Well what a surprise. Wilson Central beats Coffee County in a complete "mockary" of the TSSAA playoff system. As if everyone doesnt already know this, Coffee County was a 2 seed with a 6-4 record and hosted a 3 seed with an 8-2 record. Yeah, I know that doesnt seem right, but when you are in a region that is as weak as Region 3 anyone can host a playoff game. Well we saw who the better coached team was tonight. I say that because I really believe Coffee County had a good team with tons of good athletes but when you have a coach that goes for it on literally every 4th down you jeopardize the heart and will of those athletes when time after time in really crucial moments of the game those 4th down attempts fail. It is not fair to the players to be coached as wrecklessly as they are. This was Coffee Countys best chance in years to win a region championship and a playoff game (nothing that has ever happened at CC) anything less than that with this senior loaded team would be considered a failure. Well, Coffee County players I do not believe you failed. You beat Tullahoma and got the Pot. You finished with a winning record (6-5), and you hosted a playoff game. With all that being said you could have done so much better. I am sad that many people (not posters) in Coffee County will look at this year as a failure. You had a better team than Lincoln County and may have had a chance to have beaten Lebanon and avenge that 72-14 loss a few years ago in the first round. Good season none the less to the players. Coaches please punt on 4th and 9 next year especially when you are in your own territory. I know I have been hard on the coaches at times this season but come on...thats common sense. Oh well, Good luck next year. I dont know what CC has coming back but its probably not region championship material, but then again in this region (3) everyone has a chance. Congratulations Wilson Central, Good luck next week. I hope JT Majors and company can lead you to the state championship. What about Coach Bill Price for Coffee County? Didnt he coach at Soddy once before? Would he be welcomed back if he applied?

The region 3 teams are gonna show how weak they are AGAIN Friday night. Region 3 will lose every game to a much stronger Region 4. Every team in Region 4 would be in the playoffs if they were individually each in Region 3. Region 3 has got to be the weakest region in 5A in the state. Neither Lincoln County or Coffee County would make the playoffs in Region 4. Just look at the Blackman / Lincoln County game or the Coffee County / Oakland game. Oakland finished 1-7 in their region and beat CC up and down the field all night long. Coffee County can compete for a bubble gum region 3 championship but they are no where near competing for a state title nor is any other team in Region 3. Coffee County will make a mockary of home field advantage and lose AGAIN to Wilson Central. Oakland completly dominated CC in this one. Another let down by Sisks "stout" defense. Dont let the score decieve you. CC kept their first teamers in the whole game and scored a junk TD at the end to make it look close. Did a CC player get hurt towards the end of the game???? I hope not. Why didnt Price put his 2nd teamers in the game to get some experience? Did Kajanabout get Hurt? I know Gonzales will be siting out next week due to being ejected. CC doesnt need another starter out. I hope KJ is OK. WHY WAS HE STILL IN THE GAME DURING GARBAGE TIME????

This was a game that the CC faithfull thought they would win big. They should have or at least everybody in manchester thought they would. Coffee County is gonna struggle this season. They faced an at best half-way decent 4-A team in Shelbyville and barely won. To the Shelbyville coaches...I would be very proud of how your boys played. You should have won the game tonight and in alot of ways you did...Your team will excell more than the CC team will this year. To the CC coaches I would say... Your Defensive Coordinator (Sisk) is a joke. He tries to look pretty in the papers but Price should call every play on every down...except 4th and long. I have looked forward to CC having a great year for a long time now but I honestly dont feel like the defense (or coordinator) can get them there. Coffee County may have won this game on paper, but it was a loss to them for all the people that expected a region championship. Coffee County will go 4-6 (at best) and outgain every team they play on offense but still lose most of them due to defensive coaching. BTW...??? CC's special teams coach isnt very good either. Please do everybody in CC a break and just kick the ball out of bounds at the 35 every play. To the CC players...I say congrats on the win, but dont expect your coaching staff to get you many more. The players on the CC team won this game on athletic ability alone... Any old fence walker could have coached you guys to a win tonight. Dont question yourselves...question your guidance. Great Job Coffee County Players!
