  1. Pickett County was much improved tonight. It didn't help that LCA is completely decimated by injuries. Missing tonight were starters at QB, HB, FB, RT, all three LB spots, and SS. Onside kicks and deep bombs up 30 points won't be forgotten by LCA's players and coaches I'm sure.
  2. The TSSAA has not approved home school players. When we move into the TSSAA---hopefully in 2009---we will have to stop allowing home schoolers to have that opportunity with our program. It is unfortunate because we are able to give a couple of kids an opportunity they wouldn't have otherwise, but I do see the potential problems the TSSAA foresees. Thanks for your kind words!
  3. LOL...yeah, I wonder if we got the whole package this weekend? Roughridaz, ready to man up and face the music? We're waiting for your feedback on this game!
  4. King's Academy comes into Friday night's game with a record of 2-4, while Lancaster Christian stands at 5-2. TKA has played the tougher schedule, losing to Jellico (5-1), Clay County (4-2), Grace Christian (3-3), and Cosby (2-5). LCA is on a three-game winning streak and is 3-0 in the Mid South Football Conference. Anyone have info on TKA? Thoughts or predictions on this one? I anticipate this to be one of the toughest games we play this season. If we can pull out a win, we are in the drivers' seat in the MSFC. We have not played well lately, but I think we put everything together this week and win by the slimmest of margins, 21-20.
  5. Thanks...I wasn't at the game, so I'm not sure how we looked. Based on what I know of Scottsboro, I think we probably didn't play our best game. But, a win is a win and we'll take it.
  6. Sounds like more sour grapes from a fan of a Christian school which will go nameless. As has been stated numerous times, LCA has TWO FRESHMAN HOME SCHOOLERS ON THE TEAM, BOTH OF WHICH HAVE MISSED THE ENTIRE SEASON WITH INJURIES. Neither player is or was a key player. Keep on crying... LCA 20, Scottsboro 8
  7. I know it's hard to believe that RBS is hands down better than anyone, but that is what I saw on the field as we played both teams. LCA pounded Mt. Juliet Christian by 32 points and it really could have been a 50 point blowout. Coach Greene called off the dogs in the 3rd quarter. Red Boiling Springs took us down to the wire and we escaped with the win. Neither team has a good offense, that's for sure. However, Red Boiling's defense is MUCH better than MJCA's. RBS could revert to what I saw on film, but they tackled and pursued the ball very well against us. Coach Boles has those guys playing well and I would not be surprised if they are buying into what he is selling after last week.
  8. Can someone just explain how 220+ rushing yards with a 150+ yard rusher is bad? Thanks for your help!
  9. RBS is hands down better than MJCA this year. I'm picking the Bulldogs by 10.
  10. Lancaster rushed for over 220 yards and our leading rusher had 151 yards. While RBS defended us as well as anyone has this season, your sarcastic remarks are out of place as we still had a fine rushing attack against them. LCA will defeat SCA...my predictions last game were way off on the score, so I'll leave it simply as a prediction of a win.
  11. A touchdown run of about 20 yards WAS called back on a bogus, late holding call on our tackle. #5 took it into the endzone. I don't really think anything "came back to haunt us" as we still won and the losing streak is still intact...at least for a week. It ends next week.
  12. Smyrna, TN. First year program with about 100 kids 7th-12th grade.
  13. Its the exact opposite of an excuse. I'm not going to say one way or another if it was well-called. Someone else needs to watch the film and come up with their own opinion. Listen, I gave RBS their credit. We can keep going with this if you want, but its not worth it. We still picked up the W, thoroughly dominated the game statistically and had a touchdown called back and two drives stalled in the red zone because of penalties.
  14. Umm, do you not realize that you are quoting two different people? All I said was the penalties were 11-4 with the yardage heavily in favor of RBS. Thats a FACT, not an excuse.
  15. 227 yards of offense. Potts got fewer carries than Cody Guynn (FB) and Guynn put up over 150 yards. We only turned the ball over once. It was the 11 penalties for over 150 yards compared to 4 penalties that killed drives. Watch the film if you want to decide for yourself if the game was well-called.
