  1. Can anyone give a list of the State Champs from these years?
  2. "20 pts is not necessarily an insurmountable lead, with 2:30 mins left in a game. That's only 7 possessions..." I was not at the game...nor do I claim to know much about basketball. I also agree that you play until the horn. However, I would like to know if a team (in the TSSAA State Tourn.) has ever been down 20 with 2:30 left and completed the comeback.
  3. Was this game tonight? If so, anyone have a score?
  4. As a player I have played against Lookout Valley, and coach Dinger, and as a fan I have watched them play. From what I have experienced, and observed, coach Dinger always has the boys from the valley ready to play. They do the little things right and play with a respect for the game, something everyone can appreciate. Do that tomorrow and make the region proud!
  5. I attended the Grace vs. David Brainerd game tonight. Both teams played hard. They really showed a great amount of desire and heart. Sporting events, like this one, often bring the best out of student athletes. However, they may also bring out the worst in these athletes. Unfortunately, tonight I noticed something much more disappointing. I witnessed a coach looking to bring the worst out of a player. I would assume the player to be around 18 years old, and the coach around 40. Being around sports my whole life, I would expect an immature high schooler to get caught up in the heat of the moment. But, the coach should be able to show a little maturaty and class. On a more positive note...congratulations on the good seasons by both teams. David Brainerd continued to surprise fans and opponents throughout the year, and Grace seemed to turn it on at the right time.
  6. Somebody give Keebler2 some respect. Actually, I'm not going to wait for anyone else to do it...for fear of having to read about it anymore. Congratulations. You beat Grace. That means you are now a good, quality, established team/program.
  7. Good job Grace. It's tough to win on 3rd street. I must say, however, CSAS didn't have Hampton. He's a difference maker. Everyone played hard though. Good job both teams and hopefully there will be a third meeting...maybe, but not likely, even a fourth.
  8. It's hard to say that it is a game between Jurick and Carter. They play two completely different styles. Should be a fun one to watch.
  9. Grace beat CSAS 2 out of 3 last year (if I'm not mistaken), and beat Temple 4 out of 5 the year before that.
  10. He was also 0 for however many shots he took. He did, however, give Carter the assists to at least 4 or 5 of his 8 blocks. But I know, I know...who won?
  11. I don't know if I would go as far as to say "over".
  12. I had not seen Hampton until tonight at Grace. He looked really tough...21 I think. McMasters also played well against another big guy. Finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks.
  13. Oh how disappointed I was when I read this and realized somebody else had already responded. GGE, I agree with you completely! Every time CSAS would send the ball to their post player I almost felt sorry for him. Carter changes a game in so many ways. Here's the line from the chattanoogan.com article,"McMasters finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks." A little more than 'not much'. Now time to give props to the boys from 3rd St. I thought they looked really tough...shot extremely well from deep. I was suprised they didn't hold the ball more in the second half...but they had a big enough cushion to do just about whatever they wanted. Good win for the boys and Coach Dragoo.
  14. DoesEnt...do you go to CSAS?
  15. the best scorer...which is kind of scarey for grace with two guys over 6'8" on the court.
