  1. I see a big upset by Blackman here. Blackman is very underrated as 2 of their 3 losses have come against Smyrna and Riverdale by only 13 apiece. Blackman has one of the top defenses in the district. I say Blackman wins if they pound the ball with Justin Bowers, get DeShaun Smith out in the open field, and Mauricio Wallace uses his god-gifted speed with an occassional 10 yard pass to the wide receivers. Prediction Blackman 28 Wilson Central 20
  2. I have never said Blackman had great coaching..never.. And Wallace can throw the ball vertically if he takes a 4 step drop and gets rid of it. I don't want to blame the coaches. It's the coaches fault. One busted screen play and they're not going to call another all night. The coaches need to tell Wallace to read who is on Daniel Colbert and if there is a safety back or not. Big plays beat teams like Riverdale and Smyrna. Not 3rd and 9 draw plays.
  3. 3rd and 9 draw play? Sick of the coaching. Sick of it. Let's just let Daniel Colbert get one on one coverage over a 5 6 corner all night with 8 men in the box and not take some chances down the field. Don't do it. Maybe it will be a incomplete pass for the grand total of 0 yards on the play.
  4. I don't agree with the fact that Blackman coaches have done a terrific job. During preseason scrimmages Blackman experimented with a few more power formations in which the Blackman offense ran efficiently. I am by no means the coach, and I have no clue how consistent that offense was during that short period, however running a spread formation throughout the entirety of the Riverdale game was not so smart..Seeing as Wallace doesn't have the strongest arm. To move the chains against a defense much faster than your team, you must have a quarterback that has arm strength, or line up I formation and pound the ball down the gut. I am by no means saying Wallace is a bad Quarterback. He is a fine quarterback that gets the job done and makes smart reads. Blackman coaches have done a fine job this year. I just don't understand the way they gameplan. Wallace is fast, but he's not unstoppable by any means.
  5. Something that blows my mind is how well Justin Bowers was doing tonight. But they only gave him 5 or so carries.
  6. How on earth do you say they've taken steps backwards..?
  7. The other Smith didn't like the coaches so he moved back to Georgia. The kid coulda been a STUD on the basketball team too.
  8. Yes. This is the fastest secondary Blackman has ever had.
  9. Justin Martin is a decent DB from what I've heard. Sophomore Tyrek Collier is an excellent safety. Blackman's strong point on defense however is most definitely the linebackers.
  10. Yeah the running back STARTED at point as a freshman last year. The second kid you mentioned, Dajuan Brown, is also a sophomore that plays a lil WR but they're trying him at LB.The third guy you mentioned (the guard) is another sophomore, Tyrek Collier and he plays QB and occasional Tailback. The fourth guy you mentioned, Brock Smith, is a senior that will be starting at DE. The Running Back has good grades btw..he's not a head case. The quick sophomore in the video however is not the starting running back. The starting running back is a kid named Justin Bowers that is very talented in Baseball, Basketball, and Football. He's taking basketball season off this year however. He's a freak at running back.
