each team is allowed 4 soccer dates for pre-season. a jamboree counts as two games no matter how many games you play. if you take the jv and varsity to a jamboree it counts as two dates. now if your jv and varsity play the same day at two different jamborees it conts as all four dates. it is so what confusing at times but your team is one team as long as they stay at the same site at he same time. if you send your jv to play one team out of town and the varsity stays home and plays that same day it counts as two dates but if they play at the same field then it counts as one game. clear as mud right. Tullahoma had to cancel all their pre-season games last year because they sent the jv a dn varsity to two different jamborees on the same day. I hope that helps if not call Gene Beck at TSSAA.

CHS is for Central high school aka columbia. the pre-season will have a little peek at 7 and 8 Columbia will play Riverdale. I know it is only pre-season but will be a peek. Columbia will find out fast what they are made of the first 10 days they play Independence then go to Oak Ridge and play some very tough teams. So we will have our answer quick. not to mention the other pre-esason game Brentwood academy.

I really can't predict who is going to win 8AAA but here is how it will look in the top 4 teams as I see them. CHS returns all but one all district player. We should be a strong contender. Shelbyville lost several great players, but still have the Warren girl and still have several players that will make a name for them selves this year. But i would expect them to be a little down but far from out. Tullahoma is going to have to do some rebuilding this year they have a really stong defender and great goalie, and always have some one to go to goal, I also have heard they have a transplant from Ill. who is supposed to be pretty good. Teh team will have to ajust to a new coach which should be an easy thing because he has been there for so long but still will be a change. But the some what of a surprise to most people this year will be Lincoln County. They have some really good young talant. If they come together look out! the other three teams I think are still looking for answers. I will go out on a limb and maybe this is more from the heart than anything else but 1. CHS 2. Tullahoma 3.Shelbyville 4. Lincoln(It might take one more year for these girls to come together) OK now you have something to talk about.

It may be that our coach was misinformed but he was told that with the new calander rules that no one can legally hold tryouts until after July 7th. so all you teams that held them this spring I would not be talking about it. And also under TSSAA high school coaches are not aloud to be a travel games unless they have a child on the field. If these are not the rules please correct me.

Columbia"s keeper Courtey Barker is good also And we have nto heard from the Coffee County loyal yet this year. What do we expect form Manchester?

Since you guys are stat guys. One other stat you need to look at for Central. On Eurosportscoreboard.com at the bottom there is an over all opponent won loss record. It seems from this that Central played a much harder schedule than anyone in the district. And if other teams played tougher teams they might just get scored on more!

boys, the season really does not count. as long as you win the games in your district the others are just for practice. and when you practice the score does not always matter. Bone was always the fastest player onthe field and he is only one player. he can not account for the rest of the team.it was a district award and Blackman and Riverdale are in another district. Besides that he was one goal and mins. away from the regional title game the other guys were either at home or getting beat also. No one in our district can out run him to the goal bottom line end of story, that made him the MVP of Defense. he did not name himself.
