There is a slight difference between practice and the lights being on Friday night. But I agree the physicality level needs to be raised.

#7 is on the field because he is an athlete and has the potential to make plays. Yes he is a little nervous because this is really his first year playing and the nerves will leave with more experience and the physicality will develop.

Logan Wannamaker and Ethan Turner are also starting freshman for WC. Both were impressive throughout the pre-season and had an impact on the WC win at DeKalb. Both are lineman. Look forward to seeing them play for the next 4 years.

You didn't hear from me...because unlike you...I don't get on your threads and run my fingers. The playoffs are a different animal. Sounds like this game went like our game with you. You have to take care of the ball in playoff games. If you don't...you get beat. You have to take care of the ball in any game. It doesn't matter is its a preseason scrimmage or a playoff game. If you turn the ball over that many times you can't expect to win. I think everyone knows that.

York is playing great football at the right time. It should be a very good game. If Sequatchie can eliminate the turnovers and play their game they will have a chance to win. Good luck to both teams.

Does Dekalb being a 4a school effect the seeding at all between Smith and Cannon in the playoffs?

If a bunch of proud parents and excited CC fans is considered being classless....then so be it. The game was a good, hard hitting game. With players tackling each other and the helping each other up off the turf. We deserve to be excited....and if that means we are classless, we'll take that too.

The rain is supposed to come in the morning. Should be cleared out by game time.

Don't forget that Cannon would still have to beat Upperman, and Dekalb would need to win out in the district as well for there to be a 3 way tie.

If i understand correctly, i think Cannon only has to beat Upperman to get to the playoffs. Which seems to be very possible considering how down they are this year.

Everyone knows what Cannon has been in the past. So having a 4-3 record and having a shot at winning the district and making the playoffs is moving in a positive direction.

Cannon has been improving for a few years now. I know that they haven't been making the playoffs or contending for a district championship, but it takes time. Cannon is headed in the right direction and i hope to see them continue. Smith Co. is consistent every year and is a good team every year. And are always at the top of the district and in the playoffs.

If Scott Co. has trouble defending the pass, this might be the game for Cannon's offense to get on track. I expect their defense to come to play, as usual. I think the lions have a lot of momentum coming into this game. I expect the lions to win this one.

If you think SC is in a cupcake district, you should look at district 7.

Im not knocking our qb. I know him actually and he is a great athlete and is becoming a great qb. When balls like that are thrown there is usually a miscommunication between the receivers and the qb. Im Pretty sure thats what happened. It happens to every qb who ever plays the game.

If you actually read my whole post, I said that it was still impressive no matter what. So before you get on here making stupid comments learn how to read. And learn how to take a compliment.

A couple of those were like catching punts, but 6 picks in 2 games is very impressive no matter what.

Great win by the lions. Defense played an amazing game. LA had almost no offense after the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Cannon's defense won this game. Huge district win for Cannon. Maybe people will start thinking Cannon Co. is for real.

I know that coach Bager will have his team prepared and focused on friday night. Any team can win any game on any friday night, especially in a big rivalry like this. Should be a tough and physical game. I think the Indians should win this game by 2 Tds. Good luck to Barger and the Indians.

This should be a very close game. Both teams will have to play well if they want to win. Who ever shows up ready to play will probably come out with the W.

This is far from the same old cannon county. The program has been taking a turn for the best these last few years. If L.A. comes in expecting an easy win they are going to be in for a surprise. Cannon has an Explosive offense that can score at any time. And a defense that can keep them in games. Should be a good game.

I am very excited about this game. It will be interesting to see which Cannon team will show up. Will it be the team that came to the first half against Dekalb or in the Second half against York. This is a very important game for both teams. Should be a very good game.
