Am I reading this right how does Sequatchie being a #4 seed travel to York a #7 seed. It doesnt make any sense.

Lol Gerry this is how i have been my seeding the whole time, I thought you knew this. It makes alot of sense when you look how they do seeding. I know the playoff system is kinda confusing but some of it still makes sense. If seq wins friday and Goodpasture loses, Seq could possibly move to the #2 seed.

To clear up i copied and pasted this from MC vs SC. They said valley plays JV football and i thought that was a joke. They said polk ran all over SP and MC will do the same.

I love your enthusiasm for football over in the valley boys. Our district is not known for its football but it is going to be nice for the blue to beat the indians after the wildcats took down SP. My brother went to the Polk/SP game and said the polk boys hit them in the mouth all night and the pirates didnt know how to handle it. trust me when i say that sequatchie county will NOT even be one of the top three or four hardest hitting teams we have faced all year. purple2thebone you will find out real quickly that the junior varsity football you valley people play won't stand a chance against the Blue. Good Luck to Meigs. They have some decent Athletes from what i seen on Thursday night. They just had a hard time getting things going but do have the potential to move the ball if they play. Congrats to Polk on the big win. Best of luck to Both teams.

I doubt PF is a little better then average they barley beat a Meigs Co. team that is 2-7 and only put up 35 yards of Off. to Seq Co. first D. However, to PF credit i think they have Improved greatly since we have played them. They have a really good back from what i saw on film. Best of Luck to both teams.

So how sure are you that Bledsoe and Tyner gets moved to quad 2? If so this is great for Sequatchie Co. but I was looking forward to a rematch with Bledsoe.

Hey Gerry could you explain your seeding on the mid-west quad for me im a little confused. How is sequatchie a 6 seed with how their record is and the #2 district locked up?

What is your logic on the mid west Quad i have something way diffrent. Im just saying lets compare not saying your an Idiot by no means. I may be the one not getting something but as i have it Bledsoe, and Goodpasture does have there district locked up.Smith has to win there final game to win their district. Also, Sequatchie sitting at 5-3 has 2nd locked up in there district. Tyner has to beat Brainerd to finish second in theirs if not they are upper half. if Cannon finishes their District with a 3 way tie they will finish upper half also. East lit, if i understand could be wrong as to win both of there remaining games to finish at least second in their district. Pear-Cohn is in the same boat as East lit. One of those is going to get in as upper half the other as wild card. So this is how i have it now. 1.Bledsoe vs 8. East lit ( could easliy be higher) 4.Seq Co vs 5. Cannon ( Currently has best overall record with upper half teams) 3 Smith Co vs 6 Tyner ( Abover pearl cohn and East Lit because of quality wins) 2.Goodpasture vs 7 Pearl Cohn Seeds 5-8 could easliy change because alot of district play is left between those teams. IMO seeds 1-4 are almost set except Smith and Goodpasture could switch.

Exactly what i was thinking. Speed wise there are very few teams in the state that can match up speed for speed at EVERY position on the Field with South Pitt.They are very well coached team and have some really good players. I dont think this game will be close iv seen both on film and Sp is the better all around football team. No one in 1a will touch them.Best of luck to both teams!

I predict East Lit and Pear Cohn making the playoffs. Finish 7 and 8 seed in quad 3. East would travle to #1 seed Bledsoe and Pear Cohn traveling to # 2 seed Goodpasture. Both could be winnable games for each team. Bledsoe has to beat Rockwood...and Smith County is ahead of Goodpasture in tie-breaker. Hard to say who will be 1-2. Bledsoe can still lose to Rockwood and be #1 seed because the tie breaker when it goes to Quads is Strength of schedule. So as i predicted Bledsoe will lose to rockwood and still be #1seed. Reason is I think Smith and Goodpasture will still win out, leaving three teams tied at an 8-2 record. Bledsoe having the toughest and Smith having th weakest of the three. Also Goodpasture is ahead of Smith for the tie breaker. Goodpasture Strength of Schedule-84 Smith Co Strength of Schedule-99th. The lose to Cannon hurt if Smith would have won that game and Won out would have been #1 seed IMO had Bledsoe losing to Rockwood.

I will be giving updates on Quad 3. With only 2 weeks of football left the playoff picture should become more clear. Smith losing to cannon drops them to the 3 seed in the quad and moves them to the bottom half of the bracket. Tyner helped there chances of hosting a playoff game with the win over Central. A Seq Co. loss and Tyner beating brainerd will give them 4 seed and Seq will be 5. However, if Seq wins out and Tyner still beats brainerd Tyner wouldnt host, but would jump Cannon as the 5th seed. A Tyner loss to branierd will keep them where they are at now traveling to Smith. Also, Cannon is tied with the district title at the moment, but a 3 way tie with Smith and Dekalb would put Cannon In 3rd place. However, A Smith loss to York will put Cannon 2nd and Smith 3rd. That would place Cannon in a possible hosting Spot depending a Tyner loss to Branierd. Smith then would drop to upper half seeding spot. Still a lot of football left to play. 1.Bledsoe Co.-7-1-#1D-88th 2.Goodpasture-6-2-#1D-84th 3.Smith Co.-7-2-#1D-99th 4.Seq Co.-5-3-#2D-52nd 5.Cannon Co.5-4-#2D-31st ( They are actually tied for 1st but a 3 way tie would put cannon 3rd in district because of overall record. Then they would be considerd upper half.) 6.Tyner-4-4-#2D-18th ( they are currently tied for 2nd in district they need to win out to have a better seeding chance. Hoping to win out and a Seq. Co loss that would put them 4th.) 7.Pearl Cohn-4-4-Upper Half-53rd ( i have Pearl Cohn finishing in the upper half in there district,losing to David lipscomb) 8.East Lit-5-3-wild card-101st ( I have East lit losing one of the next two games, maybe both but getting in as a wild card) Still a lot of football left, next week will make the playoff picture more clear.

Cannon was going to be a qualifer for 3A even before they won last night over Smith. Any wildcard coming out of that district should be York. A York win over Smith Co. in week 10 could make them a qualifer and give Smith a wildcard. York and Smith should both make the play-offs. Still a LOT of football to be played before pairings are announced. Yes York will make it either way but they will be in the east Quad. You are right york will still get a wild card and Knock someone off from the east Quad.
