4 passing tds tonight or more.

Binder is the man fo sho!!!!!!!!!! Still should ve put up alot more points on offense, defense is got it locked down as usual for the Owls!!!!! Whens the next home game???? Whoever did the schedule should be beat for this many away games in a row....

  7. Owls have to learn to put teams away when they have the chance. Last game they had their foot on the other teams neck and let them up. Don't leave it up to the refs to play that role of king maker. Defense after a great start to the year has lost some of its edge. They are not doing enough in their strategy to make the other teams change theirs. I think the team needs something to shake things up. They seem a little bored and stressed. The game is fun and practices should have both tough hard core coaching and team building exercises.

I know winning cures most ills on teams. I like the Owls in this one.

    i agree 100%

  8. I don't think there is a chance that we score that much. Stephens, the QB was ejected late in the game last week so rumor is he will not be able to play for this game (possibly the next). That leaves us with our inexperienced backup, Binder. Who surely hasn't impressed me in the games he has appeared in.

Binder is a better QB than Bradley IMO..........he s the real deal but he young but he can make the throws from what i ve senn so far, anyway i thought Bradley was gonna be out for 2 games but i have nt heard anything for sure yet???? Why has nt the big RB geting any carries lately (was hyped up as the next Earl Campbell to me) but have nt got to see in get too much action yet. Go OWLS......how s the poor little kid who got de cleated for Ooltewah in 1st qtr lastweek???

  9. First of all dipstick....I was having some fun with Tribe because,he asked for some Owl fans to cut up with.

2nd of all,do you really think Owl fans are trashy and REDNECK,I mean really? This coming from a Mcminn fan :roflol: If any of you guys can sleep tonight thinking YOUR REFs didn't give ya'll that game tonight....then your as dumb as most of your posts.

7 penalities in 1:15 sec,all which were 15 yds a piece..HHmmm?Right after our punter put it on the 1 foot line,I almost NEVER,EVER say this, but if that wasn't the most horrible example of HOME-COOKING,that I've ever seen!!...and since you don't know me,I call it like,I see it,whether Ooltewah wins or loses.Ask anyone that knows me......so listen carefully,Mcminn as a decent team, but the refs gave ya'll that game,PERIOD.and your right a couple of our boys(not the whole team)did embarass Ooltewah tonight.,.but alot of others showed alot of class.GO OOLTEWAH!!!!

    Ol DIPSTICK!!!!!!!!! ha ha

  10. This quote was about typical of many redneck trashy Ooltewah fans tonight at the game. And it seemed to rub off on the players. Go home and lick your wounds!

I know you didnt just call somebody redneck from Ooltewah  after walking around that place and seeing what i saw LOL!!!!! Now i will say that the McMinn team is alot better than i thought and are scrappy bunch of kids and have a hearts of champions!!!! The RB s are legit and they play alot bigger than they are so KUDO S to MACMINN ha ha.....but the ref s decided this game with SOME of the calls tonight, not all, but some were legit with the kids running there mouths(from what i figured but not sure) and Ooltewah played a heck of a game as well!! Owls defense played well as usual but offense cant score as usual and it put s alot of pressure on the D and special teams. Good job Owls!!!!!!! BTW BlitznDuck were you sitting on Ooltewah side ha ha cause i saw you

  11. ........Did nt play anybody til Siegal but thats ok there good for Chattanooga and that s it. I love the defensive scheme as always but the throwing crap has got to stop all the time and start running the ball up the middle and mix it up besides throwing over the middle and getting one of the best players on both sides of ball KILEED every other play. Offense can score alot more if they were nt so predictable. Good luck Ooltewah, keep us updated tomm night if possible!!!!!!!!! Ref s will be a big problem tomm as always. For those who KNOW THE SCORES FOR SURE will you go gambling with me in Vegas.

  12. McMinn showed last week that they have the potential to compete with teams that have more size. Farragut out weighed our lineman by an average of 40 lbs. and we limited there powerful running attack and were able to throw the ball vertical.

Again this week McMinn will face a line that is bigger then they are. So the question is can McMinn establish some sort of running game to balance out the passing game?

    Keys to a McMinn win:

    Protect the pocket

    NO special team mistakes

    Throw early and often

    GO TRIBE!!!

Is everybody a midget on the team up there..........gotta be if your smaller than Owls line. They ve got normal size kids but nothing like Farragut.

  13. Offense is awful for the Owls and the Raiders!!!!!!!! The big V didnt impress me tonight but i can tell he s a stud!! Ooltewah s D coaches need someone to buy there dinner for the rest of the year after that display of great defensive coaching job against one the best QB s n the country......ref s were the worst i ve ever seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen in my life!!

  14. Allen is the answer fo sho lol............he a good coach when he s got a good team just like any other coach!!! The key to Centrals success will be how many kids they ve stole from Ooltewah!!!!! East Hamilton by 6 because there more discilplined and better coached........Allen will lose by running the same offense he s ran for 50 yrs that dont work(except 1yr @ LFO) and he hasnt had time to get the kids to beleive in him or his offense!! Now defensively Allen is a mastermind!!!! Gatewood will out coach the Purple Pounders!!

  15. What is up with our band this year? They no longer play music but spend all their time trying to make the trampolines look like something normal for a marching band. I think someone has been over doing the caffeine during the off-season. I would love to see our band get back to playing music and showing off their musical talents.

I predict a split Friday night. Owls football team wins with defense and the Cleveland Blue Raider band wins with playing music.

Trampolines are the worst idea i ve ever seen for a BAND..... kinda makes me wonder if i ve heard them play anything besides Rocky Top in 2 yrs.I know what the band is responsible for BUT play some music and keep us X-Band members/football fans fired up!!!! Cleveland will be tough to stop in the air all night long!!! DB s gonna get a work tomm!! In saying that i really do think the Ooltewah band is VERY VERY good while there playing at half just cut out the dog and pony show!!

  16. Omg,is this food network or football thread? Owls will dominate the raiders.Ooltewah has scored 85 pts..opp.haved scored 13.Raiders cant score and they cant stop anybody.Truth hurts.Cleveland might have a qb that throw a football in practice, but couldnt do it in the jamboree or first 2 games.Owls score at will and defense stops everybody.

    owls 21-0 maybe 31-7

Ha ha ha.........you can tell who s in the band!!!!! As a former band geek myself it s not hard to spot your own!!