  16. Thanks for your feedback...I'm trying to give RBS some credit here and admit that I underestimated them. I think if you were to watch the film or look at the numbers, the much better team would be obvious.
  17. 12-3 Lancaster. I admit that RBS played much, much better than I expected or saw on film. Hats off to them...they WILL beat MJCA next week.
  18. www.midsouthfootball.com . You can view league leaders there. Justin Potts has 719 yards rushing. LCA's website has probably not been updated because of the Homecoming week.
  19. 1. Do you think we've never watched high school football in Tennessee before? How inexperienced do you think our staff and school is when it comes to football? We are well aware of how far we have to go...but we are still proud of the three wins we've got. Do you not think we are much further along than DBCS was, even last year? If I recall, you were winning VERY narrow games against teams like Sewanee last season. We will beat up on them in year one. 2. Why does DBCS get a pass for "pathetic" play in the first half, but LCA gets no credit for a good first half? How about LCA played badly in the second half? I have said that I think the better team won that night and DBCS outplayed us in the second half. However, take off the navy and silver shades for a second and let's be real. DBCS got a TD in the first half based on a fumble on the 5 yard line. Sounds a lot like "DB was the team that fumbled a kick-off return on your 20," doesn't it? Three dropped passes? I'm sorry that your team's receivers are not very good and can't catch (minus the big TD at the end)...you don't get credit for plays your team obviously is not capable of making. 3. LCA had more total yards in the game. That is not the only evidence of how close the teams were, but lets just let the facts speak for the game. Our yardage was better, we had more turnovers and we were penalized more. This game was MUCH closer than you are leading people to believe. DBCS is a program on the rise and I look forward to continuing to play you guys...I believe we will end up in D-II and we should have many great match-ups in the future. More importantly, I'm glad for both DBCS and LCA who are clearly schools that are more committed to the Lord than anything else. God bless the rest of your season!
  20. Listen, I'm not here to stir up a bunch of negativity for our program. In fact, I have almost always posted all positives about ours and every other program. However, it does get tiring to read posts where people comment about not caring about our program or that we don't deserve to be talked about. The fact that no one knows about us is MORE REASON TO POST ABOUT OUR PROGRAM. Of course I'm going to post about us and look for feedback... Who ever said we would beat Friendship Christian? Trousdale County? South Pittsburgh? I know that wasn't me, or any other LCA fan. We're fully aware of the strength of our schedule, but for a first year program we are doing great! If you only post in our thread because you think you need to inform us about regions or what high school football is all about, then save it. I do hope we destroy RBS simply so people out there know that is not the level of football program we have now, nor will we ever have. And FCS, thanks for the little "lesson." I assure you, I know more about high school coaching, athletic administration, and TSSAA regions/regulations than you seem to think. And for the record, I know plenty about RBS's program...and they haven't put in even close to the work that the LCA boys have. I say that with complete confidence and knowledge about both programs.
  21. LOL. Claiming injuries for Pickett County is hilarious. I don't care who played or didn't play, LCA physically manhandled that squad all night. 33-6 was the final and we played as bad as we could possibly play. Our turnovers were entirely our fault and PCHS did nothing to create them. A 27 point win coupled with 7 turnovers and you want to try and make a case for PCHS? Laughable. I hope LCA runs up the score all night...let's talk again after Friday. By the way, does anyone else get tired of hearing how the Dawgs have such great heart and determination? Do you really think they work as hard as everyone else? I doubt it. 70 game losing streaks don't usually result when teams work their butts off year-round.
  22. I'm going to assume that everyone figures LCA will win by three touchdowns or more and just doesn't want to hurt the feelings of those "hardworking boys" from RBS. Is that about right? Predictions? I'm going to go ahead and say Lancaster wins this one 43-14.
  23. You're right...as long as they keep their heads in the real world, or something like it, they should be fine. My prediction: LCA 42, RBS 6
