I have read alot of talk about Beech's run, the question is can beech stop an offense that has not been stopped all year. The only lose was to an Indy team who's line would make BAMA proud, they had the biggest line I have seen in years at the high school level, but they did not stop Columbia's offense. The way I see it Beech fans is if your run game is as good as you say it is, all Coumbia has to do is stop one third and short play and force a punt get a head buy one touch and lets see you guys do something no other team has been able to do, stop an offense that has weapons everywere. they only team that can stop Columbia is Columbia. Lions play your game, stay focused and please do not read coacht until next Saturday all this stuff we fans say will just get in your heads and coaches it will! Game will be 7:00 tuesday night Columbia vs Riverdale at the Stadium.

even though columbia is seeded higher than Lawrence Co. Columbia comes from a lower bracket game. 4( Columbia) and 5 seed plays #1 seed. and 6(lawrence Co.) and 3 seed plays #2 seed. Lawrence Co did not know that they were not supposed to beat the # 3 seed so it seems upside down but it really is not.

Sorry about the wrong state. CA is missing you, but let me tell you the goalie last night played very well I thought. I know she allowed 4 goals but she stopped alot more. And she will only get better as the year goes. good luck CA and keeper if you are reading this keep your head up and keep learning you have until Oct.

keep in mind one thing CA at this moment has NO goalie, Courtney Barker who would be a senior and a very good keeper moved to Mo. and so far as far as I know their freshman keeper is playing travel softball and has not commited to even play soccer. I hope the team can talk her into playing they need her and she is a great goalie or what ever position she wants to play!

My bad. this whole re-district thing will take a year to figure out. Page is in 11 and spring hill is in 12 that makes TSSAA since. Columbia lost alot. Very stronge class last year. but they return some great talent that know how to win. They also have a host of travel freshman that should be able to play, they were a very strong middle school team last year. It is tough for freshman to compete in this district but maybe a couple can. I understand they had the largest number to try out ever for the girls. So maybe Columbia soccer is growing. No one moved out and no one moved in just home grown talent! I heard that columbia academy lost their senior goalie, I hate to hear that. Time will tell, lets just see what coach kit has up his sleeve this year.

Just like most games both teams can look at the ref and say he called against them I think the ref over all did a good job! I did not agree with the pk I feel the goalie had a right to come out and get the ball he played the ball not the player, even though he missed. but my opinion. It looked as if Coumbia dug a little bit deeper when they got tired than Riverdale did. Good luck to both teams, they both have tough games ahead. Some great soccer was played last nite!

I know columbia had aready set a 2:00 time for a game on Sunday, so yes the game could have been played. there are alot of travel players on these teams, this would not have been moms first Mothers Day at a soccer field. I really think that it shows a lack of respect for Columbia and Franklin Co. to say ok we won't play today it is too wet so when we get to the reg. finals we will decide both trophies. columbia gave riverdale all they wanted the first meeting. and both district 8 teams are playing with as much heart as any one in the state. I hope the district 8 boys are reading these post from the players in 7 and play with a chip on their shoulders. This is a new season the past is the just that, please ya'll keep looking forward to Thursday night!

the game was not played because Tullahoma refused to play for some reason.

It looks like it is anybodies tourney this year. Tullahoma did not get much of an advantage other than home field by being first. I saw the records and several games, but to have shelbyville and columbia in your bracket is tough. no disrespect to the other teams intended. this will be fun good luck to all! I hope we come out with two teams ready to play 7 I do not see where the other bracket played games to get ready to go past district.

Payne fisher Columbia Central center mid smallest player on the field but has the biggest heart does not lose many 1v1's. And wins 90% of headers. fun to watch players like him.

so how is the district right now. I know: Columbia beat Franklin co. ( that is the only district game for them so far) they play Lincoln co Fri. it is spring break last year lincoln co gave them all they wanted and more Franklin co tied Tullahoma? right CC tied Shelbyville I think Lincoln co has a couple of losses CC has at least a loss and a tie Franklin Co has at least a loss a tie and I think a win So is it going to come down to Columbia, tullahoma and Shelbyville or is one of the other teams going to be able to step up and get a win over one of these to get into the mix of the regular season. I know it looks like on paper to be a very good tournament. but with the new stay at home format the regular season sets up a big advantage for the number one seed. I know when we had to travel to Franklin co. it is a long bus ride and it is hard to play your best when you ride a bus for two hours. anyone else have any comments on this.

oh make no mistake I won everytime I have been there. I am just saying that the small field plays into the hands of a weaker team. and now that I do not play anymore I can say that without the worry of ever having to prove it again.

playing at the middle school is not a good indication of what anyone on Shelbyvilles teams can do. It plays into the hands of the slower less skilled team everytime. so no wonder shelbyville could not score. it is like keeping ten in the box on defense (which is what CC did last time I played there).

was the CC/ Shelbyville game in Shelbyville or at the coffee county middle school?

Coffee County is not columbia and this score surprises me. Is coffee that good this year or did Shelbyville have a bad nite.

to offer something maybe to get something started. I think Thursday night if Tullahoma plays the same defense I saw them play against Columbia. Shelbyville will work the goalie to death she is real good but how many shots can she stop. That is what we will find out thursday. I hope she eats her wheaties. I say Shelbyville 3-1 and it will be that close only because of the Tullahoma Keeper. Columbia Central and Brentwood Academy 2-2 Brentwod scored late in the game to tie both teams played well it was a clean tight passing game both teams showed a off timing but that will come with the season. Fun game to watch!

All play days and tournaments are TSSAA approved. And they count just as I stated in y earlier post. I promise if you do not abide to my first post you will be in trouble with TSSAA if caught. You can call or go to a coaches meeting and ask Gene Beck is traveling all over the state the next few weeks so you can catch a meeting close to you.
