What a small world. Andy's cousin Tinker is my brother in law. His dad's name is Bubby Clark. I know Ashley Costner too. lol. Ill probably come to the Maryville game this weekend. I played football for Cosby. I graduated in 07. Me and My bro are now playing at Emory and Henry.

It is hard to say why CCHS has fell off so bad. The easy thing to do is point fingers at the coaches. Well, the talent isn't there. There just isn't enough good players in the school to compete. I am an 07 Cosby graduate. My senior year we would have beat Cocke county. When there is more talent in a 500 kid school than a 1400 kid school, something is wrong. Next it is the coaching. You cant come into a struggling program and be a diciplinarian. You can't be a stickler and run off kids you don't have enough of. You have to be a fun coach and make great relationships with the kids and parents. Get the respect of the community. Once you build a system you can get a little more tough. Hire a coach who knows the game well and will gets all the athletes out. It is possible to be good again. Also, back in the day, CCHS had a lot of black players. Now they have one or two. Get some speed out there.

Well Im sure the rust from football is shook off yet either. I can tell he looks like a good player, he just looked very rusty. He even air balled a shot or two. Ill try to see him again later in the year.

ive heard so much from Mcbee from Rutledge and I went to watch him play Cocke County and was dissapointed. When Cosby was ranked #1 in the state and very good he dropped 30 on us, AS A FRESHMAN. He hasnt got much better though.

To throw in a single A team you have to mention Cosby. Very tough place to play for people. Capacity wise one of the biggest in Single A and always packed. "The Nest"/"The Hill" is a dreaded place to go. Also Oliver Springs isn't an easy place tp play.

Thats the difference my man. You say he is the best runningback in TN history. There are 10-15 better runningbacks in florida, Califonria, and Texas that are better than him EVERY YEAR. Tennessee usually gets their hands on a couple of them every year too. Rogan was special, but not every down SEC running back material. He only weighs like 170-175. Safety is where he needs to be.

About the MVP award. It could possibly be shared again this year. We didnt win the region last year and I shared it with A.T. It is very possible.

I like the heck out of G-P. Im goog friends with 4 or 5 boys on the team. Its been too long since they've reached the 2nd round in the briar thicket. Dyer and Pittser are great backs. My boy C.Jenkins is productive when he gets burn behind those two nasty backs. T.O. can chuck the nugget and I would say G-P has the advantage on the sidelines. Better coaching. Ill be there Friday rooting for G-P. God Cosby people would turn in their grave if they heard me say that. lol

I like Grace about as much as you Cloudland and Hampton people do. But Ill say the best QB in the rgin is Brad Self from Grace Christian School. Lil' Mike Lunsford is the MVP and played on a better team but Self is a better QB. Self has a better arm, makes better reads, and runs a tough offense very, very well. Mike Jr. couldn't cut it in a offense like that. Though Mike Jr. is a proven winner 3 times over. Self could easily run the offense in Hampton and be as productive as Mike. Mikeuldnt run a spread offense and throw 45-50 times with the line Grace has. Just my opinion.

No question the Buckner kid from Jellico had a good season. I would like to know if his stats were better than the QB's stats from Grace. They chuck the nugget and chuck it well. I would like to see a defense with that offense. If the stats from Grace and Jellico are similar, the awards go to Grace for their playoff birth. Jellico is practicing basketball week 11. But Grace's coach has NO CLUE! They may score with Midway but Midway might put up Arkansas like rushing numbers. Why did they get rid of Saterfield?

I dont dought what youre saying but I do know that the state champion in 98 was Moore county. I know because my highschool team lost the state championship in 98.

A cosby win over gc, gc over cloudland, jellico over unaka, Unaka out, the others are all 2-3.. I have no idea how that works.. If this happens Cosby is out. It would go Grace, Cloudland, jellico.

Correct me if im wrong. Hampton 4-0 Cloudland 4-0 Grace 1-3 Jellico 1-3 Unaka 1-3 Cosby 1-3 So being Cosby has one win as does Unaka, Jellico, and Grace. Cosby is rooting for Unaka because they own the tie breaker. If jellico loses out and we beat Grace, Cosby is in?

Hampton has a great team. Coach Lunsford is a nice guy too, glad I got to meet him and Pujo. But one thing, Im going to say one of my dad's favorite quotes. " The sun don't shine on the same DAWGS @$$ everyday". Think about that. What was up with the going for two while up forty points by the way?

omg! You are right man. Cosby could never win this game. If Hampton only brough like 15 jv kids they would still lose. It would be impossible for Cosby to win if Hampton turned the ball over 15 times. What was I thinking?
